If a Liberal Goes on A Shooting Rampage and the Media Doesn't Cover It, Did It Happen?

A former serviceman and LAPD officer is on the loose after having shot five people. The man in question wrote a manifesto that reads like a liberal wet dream. He is anti-gun, loves Piers Morgan, Barack Obama, MSNBC, CNN and Anderson Cooper (whom he also sent a package to). He adores Hillary and Bill and abhors Wayne LaPierre of the NRA.

The guy (and no, I will not write his name because all serial killers want notoriety) was done wrong by the LAPD and is now taking it out on everyone else. He's a one man killing machine and has written he's "off the grid' and will not be caught.

The media have buried this story because it doesn't fit the narrative of a right-wing gun nut going rogue. They can't blame it on the NRA, Sarah Palin or Rush Limbaugh so they just refuse to cover the aspects of the story that show he's a lefty nutjob.

The Unseriousness of Gun Control Advocates

The gun control debate is burning again as it does every few years or so. Like the abortion debate, both sides dig in and eventually it settles down with no real change but return to stasis.

This time things are different and the outcome now is not as certain as it has been in the past.

This topic has been beaten to death throughout the blogosphere and twitter world but one thing I haven't seen is a liberal stand up and tell us what will happen if they get their dream of a "gun free America". They tout statistics about places that have confiscated weapons like the UK and Australia but they never seem to compare that to what an America free of legal weapons would look like.

It's pretty easy to look at a place, right here in the good old USA that has tried to ban weapons and see what the effects have been: Rahm Emanuel's Chicago. Some intellectually challenged libs like to throw the Chicago card out but then not to seriously debate the topic but to use that final, desperate bit of ammo; the race card. It's funny that liberals have used the race card so much over the last 15 years that it's affect has been blunted to the point of boredom. It's akin to having a bag full of kick-ass fireworks from Ohio and lighting them off. You light all the big ones off first and hear oohs and aahs from everyone. But in the end, you look in the bag and you have nothing but a pack of twenty bottle rockets you got free when you bought the big stuff. You light it off and it whistles and pops but it's kind of anti-climactic.

Anyway, let's imagine the perfect liberal fantasy world where America is transformed into what they want, a place where guns are illegal, illegal aliens are legal and abortions are free. Barack Obama has managed to subvert the Constitution even more than he already has and has managed to confiscate every legal gun in America and ban their sale. His new effort is the much-heralded War on Guns, which is modeled after Nancy Reagan's War on Drugs. If you are caught with a gun, you receive a mandatory minimum of 5-years for each weapon and an additional 2 years for every magazine over five rounds. Will places like Chicago be safer?

Now let's take this further; imagine that weapons are illegally smuggled into the US through Mexico using existing drug tunnels and other distribution means. Imagine hundreds of thousands of weapons flowing north through Juarez and Tecate. Who will buy these weapons? The government has already confiscated the formerly legal weapons using names from lists the government accumulated in the years leading up to the gun laws.

What the hell would America look like then? When only criminal have weapons, they will prey on those who don't. The law would have about as much affect on crime and mass shootings then prohibition and the War on Drugs has had. If you want to see the end result, just look at Mexico or, closer to home Chicago. Chicago has the strictest gun laws in the nation and has seen a huge increase in violent crime caused by guns. Roughly 25% of those crimes are ever solved. Imagine if that were to spread out south east and west. America would soon look like the Australia portrayed in the Mad Max series.

Those very same people who are advocating for repeal of our constitutionally guaranteed right to bear arms would be the very same ones screaming for the government to "do something!!! The problem is that those who could do something will be unable to assist in stopping it.

9-Year Old Girls Are Not Collateral Damage

My first reaction to the attempted murder of a Congresswoman and the successful murder of a federal judge was outrage and horror at what one man could do. The left and the media (but I'm redundant) took it as an opportunity to blame the right and Tea Party types because as Rahm Emanuel once said: "never let a good crisis go to waste". They immediately tied this to conservatives without a shred of proof and before the smoke had even cleared.

It never occurred to them that a 9-year old girl was brutally murdered. She was a daughter, grand-daughter and friend to people who loved her and her life was snuffed out by a madman. I hope all you festering crotch sores who pounced on this story to score weak political points can live with that but then, you're godless (except maybe Gaia) so I'm sure it's not even a vacant itch on your conscience.

