I know it's bullshit and you know it's bullshit because the NY Times says this every single time they end up looking like complete idiots. The Times tries to tell people that they missed out on what was happening in America but then say they feel they were fair. No they were not and that is what makes them irrelevant. Where they were once the main purveyor of what you were fed by the networks when it comes to news, people now are turning to alternate sources. The NY Observer, Drudge, Breitbart and others are reporting what the Times (and Washington Post) does not and once people realized they didn't have to rely on the MSM they decided they would ignore them.

The Death of the Mainstream Media
Sphere: Related ContentHere we sit a day after a political earthquake shook the United States of America. Looking back at how this election season played out it struck me that there were some winners and losers. Not the obvious ones like Hillary but others like the establishment Republicans like National Review, Charles Krauthammer, George Will, etc. There will be a flurry of ass kissing in the next few weeks.
There were winners as well such as Sean Hannity (who was over the top but was fair to all GOP candidates), Breitbart (especially Milo), Drudge who proved to be a king maker and others.
But let's look at the real losers and see just how far they have fallen:
The Mainstream Media:
Never in history has the media actively worked directly with a candidate to the best of my knowledge. The media actively worked to get Hillary elected as shown by Wikileaks. Here's some examples:
CNN:
The so-called Clinton News Network lived down to their name. From the outset they were on the Hillary train and weren't going to stop their relentless pursuit of getting her elected. During the primaries, insurgent socialist Bernie Sanders won the hearts and minds of many young people and the far left wing of the Democratic party. He went from being a joke to being a direct threat to the anointed one. Hillary cultivated them through the years with invites to events and exclusive interviews so she had her allies set to counter anything. The penultimate moment was when Donna Brazile, member of the DNC and CNN contributor gave questions to Hillary she was to be asked at a debate. That was exposed through Wikileaks. When Wikileaks eventually exposed the DNC for colluding to beat Hillary and the evidence came out just prior to the convention, they buried the story or worse yet, when forced to report it said it was the Russians or that they were fraudulent. They helped to disenfranchise a large group of people who entered the political world for the first time.
During the general election they were anti-Trump all the time. From Anderson Cooper fact checking Trump in the debate to the myriad stories they aired about how bad Trump was. It didn't have to be true or even plausible, they ran with it. Dana Bash and Wolf Blitzer were biased every night but the real let down was Jake Tapper. He was exposed as a liberal hack and that was disappointing.
Fox News:
Megyn Kelly and Shepherd Smith destroyed themselves repeatedly. Yes, Kelly is still the new face of FNC but Hannity grabbed the ratings. Her spat with Trump was ridiculous but she was bitter about it. Her face when it was clear he was going to win was epic. She was exposed as not just a lightweight but a not very bright lightweight.
FNC hurt the brand with Republicans like me who liked the channel. They went from being fair and balanced to be unfair and unbalanced (news wise and mentally). Yes, Bret Baier distinguished himself and showed what a true pro he is as did Chris Wallace. But in the aggregate, Fox News hurt themselves.
Politico and the Others:
Glenn Thrush is the lead politics guy at Politico. He's worshipped by the DC elites and liberals. He was also exposed by Wikileaks submitting stories for review by Hillary personnel. He actually called himself a "hack" and urged Podesta not to tell anyone. We soon found out there were others doing the same thing.
The overall media took their talking points from the Hillary campaign. Whatever Hillary's people said, they printed--sometimes verbatim as you'd see the exact same line in tweets and articles. If you're going to be a flack the Clinton's at least be semi-original.
The media refused to do there jobs and investigate Clinton. The Wikileaks emails were served to them on a platter but nothing was reported by them. Instead it was sites like Zero Hedge who methodically went through each email. They refused to even bring up Benghazi or investigate the story fully. A sitting ambassador died and Hillary blamed it on a video, which led to a man being wrongly imprisoned. They gave her a pass.
This election was one that should force the media as a whole to do some deep introspection. They will not of course instead blaming it on Wikileaks or some other such bullshit. They will not blame themselves and will wonder why the media is hated more than the Zika Virus.
Hollywood:
Star after star shilled for Hillary. From has-beens like Cher to worn out old hags like Madonna who offered a blow job to those who voted for Hillary (and because of it probably lost Clinton the race), the actors came out and supported her. From vulgar ads to ridiculous commercials. They had zero effect on the race. When Hillary has Jay-Z and Beyonce and gets 10,000 while Trump alone draws double that, you knew that the celebrity effect would be nil. Hell, Michael Moore made a documentary slamming Trump that was released two weeks before the election and the only thing heard about was his saying why Trump is liked.
Numerous stars said they would leave America if Trump were elected thinking that would make people vote for Hillary. They voted for Trump just to call their bluff. My favorite was Miley Cyrus whining about Trump and his "grab her by the pussy" comment while there's pictures all over the place of her doing extremely vulgar things. Sorry Hannah Montana, it didn't play even a little.
Springsteen played free shows for Hillary and it had no effect. In fact, many people looked at Springsteen as a complete hypocrite who sings about the blue collar man but then supports the woman who has hurt the blue collar folks the most.
Some in Hollywood had the balls to take a stand such as the South Park guys and Michael Bay who made 13 Hours.
But overall, Hollywood was pummeled in this election. From the cackling harpies on The View to Ellen Degeneres, we saw the absolute worst hackery.
So is this the end of the MSM? Doubtful but I do believe they will have to do some should searching and take a good long look in the mirror. But don't worry, that introspection will be over soon and they'll be back to their old ways starting January 20, 2017.

