Thursday Night News & Notes

Here's what's new in this crazy old world:

-American's seem pretty much cool with the new Arizona illegal immigrant law. As a further added bonus, read about Michelle Malkin not being white.

-Marriage-destroying loser talks to Oprah and no one really cares.

-Obama's rhetoric against lobbyist was just like everything else: a big joke.

-While we move far left, Britain goes right.

-Playing the Puerto Rico card.

Reason #5,609,203 to Scrap the UN

Sphere: Related Content

Like we need another reason. Be it the way they allow the despots of the world to run roughshod over human rights, the rapes of women they were sent to protect or the vile way they attack Israel at every opportunity, the UN has proven to be nothing more than a gathering of elites who care less about human rights every day and more about a free trip on the dime of the taxpayers back home to NYC.

Now we have what may be the most egregious act perpetrated by the gaggle of thugs and kleptocrats in that ugly building near the Mid-Town Tunnel:

Without fanfare, the United Nations this week elected Iran to its Commission on the Status of Women, handing a four-year seat on the influential human rights body to a theocratic state in which stoning is enshrined in law and lashings are required for women judged "immodest."
Perhaps they could ask Soraya M about the treatment of women in Iran...but she was stoned to death under a false charge of adultery so she's not currently available.

Perhaps we can ask Neda...But alas she was shot by the Ayatollah's henchmen while attending a rally protesting the stolen election.

What's next, appointing Iran and Gambia to the UN Council on Gay Rights? Probably not because as anyone who's been paying attention knows, Iran has no homosexuals according to Ahmadinejad.

The UN is nothing more than a place for human rights-denying regime's to make themselves look legitimate and the elites who run the upscale whorehouse--using huge amounts of US taxpayer money--slide deeper into the cesspool while leftists tell us what a great concept it is. Sorry, it's a refuge for the scummiest juntas and dictators and we should disband it, withdrawal or deports all those who do nothing more than take up parking spaces from hard-working New Yorkers.

Roy Halladay got shelled, the Nats and Mets are playing good ball and we have Hamels going tonight. Not a great time for the Phillies.

In other news:

-A hell of a good question asked by Will Collier. Imagine the outrage if it had been liberals savagely beaten after attending a Barack Obama event?

-Contessa Brewer, like all the talking heads at MSNBC, is a complete and utter moron. "The (Arizona) law makes it a crime to be an illegal immigrant", about all you need to know.

-Us bloggers aren't real journalist's like those writing for the NY Times.

-Democrats are living in a fantasy land if they think they will get a bounce in polls from Obamacare.

Reason #345,707 the Inquirer is Failing Miserably

Sphere: Related Content

It's a funny thing about liberals; they seem to think that the reason people don't like their opinions or ideology is simply because they don't know enough about it.If they disagree with a particular policy initiative, just explain it over and over again. If they still don't get it, they are ether too stupid to grasp it or are just loser right-wingers.

With that in mind, let's look at the Currents section of today's Inquirer. Everyone reads the Sunday paper and one would think they would have something in the opinion section for everyone. One would be wrong. Considering that the paper's owners have been in bankruptcy, they should have taken a different approach, one that has been shown to work with papers like the Wall Street Journal that always makes a profit.

Here's what we have today in the major Philly broadsheet:

-Uber-liberal and Obama sycophant Cynthia Tucker blaming Wall St. for everything without once mentioning Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac or the Democrats policies that led to the failures.

-A piece on the power of Gaia and her will to do us harm with all the volcanoes and such. At least they didn't pull a CNN and blame earthquakes and volcanoes on global warming.
-Carlos Dews telling us that any policy disagreements we have with Obama are purely because he's black and we're racist. This was front page of the section with a nice drawing of a burning cross on the Whitehouse front lawn in case we were to ignorant to get the gist of his words.

-And finally, our old buddy, the vile Tony Auth. He drew this ridiculous cartoon that is wrong on every single level:

Get it? We're supposed to be bummed that things are looking better for the country and it will hurt us come November. The fact that the bailout loans were paid back with funds that were from the bailout pot seems to have escaped Mr. Auth. It was the equivalent of taking money out of one pocket and putting it into the other and saying you paid something off. Also, the only auto company in the US that is turning a profit is the one that didn't take a government handout.

