Do Any Liberals/Democrats Ever Take Responsibility?

Sphere: Related Content

One of the memories I'll always have of the Obama years is that he refused to ever take responsibility for anything. He used the excuse I heard in TV just like you for everything from the IRS scandal to Hillary's emails. Hell, John Stewart called him out on that bullshit excuse. Now I may be wrong here and maybe, in fact, his people did hide things from him but does anyone really believe him when he says stuff like this.

Or how about Obama and Hillary in the wake of the Benghazi attacks that killed four including an ambassador? Neither took responsibility and instead blamed it on a You Tube anti-Islam video that was seen by about twenty people prior to them noting it. They not only arrested the film maker and held him for an extended period of time but also said to the families that this was the cause while standing in front of their flag-draped coffins and sent Susan Rice out to tell the lie on all the Sunday shows. Instead of accepting responsibility and saying we reacted poorly they neglected it and went with an implausible excuse that was never followed up by the media. In fact, they knew it was a terror attack before it even happened.

Just two days ago we have Obama claiming the following:

"We should take great pride in the progress that we've made over the last eight years. That's the bottom line. No foreign terrorist organization has successfully planned and executed an attack on our homeland." --President Obama, remarks at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Fla., Dec. 6, 2016

I'm guessing the victims of the Orlando night club massacre, San Bernardino, Fort Hood and the Boston Marathon bombing may disagree.

And now we have another uber-liberal who shirks responsibility. NYC Mayor Bill DiBlasio is claiming that it's Michael Bloomberg's fault that homelessness in NY City is rocketing up. Reality tells us that DiBlasio's horrible policies are 100% blame. Believe me, I'm no supporter of Bloomberg, he's a gun-grabbing liberal as well but at least one who accepted responsibility for things going wrong.

How we went from Democratic President Harry S. Truman explaining that the buck stopped with him and John Kennedy accepting blame for the failed Bay of Pigs scheme to liberals denying anything that goes wrong on their watch had anything to do with them. Obama was sure as hell happy to claim he got bin-Laden speaking as if he donned tactical gear, night observation devices and shot the terrorist himself but there's no doubt if the op went south he would've blamed the military for everything.

Hillary and her cronies still blame fake news for her loss even though it was the most poorly run campaign in recent memory. Just as she blamed others for the email fiasco.

This would be another reason Trump won and an important lesson for those who wish to run. Act like an adult, take responsibility for your actions and move on. You keep your dignity and credibility intact that way.

The "Most Transparent Administration Ever" Is Pretty Opaque

Sphere: Related Content

Let's go into the way back machine and travel back to when Obama said this:
That, of course was an enormous lie but one that only right-leaning media called him out on. The mainstream media just nodded their heads like the good lapdogs they are even thought they should be the most concerned.

From Benghazi to Obama transcripts to the Osama bin-Laden raid and a zillion other instances, this administration has repeatedly stone walled everyone. It's taken numerous lawsuits by numerous sources to get anything released and then they violate the law by not releasing everything they should. FOIA requests are laughed at and important info is redacted.

Now we see another instance in which Honduran citizens were killed in a drug raid by the DEA:

WASHINGTON — Justice Department watchdogs ran into an unexpected roadblock last year when they began examining the role of federal drug agents in the fatal shootings of unarmed civilians during raids in Honduras.
The Drug Enforcement Administration balked at turning over emails from senior officials tied to the raids, according to the department’s inspector general. It took nearly a year of wrangling before the D.E.A. was willing to turn over all its records in a case that the inspector general said raised “serious questions” about agents’ use of deadly force.
The continuing Honduran inquiry is one of at least 20 investigations across the government that have been slowed, stymied or sometimes closed because of a long-simmering dispute between the Obama administration and its own watchdogs over the shrinking access of inspectors general to confidential records, according to records and interviews.
This is from the NY Times who finally is fighting back because A) They've done their job and helped Obama get two terms and B) Can now use this to say they are fair and balanced. Imagine if they had put the same amount of energy into investigating Obama back in 2008...

Aside from that, this is a huge issue for the nation. Without the accountability of our elected "leaders" we have no democracy. The only way we can have accountability is by knowing the facts. The only way we can learn the facts is if they are released to the public as the laws stipulate. Yes, I understand redacting sensitive information but using that tactic to cover up non-sensitive information that may be an issue is anti-American.

The Hillary e-mail scandal is a big deal exactly because of this. Government workers are required to use government computer networks because it makes them accountable. Hillary knew this and bypassed the system to hide information and then deleted 30,000 emails that she--not the American people--determined were not of any interest to the citizenry.

Here's the only question I have for those who defend Obama and Hillary on their breaking the law and hiding information from us: How would you feel if a President Trump or Cruz did the same exact thing?

Obama Admin Skewed Intel to Make ISIS Seem Less Potent

Sphere: Related Content

This is the latest in the series If Republicans Did This They'd Be In Jail.