GOP Ups Its Game This Cycle
Sphere: Related ContentIn the 2008 election cycle, the Democrats had rapid responses to everything the GOP did. The presidential election in particular showed just how well their strategy worked. In conjunction with the MSM, the DNC and other organizations destroyed Republicans. Just think how they marginalized Sarah Palin ("I can see Russia from my house") and destroyed her as a viable candidate. The GOP couldn't respond fast enough and get many points to stick.
But this cycle, I'm seeing a concerted effort to keep the conversation right where it should be; on Obama's record and the state of the economy.
While the MSM goes on about Romney strapping his dogs' carrier to the roof of his car, Jim Treacher reads his book and posts that Obama ate dog so now let's get back to talking about jobs and the economy. The WaPo puts out a hit piece saying Romney allegedly bullied a kid 50 years ago in high school and blogs counter immediately with Obama's many youthful indiscretions.
The latest example is this new ad:
It took less than one day for the RNC to get this clip out. That's rapid reaction and highly effective.
The right-leaning traditional media in a synchronized effort with new media is on their game and highly motivated this time around and could be the ace in the hole for Romney.
Exit question: Is there anyone who has kept the Dems on the defensive more than Tucker Carlson's Daily Caller and in particular the aforementioned Treacher?

Allen West Sets MSM Straight on Marine Incident
Sphere: Related ContentThe video of a few Marines pissing on dead Taliban has got the media in full Abu Ghraib mode. Any story that makes the military look bad is, in the eyes of our media betters, a story that deserves to be reported continuously.
“I have sat back and assessed the incident with the video of our Marines urinating on Taliban corpses. I do not recall any self-righteous indignation when our Delta snipers Shugart and Gordon had their bodies dragged through Mogadishu. Neither do I recall media outrage and condemnation of our Blackwater security contractors being killed, their bodies burned, and hung from a bridge in Fallujah.Amen to that, sir.
“All these over-emotional pundits and armchair quarterbacks need to chill. Does anyone remember the two Soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division who were beheaded and gutted in Iraq?
“The Marines were wrong. Give them a maximum punishment under field grade level Article 15 (non-judicial punishment), place a General Officer level letter of reprimand in their personnel file, and have them in full dress uniform stand before their Battalion, each personally apologize to God, Country, and Corps videotaped and conclude by singing the full US Marine Corps Hymn without a teleprompter.
“As for everyone else, unless you have been shot at by the Taliban, shut your mouth, war is hell.”
For those who wish to know how bad fighting is in the war in Afghanistan, watch Sebastian Junger's documentary Restrepo and you'll get an idea of just why Rep. West is exactly right in his assessment.