Home sales did indeed increase by 27%. The truth is that there was only one way to go and that was up because we hit bottom. The percentage increase still leaves us far, far below the 2005 highs. Add to that the fact that the government is pumping money into the system just as they did with the Cash for Clunkers deal so the increase is not steady but is likely people trying to get some "free" money before the program ends. These are people who probably would have waited so expect next months numbers to go down.

As for the stock market, of course the market rebounded and it did so in site of Obama, not because of him. Lately, they got a return on the investment they made in him by getting a bill on the floor that effectively encourages them to take risks with our money because it effectively codifies Too Big to Fail. If they fail, Obama's slush fund will bail them out. AIG, GM and the others should been allowed to topple as the business world needs an ocassional enema. Obama allowed them to live on.

Funny that Auth did this cartoon when he never did one when libs were cheering every death in Iraq, every bad economic report and generally cheering anything bad for the country. Auth could have drawn the same thing with a donkey sitting in a chair and the up arrows labeled SURGE WORKS, HOUSING SALES AT HIGHEST LEVELS EVER, STOCKS HIT RECORD LEVELS & BUSH POLICIES SAVE MILLION OF AID-STRICKEN AFRICANS. But he's a liberal hack so he just invents good news now instead. I guess he couldn't find anything anti-Semitic or racist to draw today.

Comedy Central: Channel of Pussies

Sphere: Related Content

As I've mentioned myriad times, South Park pushes the envelope in ways TV has never seen. Comedy Central has mostly had Trey Parker and Matt Stone's backs when faced with withering criticism. Those days are over as they've acted like good dhimmi's as directed by the Koran:

Comedy Central bleeped out all references to the Prophet Muhammad in Wednesday night's episode of the animated show "South Park."

The episode was a continuation of last week's episode which depicted the Prophet Muhammad in a bear suit.

A radical Muslim website threatened the show's creators following that episode.

Comedy Central confirmed to FoxNews.com that it had censored the show, and that the episode was not available on its website.

In addition to bleeping the words "Prophet Muhammad," the show also covered the character with a large block labeled "Censored."
Read the whole article as they went so far as to bleep the ending, which was a conversation between Stan, Jesus Christ and Santa Claus discussing intimidation an fear. The irony is so thick you need to brush it away from your face to paraphrase James Earl Jones in Field of Dreams.

Hot Air has much more as does the pithy Glenn Reynolds.

Update: The beautiful and brave Aayan Hirsi-Ali makes her feelings known as eloquently as ever on Anderson Cooper's show:

How Liberals Outsmarted Themselves in New Jersey

Sphere: Related Content

There are some things that make me feel warm and fuzzy when they occur. This would be one of them.

The Council on Affordable Housing (COAH) was instituted by Jon Corzine in 2008 to forcibly integrate affluent communities. It was paid for by a tax levied on "non-residential" builders and required communities to approve new housing as a percentage that would be made available for to those who couldn't afford the high housing costs in the state. They made it sound really swell when it was passed and promised a zillion things it wouldn't do. The fact that it was regressive and would dissuade builders from constructing commercial tax rateables never occurred to them (as if it ever does but I digress).

Communities fought it and lost. The most notable was the town next to mine.

So, instead of accepting the states mandate to integrate, towns played by the letter of the law and instead of building low-income housing, they built 55 and over communities that offered cheap senior housing. It met the statute and attempts to make communities cooperate led nowhere. It was a win-win for communities as they filled housing with taxpayers but didn't overburden schools.

Let me explain how the school budgets work in New Jersey: some funds come from the state after they receive funding from the federal government. But the bulk comes from residents who vote every spring on the school budget. We had that election yesterday and it went down in flames in a majority of towns and counties. It was a bitter battle to say the least.

Anyway, here's where the liberals in this state outsmarted themselves and got bitten square on the ass by a law they imposed upon us.

Senior housing was built and they moved in in droves. But every year, the budget came up for a vote and these folks of fixed incomes and limited means were left with a simple choice; do I vote to raise my taxes for schools that I have no kids attending? More likely than not the answer was no. Anyone who pays attention to voting trends knows that the elderly vote and they do so religiously. In my town it was about 2,700 against and 2,200 for. I'm assuming that the majority of the 2.7K were the seniors who moved into the afordable housing Corzine envisioned as being occupied by low income folks.