I'm sure most of you recall that Democrats and the media (redundant, I know) were all over W. Bush after 9/11 for an ambiguous briefing about Osama bin-Laden and his plans to attack the US that was briefed to the former president just prior to the WTC attacks. HE KNEW! they screamed and were adamant that he was going to suffer for this catastrophic failure in intel gathering. They seemed extremely worked up that the president hadn't acted in time to stop the plot.

Fast forward to today and the administration of Obama. As of 2014, Obama missed half of his daily briefings, which are a rundown of events throughout the world and the potential effect on the US. They are easily the most important part of the presidents day...or were until now. Perhaps this is why he called ISIS the "jayvee team" not so long ago--but I digress. The PDB is critical in the decision making process for any president and Obama flat out ignored a large part of them.

Now we may know why; he was fudging the intel to make ISIS seem less aggressive and successful:

At issue is whether analysts at Central Command, which oversees U.S. Department of Defenseoperations in the Middle East, altered assessments of the campaign against ISIS to make it appear as though the United States and Western partners were making more progress than they really were, at least according to claims from a whistleblower assigned to Centcom. The inquiry, which started in September, has grown to include congressional investigations, including the House Intelligence and Armed Services committees. The chairmen of both committees are also forming a task force in the "near future" to investigate allegations of intelligence manipulation, aides with both panels confirmed.
As a vet and a guy with a bunch of ex-military and active duty friends, I find it extremely hard to believe that the military took it upon themselves to skew intel lowering the threat of ISIS. The military may sometimes indulge intel to make a threat seem greater so they can get more funding, training and weaponry. They never, ever would knowingly make the threat seem less than it is. That means they were forced to do so or are the scapegoats for Obama. I'm inclined to believe the latter but the former is possible because the senior leadership in the military is immensely more political than even 8 years ago. But no, I'm pretty sure it was Obama through Valerie Jarrett or his staff who tamped down the information that would make their boss look bad. If the intel showed massive gains by ISIS, Obama would have to act and he does not want to act. To act would mean he would have to make a decision and take action and the former "Senator Present" hates to make decisions that protect America.

This is not shocking nor is it surprising but it sure will be interesting to see just how this shakes out. Obama threw the military under the bus and other low level staffers but if there's any proof of it being someone higher up, the public will be out for a senior scalp. Unfortunately it will not be Obama since the bucks stops anywhere but on his desk.

The Arrogance of Obama

Sphere: Related Content

Humility. The dude has none and that is one of those character flaws that always sinks people.

Barack Obama actually believes his press clippings. Going back to his Hawaii daze and his Chicago days, he was showered with accolades and told just how smart he is. No one ever told him he was just a man with luck, an above-average intellect and some powerful second city backers.

Kind of like the kid who can throw a 70 MPH fastball at the age of 11. By 15 he's popping it at 87 and the everyone is still praising him. But then he hits 16 and the other kids can hit a fastball really far and he's brought back to earth and realizes he has to actually work at throwing a curve, change-up or slider.

Except Obama never was exposed to the kid who could pound the shit out of a ball. Obama never actually was stretched out intellectually during his debates and never had any vision guiding him to, I don't know, vote yes or no or write a bill that actually could get passed. Sure, he faced Hillary Clinton but in spite of what the media says, she's not all that bright either. I mean, think about it, after Juanita Brodderick, Gennifer Flowers and the endless others, she was still shocked that Slick Willy was getting a hummer behind his desk. Hell, any guy paying attention knew it just by looking at the smug bastard.

But Obama has never been challenged and you saw it on his face during the last debate. He thought himself the school yard bully and instead of beating the little Mormon kid, the little Mormon kid popped him right square in the mug, broke his nose and made him bleed on his tailored shirt.

But just like the bully, Obama would never admit he got an ass-whipping of epic proportions. The bully dances around and screams "lucky shot" or some other such bullshit while his friends stand gaping and everyone else snickers. And just like the bully, Obama will never, ever admit he lost or could have done something better to prepare because the bully, stud pitcher or so-called smartest man ever doesn't have to:

When President Barack Obama stepped off the stage in Denver last week the 60 million Americans watching the debate against Mitt Romney already knew it had been a disaster for him. But what nobody knew, until now, was that Obama believed he had actually won. In an extraordinary insight into the events leading up to the 90 minute showdown which changed the face of the election, a Democrat close to the Obama campaign today reveals that the President also did not take his debate preparation seriously, ignored the advice of senior aides and ignored one-liners that had been prepared to wound Romney.
I love that the arrogant SOB really believed he won. He probably still does and that's where I believe Romney can land some serious body-shots. Obama doesn't believe in practice, he will go through the motions just like the 15-year old fireballer does. Instead of getting down to business and learning his facts, he'll act like he's preparing.

You see, Obama has never been challenged and thinks he's smarter than all of us. But like i always tell my son, there's always somebody better out there. Someone is working their ass off and looking to take your starting position. Some people eventually get it and some end up second string. Let's hope this is the latter.