Pinch Sulzberger: The Ultimate One Percenter
Sphere: Related ContentTo be clear, us on the right enjoy the schadenfreude of the NY Times staffers suffering.
The letter calls attention to several grievances. Last week, Times brass notified foreign citizens employed in the paper's overseas bureaus that their pensions would be frozen. In the letter, Times staffers dismayed by this decision point out to Sulzberger that some of these foreign employees, working alongside Times reporters in war zones, have "risked their lives so that we can do our jobs."
The open letter may have been prompted by this and other recent decisions, but it brought to the surface long-simmering tensions. In the past several years, staffers have faced temporary pay cuts, layoffs, and buyouts. They have worked since March without a new contract. Regarding ongoing negotiations, the letter notes that Sulzberger's "negotiators have demanded a freeze of our pension plan and an end to our independent health insurance." O'Meara said staffers did not receive a raise this year.
Hmmm, Sudden freezing of pensions, no raises, not negotiating with unions...sounds suspiciously like something the Times would write a scathing piece on if it were a corporation doing the same thing. Shall we continue?
The letter also mentions that a member of "senior management" is now leaving with "a very generous severance and retirement package, including full pension benefits." Indeed, outgoing CEO Janet Robinson -- the unnamed executive-- will reportedly take home a $15 million exit package, according to Reuters. Times staffers with stock options have seen the share price drop from over $35 at the beginning of Robinson's tenure in 2003 to less than $8 at opening on Tuesday
Wow, a woman helped run the company into the ground and still landed softly thanks to her "golden parachute" at the expense of the--dare I say it--99%? $15-million is definitely in 1% territory I'm guessing.
Yet, nothing will come of this because liberals are, well, liberals. This from the beginning of the article:
New York Times staffers unhappy with management are letting publisher Arthur Sulzberger Jr. know it. In recent days, more than 270 current and former Times employees have signed an open letter expressing their "profound dismay" with recent company decisions.
Bill O'Meara, president of the New York Newspaper Guild, said some staffers had considered even "more dramatic" actions.
What dramatic actions could they undertake? You know none of the staffers will sleep in a park or protest on Pinch's lawn so what options were available? They could have not made a pot of coffee after taking the last cup or not laughed at a classic Pinch joke. Or they could have followed the UN and Obama's lead and wrote another Strongly Worded Letter showing their utter disgust.
No, they almost staged a protest and stormed Pinch's office and, and, and...do nothing. Instead they almost opted to (gasp) walk out:
"There were people who wanted to storm Arthur Sulzberger's office," O'Meara told The Huffington Post. "There were people who wanted to stage a walkout."
For now, Times staffers opted for the letter, which was composed in the newsroom and posted online by the guild at saveourtimes.com. Since last week, hundreds of current staffers -- from metro reporters to foreign correspondents, arts critics to web producers -- and several Times alumni have continued adding their names.
Yeah, nothing says I'm mad as hell and not going to take it like posting a letter on an obscure website and having people add their names.
Thank God our freedom doesn't depend on these pussies.

If Ezra Klein is a Leader on the Left, We Should Have No Problems Rescinding Obamacare
Sphere: Related ContentEzra Klein is a hard-core lefty first and foremost. He's supposedly the wonkish, young, intellectual liberals can believe in. He's smarter then everyone else by their collective reckoning for no other reason than he rebuts everything conservatives have to say with inane commentary and hazy "facts". Plus, he writes at a major MSM outlet and constantly appears on MSNBC so he's got to be a genius.
They talk about this clown like they talk about Obama being the smartest guy in the room when in reality he's not even the smartest guy in the Op/Ed section of the Washington Post.
Klein is the new liberal who, along with Matt Yglesias and Kos who pump out semi-intelligent screeds on a daily basis that get linked by other, lesser known liberals, which ensures whatever they write is at the top of Memeorandum. He's linked a whole lot so he must be an intellectual dynamo, right? A battalion of unemployed liberals living off the public dole break out their crayons and parrot him to the point that regardless of the veracity of any given Klein post, it become "progressive" fact within an hour.
But put these guys on TV where they actually have to present well-thought out ideas without the benefit of Google or as the awesome Iowahawk says; Wikipedia, they sound like exactly what they are: amateurish ideologues with access to the airwaves provided by a "news" organization that is watched by 10 or 20 people at any given minute.
Listen to Klein lay down some mean, intellectual thinking here:
It's hard to understand the Constitution of the United States because it was written over 100-years ago in language that's difficult to grasp by the great unwashed masses who voted Bush in twice. Got that?
The Communist Manifesto was written more than a hundred years ago by Engels and Marx but I'll be willing to bet that Klein understands that language very well.