But you see, to these douchebags, Christina Taylor-Green was just collateral damage in the greater war. Unfortunate yes, but people do die in the struggle to change America into a socialist utopia don't you know? The left is a wounded animal from the ass-kicking handed them by the American voter and a wounded animal is the worst, most desperate kind. This is war to them and one in which they fully intend to win regardless of cost. They wanted a moment where Barack Obama could shine and regain that mojo he once had and if it took a dead girl to get that, well so be it.

In their insane endeavor to blame the right, they showed even more of their true, vile selves. This is the left those of us who've paid attention know is out there. These are not the fringe loons but the establishment. Paul Krugman, Kos and many other popular liberal writers. They look at every situation and think not of the horrific event but what they can gain from the horrific event.

Their lack of shame is telling as is their ability to quickly forget what appeared on their own sites. Just delete what was written and move on. Note also how the meme in the leftosphere went quickly from Loughner being a "teabagger" to gun control without even taking a breath to look at what they've wrought. But hey, the truth has been collateral damage in the left wing fever swamps for nearly a decade so why should using a little girl's murder for gain cause any great soul searching?

It must have been much easier since beautiful Christina's mother went on Fox News yesterday and not CNN or MSNBC, it made it that much easier to lump her in with the other non-humans who don't worship at the alter of Alinsky.

My prayers to the family of Little Christina (especially her grandfather who holds a special place in the hearts of Phillies fans), Rep. Giffords, the family of Judge Toll and the others who were wounded or died. I feel sad that the media chose to carry water for the left instead of doing their duty and report on those who were lost in a senseless act of violence by a homicidal maniac.

Amusingly, Matt Drudge posted that Loughners old friends labeled him "liberal" and kept that up all day. More people read Drudge then watch NBC, MSNBC, CNN, ABC and CBS combined. That will do more to discredit the media then anything because you fucking assholes on the left started this game but you don't have the juice to finish it. Enjoy owning the newest title of worlds biggest scumbags.

Democrats Continue to Meltdown on Health Care

Those who were tasked with gaining support for the health care plan they've set forth have been shown to be ill-suited with explaining it, irate when questioned on it and generally incapable of holding rational debate.

Rep. David Scott (D-GA) is just the latest but will not be the last as he went on a "tirade" against a doctor who questioned the past results of socialized medicine in a town hall meeting:



Sen. McCaskill (D-MO) canceled an event due to "safety concerns", an obvious attempt to dodge her constituents questions on the issue and a convenient one at that.

Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) got an earful as well when he held a town hall and the police had to break up arguments.

And on and on...

I find it humorous that when the mob scenes organized by liberal groups such as Moveon and A.N.S.W.E.R. were screaming at elected leaders they were showing their patriotism or some other such drivel while real Americans not affiliated with anyone and probably have never advocated a political position to such an extent are labeled as "astroturfers" and other terms to marginalize them. In the You Tube generation, the unions and their Democratic backers can no longer lie and obfuscate, they've been flat busted.

This is an issue that will stay in peoples minds for awhile and if they ram the legislation through we'll see a backlash of unprecedented proportions come 2010.

Things are turning ugly. Town halls, which typically serve as open, safe environments to ask questions of elected officials, have degenerated into violent shouting matches.

Last night in St. Louis, Missouri, a reverend and member of SEIU was assaulted at a town hall. The incident, along with a town hall in Tampa, Florida, has been all over the radio and cable news shows. GOP operatives are rushing to paint it as SEIU "thug" violence. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

Cable news channels are broadcasting images of neighbors turning against one another in chaotic, sometimes frightening town hall meetings. Incited by extremist radio and TV hosts, "teabagger" protesters are yelling and chanting talking points that span from radicalism to racism.

It is extremely discouraging to see people treating one another like this. And it’s a reminder of how GOP scare-tactics ("the government will kill the elderly,!" [sic] "the government will choose your doctors!" or "the government will ration care!") use fear to overpower the truth.

We are at a turning point. To succeed, we will continue to elevate this conversation, distinguish ourselves from the opposition, and speak to our fellow Americans with respect and dignity. Where we disagree, we’ll invite discussion. And when we agree, we’ll work together toward a solution.

We're at a crucial moment in our country with regard to politics and one in which we could see the fastest pendulum swing ever. A president who came into office with more goodwill than any predecessor has implemented programs that has sent his poll numbers into a tailspin and has led to partisanship on a monumental scale. This will only help the GOP in the midterms and may send the Democrats back to irrelevance for a decade.