Obama Tries to Slow Romney Momentum

Sphere: Related Content

Coming off a very successful convention, the Romney campaign seems to be building a little momentum at just the right time. Both Gallup and Rasmussen have him leading and the stated goal of humanizing Mitt seems to have worked with overflow crowds turning up to hear him.

Now is not the time to get cocky, though. The DNC convention starts this week and while they have a aged and all around lame lineup when compared to the GOP, they will be going hard at Romney and Ryan and the media will play it up with even less apprehension then normal.

Nothing is more dangerous than a cornered animal and Romney has essentially boxed Obama into that corner. his people will be scratching and spitting because they will be out of jobs, scorned as the most-inept administration ever if The One loses. Expect the race card to be tossed every minute and expect the lies to continue unabated.

You will hear about Paul Ryan's "exaggerations" and Romney's dog. You will hear about the evil Bain Capital and the jobs supposedly lost. You will hear angry old liberals driveling on about the evil GOP and the god-like man they are there to renominate. What you will not hear is anything about the economy, jobs and/or Afghanistan or Gitmo.

It will be a freak show and the American people will tune out or be turned off by it. This is Obama's chance to energize his base and turn moderates to his side but in the end I believe the hate, race-baiting and vitriol will only succeed in turning people against the administration.

And by the way, you are a racist for even reading bad things about Obama.

Quoting Obama Verbatim Now a Racist Act

Sphere: Related Content

A flustered Obama campaign and their steno media hacks have been thrown on the defensive after Obama's "you didn't build that" line. And no, it wasn't a gaffe, it was Obama allowing us to see what he really thinks.

How worried is the campaign? Worried enough that they've spoken about it numerous times including an ad shot in the White House:

That ad follows two separate ones from his campaign attempting damage control. His campaign appearances are now about backpedaling and proclaiming his love for small business. And the Democratic National Committee produced its own panicked memo, which vowed to "turn the page" on Mr. Romney's "out of context . . . BS"—thereby acknowledging that Chicago has lost control of the message.
But the public just isn't buying the...BS that the DNC and Obamatons are selling and it's adversely affected him in the polls. So that leaves their only fallback as the race one and they get the vile Jonny Chait to bring it up:
Mitt Romney’s plan of blatantly lying about President Obama’s “you didn’t build that” speech is clearly drawing blood. But what makes the attack work so well is not so much the lie itself but the broader subtext of it. Watch Obama’s delivery in the snippet put together by this Republican ad[.] ... The key thing is that Obama is angry, and he’s talking not in his normal voice but in a “black dialect.”
This strikes at the core of Obama’s entire political identity: a soft-spoken, reasonable African-American with a Kansas accent. From the moment he stepped onto the national stage, Obama’s deepest political fear was being seen as a “traditional” black politician, one who was demanding redistribution from white America on behalf of his fellow African-Americans.
You got that? Chait hypothesizes that when Obama gets mad he switches to "black dialect" instead the nice, soft, calm black professor voice he normally uses when belittling discussing issues with us. You see, us white people are afraid of the angry black man and the GOP and Romney folks are playing on that to help their candidate.

Dude, there are dog whistles that seemingly only liberals can hear and then there is shit just made up out of the air. This would be the latter. Chait goes there because he knows that this was the real Obama coming out, not the carefully crafted populist they want the world to see. This is the Chicago, Bill Ayers-mentored Obama who despises capitalism and wants government bigger than any Democrat could ever have imagined.

Chait wants those who may have taken offense to Obama's attack on small business owners to feel ashamed because according to him they are being manipulated by the GOP tickling their in-bred racist instincts. Unfortunately for Chait and Obama, three and a half years of being called racist for questioning Obama on anything has toughened the skin of most Americans and silly innuendos of racism have little effect anymore.

Arab Spring Emboldens Islamic Terrorists

Sphere: Related Content

Obama and Hillary Clinton praised the Arab Spring where we saw Hosni Mubarak ousted and the Muslim Brotherhood rise to power. Add to that the US-led ousting of Qadaffi and the continued instigation of Iran and you have a toxic mix for the region not seen since 1973 when Egyptian leader Abdel-Gamal Nasser rallied the Islamic states to attack Israel as a united front.

Earlier this week, a Swedish-born, ex-Guantanamo detainee attacked Israeli's in Bulgaria and killed 7 of them on a sight-seeing tour. A man who was caught by our troops in Tora-Bora in the early stages of the War on Terror and sent to Gitmo was responsible.

Mehdi-Muhammad Ghezali was a man who was not poor and raised in a Palestinian slum. Instead he was a Swede who grew up with all the comforts a socialistic society could give him. Instead he went to Afghanistan to wage jihad and was sent to Gitmo for it. Unfortunately Swedish leftists fought for his release and even flew him back to the Nordic nation on their own government-owned jet.

Ghezali wasn't happy being just an average swede going to work and living a comfortable life. Instead he made the conscious decision to continue his jihad and the result was the death of more Israeli's who wished for nothing more than to enjoy the warm Bulgarian summer. Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu pinned the blame squarely on Iran.