The Pro Athlete Syndrome Writ Large
Sphere: Related ContentMany pro athletes tend to have a really hard time adjusting to the fame and money they thought would be the thing they desired most. Their whole lives they were told how great they were, how much they mean to the town or city, how awesome their very existence is. They hear this for years and when they make it to the pro level and live what they thought was their dream they end up dysfunctional, mal-adjusted and just plain seem to be assholes because dammit, they are great...everybody said so.
That's pretty much where we currently find Obama:
To be blunt, Obama suffers from a lifetime of others excessively praising his intellect. It insulates him from ideas and facts that conflict with his pre-existing liberal rubric (so “every economist” believed his stimulus would work). It leaves him unprepared to engage in real debate with informed opponents (e.g. the health-care summit). The MSM and the intelligentsia made Obama out to be this utter genius (and got called on it embarrassingly) and he bought in because he was always told that. Reality is a bitch.

Climate Change Debunked Everywhere But Newsweek
Sphere: Related ContentNewsweek magazine was forced to retract a 1975 article in which they did a whole issue on global cooling and the world havoc that would result from it. This from a magazine that published a false story about flushing a Koran down a toilet that led directly to deaths.
With the rest of the world seeing clearly that global warming "science" is widely skewed and realizing that they've spent billions of dollars that could have been better spent on helping their own citizens, Newsweek remains firmly in the global warming cocoon.
Walter Mead explains, in-depth, how the last gasps of the global warming swindle remain but largely how the myth has been debunked so easily and quickly. It's been a tough few months for our green brothers and sisters as it's finally dawned on them that they've been had. They bought into a cult that was designed for nothing more than enriching people like Al Gore and redistributing money from wealthy nations to poor ones.
But not Newsweek. No, when presented with facts that show the "science" was a scam, they hold their collective hands over their ears and utter passages from An Inconvenient Truth really loudly. They are bitter and are taking out their ire on one man who was a loud sceptic from the beginning. In what can only be labeled a rant from a whiny teenager, Sharon Begley goes off on Lomborg without facts, reason or thinking that could even be considered rational.
This is the last gasp of a dying religion and one can only be thankful that it will be relegated to the dustbin of history with other false pseudo-religions like communism and Nazism.
Exit question: Does Begley look exactly like the smug, rebuked global warming supporter you thought?

Reuters Bows to Obama
Sphere: Related ContentReuters has always leaned to the left and at times sounded more like Pravda or TASS than the Soviet organizations themselves did. Today, they've solidified their hold on the title of News Agency That Kisses Obama's Ass The Most. Congrats on the win, boys:
Obama administration aides appealed to the Reuters White House reporting team to kill a story by another reporter of the news service that suggested the president's new budget blueprint included "backdoor" tax hikes.Note how the media has failed to correct many of these stories about conservatives allegedly doing something but immediately pulled an article when asked by the liberal president.
A White House official told TPMDC the Reuters story was "falsely stating that the President's budget raises taxes for middle class families, when in fact the opposite is true."
The official said when the administration saw the story, published yesterday afternoon, they contacted one of the Reuters White House correspondents.
Newspapers were meant to keep politicians in check but that ethos has all but been lost on the MSM with the exception of Fox News, the Wall Street Journal and the NY Post. The Founding Fathers must be rolling in their graves.