Waterloo Indeed: Black Protester Beat By Union Thugs

The Democrat's henchmen--the Service Employee's International Union (SEIU)--attacked a black man selling "Don't Tread on Me" flags for doing nothing more than practicing his God-given right to protest:

St. Louis County police say six people were arrested. Two of those were arrested on suspicion of assault, one of resisting arrest and three on suspicion of committing peace disturbances. Carnahan was gone when the ruckus started.

Kenneth Gladney, a 38-year-old conservative activist from St. Louis, said he was attacked by some of those arrested as he handed out yellow flags with “Don't tread on me” printed on them. He spoke to the Post-Dispatch from the emergency room of the St. John's Mercy Medical Center, where he said he was waiting to be treated for injuries to his knee, back, elbow, shoulder and face that he suffered in the attack. Gladney, who is black, said one of his attackers, also a black man, used a racial slur against him before the attack started.

“It just seems there's no freedom of speech without being attacked,” he said.

This is not going well for the Dems with Pelosi's appearance in Denver drawing a crowd that scuffled and events elsewhere ending in violence by unions against protesters.

Everyone knows that unions support Democrats and these videos will be used by the GOP in the midterms with devastating effect. I foresee this driving down support by at least ten points in the next week and if more events are marred by violence, we'll see a twenty point drop by the time Congress reconvenes in September.

The impact this is having on Obama is immeasurable at this point. It may well be his Waterloo.

NYU Students Take Over, Demand Action on Palestine

Great, we've revisited the worst of the sixties. Students have taken over the cafeteria at NYU to demand, among other things, scholoarships for Palestinians, action on Palestine and a tuition freeze plus union rights.

NOW Actually Notes "Honor Killing"

Generally when the left-wing National Organization for Women (NOW) speaks out on an issue, it's one that will cast Conservatives and/or Republicans in a bad light. Whenever it's a democrat such as Bill Clinton, the myriad media hacks who smeared and degraded Sarah Palin or the various stonings, rapes and hangings of women in Muslim nations, they suddenly clam up.

Not today as I guess the beheading of a woman by her well-known Muslim husband was just too horrifying and close to home. But of course, she tempers it:

She decried the scant national media attention paid to the story, which broke the same day as the commuter plane crash that killed 50 people in Clarence.

While domestic violence affects all cultures, Muslim women find it harder to break the silence about it because of a stigma, she said.

While many cultures suffer domestic violence and it's generally against women, no other culture I've read about uses ritual beheading as often as the Religion of Peace (TM). I can't think of another culture where a woman was decapitated by her husband because she asked for a divorce but then i could have missed it.

San Francisco Sanctuary Law Results in Murder

During the heated debate about illegal immigration last year, the city of San Francisco was singled out as ground zero of the "sanctuary city" debate. SF Mayor Gavin Newsom maintained a shield law whereby illegal immigrants were not reported to the federal government when they were arrested and thus avoided deportation.

As is so often the case with liberal policies, it has backfired and resulted in the death of four people, the latest a 14-year old boy named Ivan Miranda (pictured right):

SAN FRANCISCO -- A teenager accused of stabbing a 14-year-old boy to death in a gang-motivated attack had been given sanctuary from deportation under San Francisco's previous practice of shielding young illegal immigrant felons from federal authorities, records show.

Rony Aguilera, 17, known as "Guerrillero," has been charged as an adult in the July 31 sword attack in the Excelsior neighborhood that killed Ivan Miranda, who police say was an innocent victim caught up in an act of gang vengeance. Authorities believe Aguilera is an illegal immigrant from Honduras, but he was never referred to federal officials after being arrested last year in an assault case, according to records reviewed by The Chronicle.

Aguilera is the second person this year to be charged with murder in San Francisco after having been protected from possible deportation under city officials' now-discarded interpretation of a sanctuary ordinance that barred agencies from cooperating with federal efforts to round up illegal immigrants.

Four people are dead because San Francisco has a policy that makes it illegal to report illegals who by definition have already broken federal law. Four people who would be alive now if Mayor Newsom had not given the finger to the feds are now dead. I'm sure their families are really happy about Newsom's liberal policy and have nothing but a warm fuzzy feeling for him when crying over the graves of their loved ones.

Granted, Newsom has made changes to the policy, yet it was too late to save these four people. "I'm sorry" isn't going to cut it and amending the sanctuary law will not bring these four people back.

The Gay SS

Homosexuals are a combined 0-30 in electoral battles to get same-sex marriage legalized. The latest and probably hardest blow...er, most difficult loss to deal with was the passage of Prop. 8 in California. This was it they thought, this was the winner with a high turn out expected and an extremely liberal presidential candidate whom would draw in millions of voters who would support them and vote the measure down.