So how does this fit with the new world order where an organization founded by arch-terrorist Ayman al-Zawahiri is considered a responsible part of the world community? The Muslim Brotherhood is Islamist to the bone and will open up Egypt to every terrorist group that has the money to bribe their way in. With huge swaths of desert to train in, Israeli's will never be safe and by extension, neither will the world.

The new Egyptian junta has already secured an audience with Obama ensuring their legitimacy while meeting with terrorist group Hamas and hailed a "new era" with the organization that has but one goal; the eradication of Israel and all it's citizens.

Add to this the potential exile of Bashar Assad and you will have a cauldron of Islamo-fascism not seen in decades. Radical Islamist's will be highly emboldened and can fight their war from behind safe borders where they will never be touched. America will not have the will or leadership under the current administration to take the battle to them and Obama will never risk alienating any leader. Said leaders will never allow themselves to be seen as an American puppet and will allow organized terror to thrive and export their power while maintaining plausible deniability.

We are in the midst of one of those periods that history will note as crucial to world stability. Pakistan, Iran, Libya, Egypt, Tunisia and Syria will unite. Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen and Afghanistan will have a hard slog maintaining neutrality as their radical elements will rise up and we could easily face a very determined Arab world with an initial goal of eliminating Israel and the ultimate goal of bringing the US to our knees.

Strong leadership is needed right now and to sit back and allow the poison seed of Islamic revolt to grow and bloom will ensure 50 years of bloodshed and war.

Obama's Attacks On Mitt Have Failed

Sphere: Related Content

It wasn't so long ago we heard that Obama was going to raise a billion dollars and use it to destroy whomever his opponent happened to be. These were the days when the media was still happily nestled in their cocoon and just knew that with their help and the greatest of Obama, a second term was a lock.

Fortunately for those of us who have actually been paying attention, Obama started falling back to the pack. Sure, compared to the slimy Gingrich or the kinda strange Santorum Obama seemed like a shoe-in.

But now that the GOP is settled and Obama has an actual challenger, the American people are taking a look and with a mix of "Mitt's not too bad" and "Damn, this economy still sucks" they have decided that Hope and Change (TM) is, in fact, not really for them.

Obama enjoyed a huge money advantage for the start of the campaign and to hear his sycophants in the media tell it; the dude was gonna keep right on a rollin.

Then an interesting thing happened, former big business Obama supporters decided that the guy they once supported was kind of a hypocrite. He took their money to the bank but when push came to shove he didn't have their back. Instead he went on rampages and made them the target and cause of every calamity he created.

So now, we have an interesting intersection of time and place.

Obama hammered Romney as the rich guy who was out of touch and labeled him everything from an "outsourcer" to a "job destroyer". That, thought the Obamaites was a good angle to hit Mitt from. The paid for ad after ad trying to bring him down and the media dutifully attacked him and his wife at every opportunity.

It didn't work:

For all the attention paid to the effectiveness of President Obama's Bain-themed attacks, it's remarkable how Obama has been stuck right around 47 percent for a very long time.  As the Washington Post's Chris Cillizzadocumented, the president's team has handily outspent Romney and his allied super PACs, pouring in $91 million into eight swing states in an early spending barrage intended to make Romney seem an unacceptable challenger.  But for all that effort, the numbers haven't moved much at all: The latest ABC News/Washington Post poll out today shows the race deadlocked at 47 percent. Yesterday's USA Today/Gallup swing state poll showed Obama statistically tied with Romney, the exact same result the survey showed one month ago.
Obama shot his load. He thought he'd come out swinging in the first round and pull a Sugar Ray Leonard or Mike Tyson and flatten Romney before he could defend himself. Instead, Romney absorbed the blows ala Rocky and stayed the course.  He jabbed and changed the flow slowly but surely.

And here we sit with four or so months to go and Romney is alive and ready to go the distance.

Why are they failing? They are failing because the economy is still in the shitter and unemployment is still over 8%. They failed because Obama is aloof and people don't connect like the media said they did. They've failed because they look at this career politician and don't see hope or change but reckless ambition wrapped in horrid ideology. They see him pandering to celebrities who they have can'y even comprehend having anything in common with.

Let's hope they still feel the same come November.

Man Who Won't Release Any Important Documents Calls For Rival to Release His

Sphere: Related Content

The hypocrisy is thick here:

The campaign released a new video that slams Romney for alleged reliance on tax havens, signaling a strong push to capitalize politically on a Vanity Fair magazine story about Romney’s holdings outside the U.S.
So the man who won't release any school transcripts, his SAT score, information on exactly how he managed to get to Harvard or Columbia or about when he spent an inordinate amount of time "choomin" and just about any other document that will give us insight into his youth is asking for Romney to release his records.