Now we all know that liberals are wont to write bills and not foresee the consequences. The Obamacare bill is just the latest example. They had no clue that municipalities would find a way to ensure that they were not burdened with the zombie entitlements from years past such as providing meals and others that have been a continual drain on school budgets. They were simply outsmarted by part-time mayors and housewife councilpersons.

Add to the mix the simple fact that people don't have the means anymore to vote themselves higher taxes and you have the recipe for Chris Christie victory and a teachers' union defeat.

As with all liberal policies; the best intentions will always come back and kick one square in the package. We saw that yesterday when New Jersey said enough.

Exit question: Can a fat governor from a deep blue state beat Obama? Christie in 2012?

Tuesday Evening News & Notes

Sphere: Related Content

Some quick hits to tide you over:

-The Obama administration has received ten times more money from Goldman-Sachs than Bush did from Enron. Blanche Lincoln's writing the bill and, despite the appearance of impropriety, will not return the money she received from the evil corporation.

-So much for that whole "most transparent administration ever" thing. These guys make the Bush administration look downright open with regard to secrecy.

-Douchebag Alan Grayson says something stupid once again. This dude makes Biden look cerebral.

-It's on: Rupert Murdoch about to kick Pinch Sulzberger's ass even more. I can't wait until the Times coup happens and old Pinch is kicked to the curb.

-Someone looks at a liberal funny and it's cause for screaming about threats, etc. Someone actually attacks and hits a conservative woman and the media is silent. What bias?

I Hope Gov. Christie Has Good Police Protection

Sphere: Related Content

The rhetoric is heating up to proportions not seen in this state since I've been paying attention and save for a decade in California, that's 25-years:

HADDONFIELD, N.J. — They're the kind of obscenity-laced schoolyard taunts that could get a student suspended.

But the target of this tirade is New Jersey's Gov. Chris Christie — and the perpetrators are the state's teachers, irate over his calls for salary freezes and funding cuts for schools.

In Facebook messages visible to the world — not to mention their students — the teachers have called Christie fat, compared him to a genocidal dictator and wished he was dead. The postings are often riddled with bad grammar and misspellings.

"Never trust a fat f...," read one profane post on the Facebook page, "New Jersey Teachers United Against Governor Chris Christie's Pay Freeze," which has some 69,000 fans, many of them teachers.

"How do you spell A-- hole? C-H-R-I-S C-H-R-I-S-T-I-E," read another.

The rhetoric has become ever more heated as residents of most of the state's school districts get ready to vote Tuesday on property tax levies that support district budgets. And while many of the postings are emotional, most aren't personal attacks.
Yeah, just like the made up attacks are described as not "personal" by the AP, right?
If the Tea Partiers were on record saying anything close to this, the media would be screaming worse than they are and Bill Clinton would maybe have a point. But they aren't and the largely Democratic teachers--the ones who teach my children mind you--are saying things like this.

This is incitement plain and simple; incitement to violence that will lead to someone trying to harm the governor. The man is doing all he can to save a state that has been raped fiscally and run into the ground by McGreevey and Corzine in ways that would make Pelosi and Obama stand gaping in awe.

New Jersey teachers have gotten everything they've wanted from state government that fears them. Now they face a man who will not back down and will not bend over for them as the others have (no pun intended with regard to McGreevey).

Here's a taste of the venom these people are spewing.

As an aside; I live in this state and pay $10,000 a year in property taxes. I need some relief from that and these people want more, more, more. Sorry, I don't have it and neither do most other people. The teachers unions are spreading lie after lie in the hopes that people will buy it. Some will but most--especially us who are taxed to death--will not.

God help us if the local budgets get shot down today.

Monday Night News & Notes

Sphere: Related Content

Happy Monday...alright, Mondays blow for the most part but it could be worse, we could have four years left of Obamanomics instead of three.

Anyway, here's what's news:

-The Iranians displayed new air defense weapons supplied by our buddy Putin. They didn't seem to work so well for Syria. That whole negotiation without preconditions is working out real well, isn't it?

-Chris Christie has stirred up a serious hornets nest in taking on the entrenched teachers unions in New Jersey. The schools are pushing hard to get people out to vote and have threatened every thing from doubling up classes to cutting sports programs. How about cutting some of the fat from administrations. School taxes come partially from property taxes and partially from state taxes for the record.

-Tom Tancredo is a blithering idiot.