Air America Shuttering is Latest Example That Liberalism Doesn't Sell
Sphere: Related ContentIt was only a matter of time but the the frail entity that was Air America has been euthanized and put out its (and our) misery:
It is with the greatest regret, on behalf of our Board, that we must announce that Air America Media is ceasing its live programming operations as of this afternoon, and that the Company will file soon under Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code to carry out an orderly winding-down of the business.Er, millions? Try tens. If they had millions listening they'd still be on the air. Add to that the fact that the discussion was not the least bit "compelling". They bashed Bush, bashed Palin and bashed conservatives in general and did it without intelligence or a sense of humor. Americans will listen to partisan talk as shown by Rush and Hannity but they will not listen to mean-spirited talk, especially if it's not funny.
The very difficult economic environment has had a significant impact on Air America’s business. This past year has seen a “perfect storm” in the media industry generally. National and local advertising revenues have fallen drastically, causing many media companies nationwide to fold or seek bankruptcy protection. From large to small, recent bankruptcies like Citadel Broadcasting and closures like that of the industry’s long-time trade publication Radio and Records have signaled that these are very difficult and rapidly changing times…
When Air America Radio launched in April, 2004 with already-known personalities like Al Franken and then-unknown future stars like Rachel Maddow, it was the only full-time progressive voice in the mainstream broadcast media world. At a critical time in our nation’s history — when dissent on issues such as the Iraq war were often denounced as “un-American” — Air America and its talented team helped millions of Americans remember the importance of compelling discussion about the most pivotal events and decisions of our generation.
Liberalism doesn't sell real well unless it's hidden such as we see on NBC, CBS and ABC. When it's overt--such as the case with MSNBC and CNN--it fails miserably. We are a center-right nation and hour after hour of listening to pro-abortion, big government talk is grating at best. You can only spew so many Palin is stupid, Bush is a chimp, Cheney is the devil rants before people say enough.
The problem is that Air America had no substance and the talk was far from intelligent. The vile drunk Randi Rhodes proved that you can go too far but going to far without actually eliciting chuckles is a death blow. Imus goes too far daily but he's funny about it.
Can we now put to rest the liberal canard that Rush is only the most-popular because he's subsidized by rich righties? Air Scamerica had large infusions of money and still resorted to ripping off kids...and hiring cheap hookers.
Adios Air America and don't let the door hit ya in the ass. I'm enjoying the schadenfreude of them being relegated to the dustbin of history.
Hat tip: Hot Air.

Layers of Editors and Fact-checking
Sphere: Related ContentThe Philadelphia Inquirer made this little mistake in yesterdays print edition:
The Inquirer yesterday erred in publishing a photograph that accompanied a story on Judge Paul W. Tressler of Montgomery County Court. The photograph was not of the judge, shown at left, but of Howard Nevison, a sex offender sentenced by Tressler in 2006. The Inquirer regrets the error and apologizes.D'oh!
But unlike blogs such as this, they have layers of editors to ensure that only factual stories are put in the esteemed, non-biased fishwrap. The same fish wrap that ran a 21-day endorsement of John Kerry in 2004.
Note that this correction was on the front page.