Romney's advocates have a nice talking point here; every time some Obama supporter mentions Romney's taxes, they should counter with "when is Obama going to release his grades from college" or something of the like. Romney need not get involved and the media will back Obama as always and ask him if it's something he supports asking these questions and he can stay above it all by saying simply they have a point but he wouldn't ask such a question...until he has to.

What Are All These Polls Telling Us?

Sphere: Related Content

November is a loooong way out and a zillion things can happen but I'm seeing a resemblance to 2010.

Let's start with the NYT/CBS poll that is an interesting sampling; they called back people they had talked to a month earlier to see what shift, if any, they could discern. A change did indeed occur and it wasn't good for Obama.

Romney picked up 3% of women while Obama lost 5%. So much for the alleged GOP war on women. He also picked up 4% in the moderate category and that's the group that will win it while Obama lost 5%.

Of course, the Obama people discredited the polls "biased", which is amusing considering it's the NY Times who is deep in the mud for Obama and CBS who is still pissed that the right destroyed Rather and the credibility of the network back during Rathergate.

Now today we see that a guy who was forced into a recall because he took on the unions in a deeply union state winning in a poll conducted for the uber-leftwing Daily Kos:

The latest poll by Daily Kos/Public Policy Polling shows Wisconsin governor Scott Walker leading Democratic challenger Tom Barrett 50% to 45% in the state's gubernatorial recall race. Those are theexact same numbers PPP found prior to the Democratic primary and the exact same results Rasmussen found when it polled the race last week immediately after the Democratic primary.
John McCormack nails it when he writes that the Democrats have all but abandoned this race. Why spend money on a campaign that was supposed to be a shoe in when the leader of your party is in serious straits?

These are just two polls among dozens but they do paint a picture of Romney fending off the Obama attacks, which is always easier for the challenger, especially when the incumbent has the record Obama does. Anything can happen as they say.

I leave you with yet another ad that shows Romney is not getting sucked into the daily sideshows Obama is trying to entangle him in:

Obama Gains Another Crucial Endorsement

Sphere: Related Content

We all know the NY Times, Washington post, LA Times and USA Today will endorse Obama. Today we found out the paper that all those media outlets sound like is giving their endorsement as well:

So, in an op-ed today posted on Pravda's website, the infamous former Soviet newspaper writes, "Electing Mitt Romney as the next President of the United States of America would be like appointing a serial paedophile as a kindergarten teacher, a rapist as a janitor at a girls' dormitory or a psychopath with a fixation on knives as a kitchen hand. His comments on Russia are a puerile attempt at making the grand stage and boy, did he blow it..."
Not that it will sway any voters who actually read Pravda because they are all commies who will vote for Obama anyway.

The Soviets are back, if not in name, in ideology with Putin's resumption of leadership. At least Obama won't have to bow while bending over for Mad Vlad since bowing is not a Russian custom.

Don't We Have More Pressing Issues Than Gay Marriage in Africa?

Sphere: Related Content

America is still--in spite of Obama--a beacon for the world. The American president's words still carry a certain amount of clout (which is why we all got worked up when he apologized and bowed to everyone we've ever slightly offended, but I digress). So why are we getting involved in sovereign issues in Liberia and other sub-Saharan African nations?

On January 19, three days after Clinton attended the second-term inauguration ceremony of Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, a winner of the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize, Sirleaf's press secretary announced that she would veto any legislation allowing gays to wed or legalizing homosexuality. In February, a Liberian lawmaker introduced legislation that would ban gay marriage. The bill, an amendment to existing legislation banning incestuous marriages and polygamy, would make gay marriage a first-degree felony, with prison sentences of up to ten years. Later in the month, another legislator introduced a bill that would make "same-sex sexual practices" a second-degree felony, carrying up to five years in prison. The bill would also make it a crime to "purposefully engage in acts that arouses or tend to arouse another person of the same gender (male/female) to have sexual intercourse." Both pieces of legislation are currently being reviewed in committee.

Two telling things here; first, that it was Hillary who spoke the words for Obama and second that the Liberian president went right out and vetoed the legislation. That's a woman saying you have only limited clout in Liberia Madam Secretary.

But more telling is that Obama says he is against gay marriage in the US and sends his proxy to lobby for gay marriage in a part of the world where it's frowned upon to the point that they actually are debating making gay sex a crime. Typical Obama response on an issue: for political reasons he's anti-gay marriage in the US but thinks he can tell others what to do.

If the anti-gay bias of another nation is so important, why not come down hard on the nation that is so anti-gay that homosexuals face being stoned to death and the leader of said nation actually uttered the words that there are no gays in his country? Why, because that would take balls and our president sorely lacks them.

Noted Thief of Black Music to Join Obama for Black History Month Celebration

Mick Jagger; who stole his entire persona from black bluesmen is joining Obama for the festivities:

WASHINGTON - Mick Jagger is going to the White House. He will be part of a celebration of the blues for Black History Month at the White House next Tuesday.

Jeff Beck, B.B. King, Buddy Guy and Keb Mo will also perform.

President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama will attend.