Unfortunately for them, they lost once again. Now they are turning their wrath on those who they feel wronged them and posting names:

Dentists, accountants, veterinarians and the like who gave a few thousand dollars to the cause are listed alongside major donors like the Container Supply Co., Inc. of Garden Grove, Calif., which gave $250,000. "Anyone who steps into a political fight aimed at taking away fundamental rights from fellow citizens opens themselves up to criticism," said Wolfson. "The First Amendment gives them the right of freedom of speech and to support political views, but people also have the right to criticize them."

Now just imagine that it was a conservative group doing the same thing, does anyone believe even a little that there wouldn't being a sentence in that piece about incitement to violence or somesuch language? What these gay brownshirts are doing is listing targets and the gay group have already shown that they will attack anyone--old women, blacks, etc.--who had the chutzpah to get in their way. Imagine if, say, a pro 2nd Amendment group did the same thing.

Someone is going to get seriously hurt in this and the media will gloss it over.

Update: Read this and watch this. Instead of calling it a black list, call it a hit list because essentially, they are calling for the all-out assault on those who exercised their freedoms and are setting those people up for revenge.

The MSM's New Meme: McCain/Palin Inciting Violence

Although there's been no evidence to support the theory, it's the newest meme and will be with us until election day.

The media can't quite grasp why Obama hasn't been able to take off in this race, he meets all the criteria they have established as the good criteria. It also is a war for them, they banded together to beat Bush in 2000 and they lost. They redoubled their efforts in 2004 and lost. They sensed their medium is waning and are desperate at this point to prove they are still the force they claim to be even though the distribution numbers and overall credibility they have are at a nadir.

They are fighting mad and will parrot any Dem talking points they can because they actually want to believe that McCain and especially Palin are whipping up the crowd like a good old fashioned KKK rally or Nazi meeting. The fact that it isn't true doesn't matter now as they eschewed any pretense of fairness long ago.

Al Gore Encourages "Civil Disobedience" Over Power Plants

Former VP and environmental hypocrite Al Gore is urging on the the agitators:

Nobel Peace Prize winner and environmental crusader Al Gore urged young people on Wednesday to engage in civil disobedience to stop the construction of coal plants without the ability to store carbon.

The former U.S. vice president, whose climate change documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" won an Academy Award, told a philanthropic meeting in New York City that "the world has lost ground to the climate crisis."

Translated from Gorese into English he's actually saying "that Obama character has stolen my thunder and the rise in gas prices has turned the American people into anti-environmentalist's who encourage drilling everywhere so let's riot".

By the way Al, this is the type of civil disobedience the libs are good at.

The fact that without coal-fired power plants, Gores own house--a building that has a carbon footprint larger than most African nations--would go dark seems to have escaped the Goracle. Obama's success has put a dent in Gore's lucrative business as a hypocritical environmental shill so it's time to take off the (hemp) gloves and get serious about putting coal-fired plants in a "lockbox". I guess Biden is getting his talking points from the Goracle instead of his running mate.

The left-wingers tossed sandbags from overpasses at buses carrying delegates from Minneapolis to St. Paul. A sandbag ways roughly fifteen to twenty pound and could kill someone if dropped from heights. That's not protesting, that's attempted murder.

And yes, these fine, upstanding men and women even went after kids. The Obama nation is in effect, hope (we make it to the arena alive) and change (your shirt because you just got hit by a urine bomb).

Shocka! Violent Muslim Holiday Turns Violent

No, I never saw this coming:

The processions were marred by violence with a deadly bombing in northern Iraq and clashes south of Baghdad.

Too Many Young Black Men Dying

A must-read by David Aldridge this morning:

I'm angry that people cry about Sean Taylor's death because he was an outstanding football player, as if his death has extra meaning because he had great closing speed. This is not about sports.

We have buried 200 Sean Taylors in this city this year. We don't know what would have come of their dreams and hopes. They deserve our tears, too, for they may have been anonymous to you, but they weren't to their mothers and fathers, their best friends and lovers, their teachers and mentors.

I'm angry that, as of 2004, according to the Centers for Disease Control, homicide is the No. 1 cause of death among black men ages of 15 to 34. I'm angry that the Justice Policy Institute found more black men in prison than in college.

I'm angry that young brothers who like school and want to learn are accused of "acting white," and have to make the awful choice of sticking with their education or sticking with their boys. It happened to me when I was 5. I've never gotten over it. How does one mend a heart broken by those who look most like him?