The Global Warming Swindle Unravels Quickly
Sphere: Related ContentA must read in the Telegraph (UK):
The reason why even the Guardian's George Monbiot has expressed total shock and dismay at the picture revealed by the documents is that their authors are not just any old bunch of academics. Their importance cannot be overestimated, What we are looking at here is the small group of scientists who have for years been more influential in driving the worldwide alarm over global warming than any others, not least through the role they play at the heart of the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).This is essentially Enron times one hundred. They cooked the books to ensure that more money--your money and mine--was spent on ever more carbon-reducing activities and studies. They built an industry of which Al Gore became the American face whereby they manipulated data to meet their own ends. It's a fraud of epic proportions and one that would make Bernie Madoff salute for the sheer audacity.
Professor Philip Jones, the CRU's director, is in charge of the two key sets of data used by the IPCC to draw up its reports. Through its link to the Hadley Centre, part of the UK Met Office, which selects most of the IPCC's key scientific contributors, his global temperature record is the most important of the four sets of temperature data on which the IPCC and governments rely – not least for their predictions that the world will warm to catastrophic levels unless trillions of dollars are spent to avert it.
The more that comes out, the more the whole house of cards will teeter and eventually fall. At that time, many Americans will wonder what happened while the rest of the world laughs as the world's media is reporting every single breaking detail while American media is ignoring it with every fiber of their being (Fox News excepted).
I've been writing this blog for seven years and have linked story after story that questioned the validity of the data. I've been a sceptic because the science never added up. Now we who knew the scam was on are vindicated and those who perpetrated the con will be shown the scumbags we knew them to be.
I pray that Cap and Trade comes to the floor of the House and Senate so this will be out in the open. I picture Sen. Inhofe jamming it straight down Sen. Boxer's throat live on C-SPAN.
Please take the time to read the entire piece.
Update: Forgot to link to this. All the important data was "lost" during a move to new facilities. A convenient way to keep those who would review the veracity of the data from ever getting a chance to see it. The scandal widens daily but you'll have to read the UK press, blogs or Aussie media to know anything about it.

The Anti-Palin Media Has Only Made Her Stronger
Sphere: Related ContentThe onslaught of anti-Palin pieces has been awesome to behold. never has this much ink been spilled on one person with the sole aim to discredit someone with the possible exception of Bush heading toward the 2004 election.
The end result for the scumbag media horde? Try 300,000 books sold on the first day, dickheads. How about Oprah earning the highest ratings in two years for Palin's appearance or even this Fox poll that shows her approval rate soaring.
People in general like Palin; her good looks, normal life with the requisite ups and downs and her calm demeanor but strong personality appeals to many. The left hates her because she is an accomplished woman of the right who is against abortion (even when told her unborn child would be a Down Syndrome child) and believes in God and country. Hell, she even has a son in the military in a combat zone...how blue collar.
Suck it losers, she's getting a fat payday and you morons in the MSM have helped her beautifully. Thanks.

The First Election Cycle During Obamanation
Sphere: Related ContentThe first election cycle after we became a post-racial nation, which is loved by the entire world is set to take place in a month. How will the GOP do being as they've been handle a gift of epic proportions. The Dems gave us Obama and he's tanked in ways we couldn't have dreamed, faster than anyone thought possible. Will the GOP do what they always do and blow every single political opportunity afforded them or take the ball and break the plane?
The first glimpse we'll have into whether Nobama can lead his party forward or over a cliff is about to play out in the bluest of blue states--my home state of New Jersey:
Corzine's chances of winning re-election now are no better than they were a month ago. The governor continues to be stuck between 38 percent and 42 percent in the ballot test, where he has been for many months, and the fundamentals of the race continue to favor the Republican challenger. The media want you to believe Corzine's got a shot because it is of great significance and a loss by Corzine--whom The One has campaigned pretty hard for--would show that the presidents coattails are pretty short indeed. If a buffoon like Christie who would never have a shot in any other year can win, all bets are off for 2010.
Corzine was at 39 percent among likely voters in the newest Quinnipiac survey, not much different from his 37 percent showing at the end of August, his 40 percent showing in early August or his 38 percent showing in mid-July.
The most recent Quinnipiac poll showed Christie leading Corzine by 4 points because the Republican's vote has slipped from 46 percent or 47 percent in other Quinnipiac surveys to 43 percent. In turn, Independent candidate Chris Daggett's number in the ballot test has risen to 12 percent in the most recent Quinnipiac poll, up from the 7 percent to 9 percent he had been drawing in other recent Quinnipiac surveys.
Update: We're seeing it in Pennsylvania as well where Pat Toomey is making a move past the zombie Arlen Specter.