Now Mick was no Elvis is copying the music of noted delta bluesmen but he was a close second:

For the record, I'm a big Stone's fan and this is tongue in cheek but think about it.

My Top Ten Stories of the Year

Sphere: Related Content

It's been a weird year up here in the great state of New Jersey. In one week in in August we experienced an earthquake and a hurricane. Around the rest of the country and world it's been just as strange.

Here's my choices for stories of the year:

10. Occupy Protests End as Epic Fail: Despite having massive adoration from a slobbering media, free use of public parks and money from rich (1%) patrons, the occupiers ending up being exactly what we thought a bunch of liberal entitlement babies with no jobs, sense or idea what they were protesting would be. They trashed every park they took over, made life miserable for people adjacent them and generally showed us what a society led by them would look like. If you are for rape, murder, public masturbation and seeing some dude take a dump in front of you, these are your type of folks. I guess if the Tea Party groups were ruder, whiter and less hygienic they could have been Time Magazine's Person of the Year.

9. Japanese Tsunami: This event more than anything showed what a different world we now live in. A major earthquake followed by a lethal wave that obliterated a nuclear facility and released more radiation than we'll ever know would have been enormous in, say, 1983. In today's high-speed world it was only on the front pages for a week.

8. Steve Jobs Passes: Steve Jobs was a great American entrepreneur who created things we didn't even know we needed but couldn't live without. You know he was a great capitalist when the MSM started running stories slamming him within days of his death. The same media that didn't have the balls to say anything mean about him while he was alive joined with fellow liberals kicking the carcass with anecdotes about his lack of charitable giving and other bullshit. I'm proud to say I'm typing this on a new Mac so thanks Steve and rest in peace.

7. Tim Tebow Gives Liberals Conniptions: Quarterback Tim Tebow is a devout Christian man and wears his religion on his sleeve. That's enough to make the left go apeshit. Tebow is a great athlete but not the prototypical QB a la Marino or Favre. Normally, people would love Tebow but he made an innocuous anti-abortion commercial (see below) and gets down on one knee and prays after games so he's the worst thing to happen to the NFL since steroids in the liberal mind. The same liberal minds that would not be acting this way if, say, Tebow were a Muslim.

6. The Arab Spring Disintegrates into Hell: I recall being in England back when the Tahrir Square uprisings were the only thing anyone was covering. The BBC covered it non-stop as if it was just great that a stable regime was being toppled by citizens who were good and just. We soon found that was not exactly the case. Instead, Egypt has become what could be the most militant Islamic nation in the world. The Muslim Brotherhood (started by Zawahiri) has control and a more militant party will soon join them in a coalition. Christians are being persecuted and any peace agreements with Israel will soon be nullified. Success!

5. Obama Gives the Finger to Iranian Protestors: The current title for most theocratic and oppressive nation (with Saudi Arabia a very close second) is held by Iran. Stonings, murder of homosexuals and other atrocities are commonplace. So what does the president who espoused hope and change and freedom do when Iranian's try to fight back against the ruling Ayatollah's? He dithers and votes present just like he does with every other big decision that may cost him some votes. All the uprising needed was a few words from Obama transmitted across the border from either Afghanistan or Iraq pledging some kind of support and the regime and theocratic house of cards would have tumbled.

4. The Continued Attack on Iran's Nuke Program: Stuxtnet is a virus on steroids. Apparently it was introduced into the Iranian nuke program in 2010 and wreaked absolute havoc. Add to that the recent and unexplained explosions and mishaps happening throughout the Persian nation and one has to wonder who's to blame. Could it be the US, Israel, Saudi Arabia or a joint effort? We probably won't know for a while but it definitely has had an effect on their ambitious plutonium enrichment project.

3. The Coordinated Media War on Herman Cain: Anyone who has followed politics knows the backlash that black men and women suffer when they come out as conservatives. Generally it comes from other African-Americans so they can have some cover because you know blacks can't be racist toward other blacks. All that was thrown out the window with Herman Cain. They went after the former corporate CEO harder than any of the white candidates--and it wasn't just fellow blacks. No, they made it personal and reported any shred of rumor they could find that portrayed him as unfaithful and a serial adulterer. They played on what they perceived is a conservative idea that all black men are horn dogs banging anything they can because any good liberals know us on the right have racist, pre-conceived notions of blacks. In other words, they used the race card in a way that was not easy to detect unless you were paying attention. Stories about John Edwards were ignored for months until the National Enquirer broke them because the proof supposedly wasn't there. The same decency was not extended to Mr. Cain.

2. Obama Abandons One War and Starts Another: Obama pledged a great many things on the campaign trail in 2008. One was to get out of Iraq and W left him a stable situation that required a little finesse to allow us to exit with dignity while still keeping the peace. Instead, Obama blew and if to compound the issue he started a NATO bombing campaign against Libya that resulted in the death of Qaddafi and yet another unstable Islamic nation. Iraq will disintegrate into a civil war with Iran and Saudi Arabia using proxy armies to fight one another while Libya will ally with the Egyptian islamist's and offer refuge to every terrorist group that needs it.

1. Chris Christie Says "Thanks But No Thanks": In the year where we have several strong GOP governors doing what conservatives have always wanted: fighting unions, cutting spending and taxes and generally walking the walk we end up with the lamest slate of candidates we've had in decades. I mean really? Does anyone get the warm fuzzies thinking about trudging out to vote for Newt Gingrich? The guy is the finest example of inside the beltway politics I could show you and the dude is just plain sleazy. What about Romney? The guy signed into law what was later the framework for Obamacare and he makes me pine for the electric personality of Bob Dole to boot. Bachman? Seems like a nice woman and a capable politician but she's just not cutting it. Santorum? He's the only one that hasn't had the lead and for crying out loud let's hope he doesn't. Ron Paul? I've been battling the Paulistinians for years and they kept telling me their guy was not really racist and definitely not an anti-Semite. Er, the evidence is mounting that they weren't exactly correct. So the man who could have destroyed Obama in debate after debate while joking the entire way opted out. Chris Christie could have been our next president but either felt he owed New Jersey something or just didn't want the scrutiny that a bid would entail. His wife and kids would be picked apart and we'd hear endless stories of his weight and health. Imagine: Christie/Rubio 2012. Oh well, one can always hold out hope for a brokered convention.

Obama in a battle of Wits With Walker Unarmed

Sphere: Related Content

The Obama administration's not ready for prime time act got old a long time ago but it does make for some fun moments at his expense.

Obama had this to say today:

"I don't think it does anybody any good when public employees are denigrated or vilified or their rights are infringed upon,"
Governor Walker had this rebuttal:

“I'm sure the President knows that most federal employees do not have collective bargaining for wages and benefits while our plan allows it for base pay. And I'm sure the President knows that the average federal worker pays twice as much for health insurance as what we are asking for in Wisconsin. At least I would hope he knows these facts.

“Furthermore, I’m sure the President knows that we have repeatedly praised the more than 300,000 government workers who come to work every day in Wisconsin.
“I’m sure that President Obama simply misunderstands the issues in Wisconsin, and isn’t acting like the union bosses in saying one thing and doing another.”
Game, set and match to the Badger governor.

Is Obama actually still so politically infantile that he allows himself to be set up like this or is he just surrounded by a bunch of idiots? I'm guessing both. Maybe he received some internal polling that said it would be a winning issue for him to back the money-grubbing unions or maybe he just lost a bet to the vile Richard Trumka while knockin back a few during their frequent meetings and had to go out and involve himself in internal Wisconsin issues because he's the light-bringer or something.

Whatever the case, he's getting schooled by a first-term Midwestern governor at every turn.

Obama Trying to Act Like an Alpha Male

Sphere: Related Content

It's kind of depressing when a decidedly beta male tries to be a leader. He's pretty much surrounded himself with yes men and like-minded folks who are in way over their collective heads and now when the Democratic party needs a Reagan they instead get a whiner who channels his inner Jimi Hendrix (a definite alpha male BTW):

"Some powerful interests who had been dominating the agenda in Washington for a very long time and they're not always happy with me. They talk about me like a dog. That's not in my prepared remarks, but it's true," he told a crowd largely consisting of union members.

Poor baby, these "powerful interests" talk bad about you. How fucking pathetic. We need a man who says here's what I've done and here's how I thought it would work but it didn't and we'll stop at nothing to get people back to work. Instead, we get a guy complaining that he's not treated with the reverence he thinks he's earned when in fact he's earned nothing.

Perhaps he missed the briefing where 22 service members were killed in Afghanistan last week and the total amount killed in that country during Obama's administration now exceeds those killed during the 7+ years Bush was CinC. As an aside, Code Pink has been exposed as the partisan shills they've always been known to be. It was all about power and ideology with these socialist hags and never about our troops. But I digress.

So here's where we are: we have an impotent president who's nothing more than a stuffed shirt academic in the midst of the worst economy we've seen in decades. I fear for the next two years.

Obama: I Won Iraq War Even Though I Opposed Winning Strategy

Sphere: Related Content

Our new FDR will tell us tonight how he cunningly won the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people with subliminal signals to the Sunni's to "awaken" and that GWB had absolutely nothing to do with it. Update: he mentioned Bush.

This is farce on a grand scale; Obama (and Reid and Pelosi and...) was adamant about his opposition to The Surge when it was up for debate. He had zero trust in our president and, more importantly, zero trust in our troops to win. Obama was against the war from the beginning yet is going to stand up and take credit for the win like the reporter in Major League who was pissing all over the Indians and by the end of the season was wearing an Indian headdress.

Here's a nice recap of what his position really was:

How farcical is this? Obama's spokesparrot wishes he called in sick today as he was destroyed by a FoxNews anchor who ate his lunch and then kicked his ass all over the studio while Gibbs' used his usual pretzel logic trying to spin it. I guess he gets props for going on Fox but gets a big demerit for getting his booty smacked by a person much better prepared. Dude, you're the spokesman for the President of the United States for crying out loud.