Monday Night News and Notes
Sphere: Related Content
My son's team took third in the USSSA World Series. They played ten games with ten kids and flat ran out of pitching. Good job boys.
Here's what's happening in the world:
-The blood on Walter Cronkite's hands.
-The noose is tightening on Rep. Murtha. Pelosi will continue to back him until it's no longer politically expedient and then she'll pull an Obama and throw his old ass under the bus.
-So much for stimulus and TARP transparency.
-Obama is stammering on the $100-million in budget cuts he promised. I'm shocked, shocked I tell you.
-Jimmy Carter cozies up to Muslims who perform clitorectomies and forced marriages involving teenagers but he just can't abide those women-hatin' Baptist's.

Friday Morning News & Notes
Sphere: Related ContentTGIF
-Ari Fleischer ups the ante and says he'd be more than willing to testify on water boarding. I'm starting to really hope the Dems chase the "torture" issue and they do get Cheney and others on the stand. The American people will get the real facts and the House and Senate will look more inane than ever.
-Remember when W called himself The Decided and was always so sure of himself? Remember that people got on his case because he wasn't nuanced enough and was always so sure in his position? He was ridiculed. Obama makes Bush seem wishy-washy by comparison.
-ABC outs the men who developed the water boarding strategy. Our intelligence-gathering capabilities take another hit thanks to the media.
-Gates says it's too late on Iran and nukes regardless of what we do. Thank you IAEA and the UN for protecting the world.
-The media have greatly over-hyped the swine flu. I'm not surprised but it has caused almost as much panic as the photo op last week in NYC by Obama's plane.
-Pakistani singer murdered in honor killing in Taliban-controlled region.

Bias? What Bias?
Sphere: Related ContentI know it's fish in a barrel easy picking out bias but do they have to be so blatant about it?
When Katie Couric gets an award for a run-of-the-mill interview it's just further proof that the media is in a death spiral. Wow, she got Palin to make an inane coment on what papers she reads, Couric's a genius.
It's up to us to ensure that the media is forced to report on the April 15th tea parties that will take place all over the country. The only way to beat bias is to present facts and the only way to get the facts out is to band together in enough numbers to force their collective hand.

Obama Leaves Twenty Bucks on Nightstand for Media; Promises to Call
Sphere: Related ContentThe MSM did everything in their collective power to shield Obama and win him the election. He wined and dined them and made them feel all good all over (and in one case sent a thrill up Chris Matthews' leg). He promised them they were the only one and if they would just be on his side he would take care of them forever. They agreed and forgot what their job was including investigating the Rev. Wright, Ayers and Rezko stories and instead lobbed hit piece after hit piece against John McCain and Sarah Palin.
Well now he's won and has pretty much ditched them, hasn't called, cleaned out their bank accounts and took off with a hotter, younger chick:
This achievement and the overall promise of his historic administration caused the National Newspaper Publishers Assn. to name him "Newsmaker of the Year."We told you, MSM, but you said he loved you. We said that he was no good for you and you ignored us. We mentioned that he was using you and would make tracks once he exhausted what he could take from you and you rolled your eyes and said we didn't know him like you know him.
The president is to receive the award from the federation of black community newspapers in a White House ceremony this afternoon.
The Obama White House has closed the press award ceremony to the press.
From the president's official schedule:
"Later in the afternoon, the President and the First Lady will attend a reception with the National Newspaper Publisher Association in the State Dining Room, where they will be presented the Newsmaker of the Year award. This event is closed press."
I hate to say I told you so but I told you so. But don't worry, he'll be knocking at your door come 2011 with roses begging you to take him back you will because you're a sucker.
How's it feel now, MSM?

The Sad State of the US Media
Sphere: Related ContentThe liberal media in the US is still in the throes of Obamania and it looks as though it won't end soon although we've seen some come to heir senses.
Here we have two examples. Firts we have Hardball where Chris Matthews is owned by Ari Fleischer. Second, we have Andrea Mitchell actually apologizing to Barney Frank for reporting on Obama nominee's tax problems. My goodness, the media reporting that the nominee for Treasury Secretary didn't pay taxes when he will run the IRS is a reason to plead guilty.
Oy.
It's going to be a long four years, folks.