Sarah Palin turns the knife a bit as well.

The Pro Athlete Syndrome Writ Large

Sphere: Related Content

Many pro athletes tend to have a really hard time adjusting to the fame and money they thought would be the thing they desired most. Their whole lives they were told how great they were, how much they mean to the town or city, how awesome their very existence is. They hear this for years and when they make it to the pro level and live what they thought was their dream they end up dysfunctional, mal-adjusted and just plain seem to be assholes because dammit, they are great...everybody said so.

That's pretty much where we currently find Obama:

To be blunt, Obama suffers from a lifetime of others excessively praising his intellect. It insulates him from ideas and facts that conflict with his pre-existing liberal rubric (so “every economist” believed his stimulus would work). It leaves him unprepared to engage in real debate with informed opponents (e.g. the health-care summit).
The MSM and the intelligentsia made Obama out to be this utter genius (and got called on it embarrassingly) and he bought in because he was always told that. Reality is a bitch.

The Chris Christie Locomotive Continues to Roll

Christie for president?

Republican NJ Gov. Chris Christie , who has taken controversial steps since taking office, has a higher approval rating than Pres. Obama in New Jersey, according to a new poll released Thursday.

Just more than half - 51% - approve of Christie's performance as governor while 36% disapprove in the Quinnipiac poll. Obama has a 47% approval rating in the survey and the same percentage disapprove of the president's performance.

"New Jerseyans are getting used to their new Gov., Christopher Christie, as his job approval breaks the 50 percent mark," said Maurice Carroll , director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. "But familiarity hasn't helped him much with Democrats. A lot of voters still think Christie is a bully, but the victories he chalked up in the legislature earn him good marks for leadership."

Christie performs even better among independents. 61% of independents approve of Christie's performance, 29% disapprove. For Obama, 41% of independents approve and 53% disapprove.
Christie has done a remarkable job of framing the issues he and the state are dealing with. You have unions that got sweetheart deals from McGreevey and Corzine and have forced dramatic increases in property taxes. Mine currently stand at greater than $10,000 yearly and will go to $1,000 a month next year. Christie struck a chord and people in this deep blue state are starting to see that he's the real deal. 61% of Independents like him and this state--especially down south where I live, which is only semi-filled with heathens unlike the north--is largely full of Indies. These numbers are incredible as the unions laid on a full-scale carpet bombing impugning him daily in every media and he came out giving them the finger and going after them even harder.

Some are taking him to task for not commenting on the Ground Zero mosque issue but why should he? He's governor of New Jersey, not New York. Granted, many from the Garden State died in the 9/11 attacks but he should just stay out. Were he a confirmed presidential candidate, he'd have to speak up but he's not...at least at this point. Hopefully that changes.

Obama's Really Bad Week

Sphere: Related Content

It happens with all presidents eventually but usually not in so stunning a fashion.

President Obama got hit with a barrage of bad news this week, some of his own making. Let's review, shall we?

Henry Louis Gates Jr., historian and Director of the W. E. B. Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research at Harvard University was locked out of his house so he did what most of us would do, he tried to get in by pushing on the door or other means. Unfortunately for him, a neighbor called police suspecting a break-in. Police arrived and did what police are supposed to do, ask questions to try to assert the facts. Professor Gates got belligerent and was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct, the charges were dropped.

Now had this been a simple case of a mistaken arrest, it would have been written up in the back pages of the local papers but Gates is a friend of Obama. During Obama's press conference earlier in the week, he was asked about the issue and said:

"I don’t know – not having been there and not seeing all the facts – what role race played in that, but I think it’s fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry; number two that he Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home,"
Prefacing it by saying he didn't have the facts and then judging that the police acted "stupidly" showed Obama reverting back to his community organizer days where every thing that happens in a neighborhood is the fault of the police. They are always wrong until proven right and even then they are blamed.

Unfortunately for Obama, most Americans either know cops, have one in their family or have generally good feelings toward them. Add to that the cop in question has a sterling record including teaching a course on racial profiling. Add to that that his colleagues, peers and bosses all supported him without question and you have a full-blown case of racial politics writ large that engulfed the administrations message on health care that the presser was supposed to address. The alleged post-racial world is not so much as this issued showed quite with crystal clarity.

Obama also saw his approval drop under 50% this week for the first time. His mealy-mouthed words on the stimulus and the economy have come back to haunt him as people are hurting and not seeing the fruits of Obama's spending.

Finally, we have Afghanistan. The war against the Taliban and al-Qaeda is ratcheting up and more troops have been injured or killed of late. Obama hasn't said word one about the ongoing war, a war he owns after using it to pummel Bush for going to Iraq. He's not said good, bad or indifferent. He's said absolutely nothing of consequence and by doing so has pushed our men and women in uniform to the back burner. An egregious action by a sitting president.