-Nancy pelosi saidwe wouldn't know what was in the healthcare bill until we voted on it. I tink she was a bit shocked to realize that Congress and their staffs will get fined millions under the law. Obamacare is off to a roaring start.

-Obama subpoenaed over Hassan's Fort Hood shooting.

-I've felt the Earth move while getting busy but this is ridiculous.

The Left Becomes More Unhinged

Sphere: Related Content

I didn't think it was possible after witnessing a Bush assassination wet dream put to film, the outright racist attacks on Condi Rice and the myriad other vile attacks that had they been made against a Democrat would have been on every front page in America. No my friends, the left is even more unhinged than ever before and this time they are losing, which incenses them more.

Sarah Palin has been the prime target along with Rush and Glenn Beck of late but they really have been saving their venom for the Tea Party movement. Slick Willy came out on the 15th anniversary of Timothy McVeigh's attack on the Murrah Building to urge the country to heed the anger exhibited by the tea partiers. To top that, the scummy Joe Klein said that Palin and Beck are "right up close to being seditious" for doing what they all claimed was patriotic when Bush was in office: dissenting. There will be no dissent in Obamanation and his media henchmen will ensure that they do their McCarthian best to slander anyone who does. Besides, based on the definition of sedition, wouldn't Obama's bestest buddy Bill Ayers have fit the definition to a tee?

These idiots were thinking they were clever calling Bush a nazi and painting swastikas all over posters of Bush and Cheney and now they are accusing two American citizens--not elected folks--of a crime that carries a penalty of death. For a few more examples of just how unhinged the left is, go here if you can stomach it (pic above taken from Zombie's site).

But hey, we have all of these evil "teabaggers" threatening to kill congresswomen and stuff so...er, the guy making the threat was a Democrat and the congresswoman was a Republican? That kind of goes against the paradigm. In the immortal words of Emily Litella: Never mind.

Sunday Morning News & Notes

Sphere: Related Content

It's been nearly a month since I posted but I'm recharged for the stretch to November and the beginning of the GOP renaissance and subsequent dismantling of Obamacare and Obamanomics...and every other fiscally irresponsible BS they enact.

Here's what's new:

-In what is yet another example of the amateur approach the Obama administration has toward world affairs; they lack a plan for dealing with a nuclear Iran--even though it's been an issue for 7-years.

-The battle is on. Regressive Keynesian economic policies versus those championed by Friedman capitalists and the I suspect that the last theory standing will be the one currently being installed by my governor Chris Christie.

-Obama's anti-Israel rhetoric may well make anti-Semitism cool again. While Bill Clinton continues to prattle on about possible violence from us rabid, anti-government right wing "teabaggers", the Jew haters are increasing and Bubba can't bring himself to say word one.

-Nothing is more dangerous than a cornered and wounded animal. The global warming movement has been shown to be a sham and the money is probably starting to dry up as people realize they've been duped by patchouli-wearing greens. They now are in full threat mode to protect their collective interests.

-Giving whole new meaning to the phrase "That girl was a fox". Only in liberal Seattle. Sick bastard.

-Can Lindsey Graham please just pull and Arlen Specter and go to the other side already?

Trey Parker and Matt Stone Targeted for Offending Muslims

Sphere: Related Content

Seriously? Anyone who has watched fifteen seconds of South Park knows that Parker and Stone thrive on offending people. No one is safe from Kyle, Cartman, Butters, Stan and once upon a time; Kenny (before that unfortunate evening at TGIFridays).

Here's the gist; Parker and Stone wrote an episode whereby Mohammed has a serious superpower:

What is Muhammad's super power? No one can criticize him.

Something celebrities would die -- or kill -- for.

But they weren't making fun of Muhammad. They were making fun of Muslims like Zach who are the only group of religious zealots who threaten violence every time they are offended.

Which makes this whole thing perfectly ironic.
Here's a snippet (backward for some reason) and the entire episode can be watched here:

Some idiot "artist" puts a picture of Jesus in a jar of piss and no death threats or fatwas are issued. Stone and Parker show Bhudda snorting coke in the episode above and know that Bhuddist's aren't going to run amok and behead people.

The greatest right we as people have is the right to freedom of speech and expression. Stone and Parker have taken that to an extreme but they must be supported or we will end up with laws like those in Canada and Britain that restrict that right under penalty of law.

As an aside; there's a reason people like I are called South Park Republicans; we abhor any restriction on free speech and freedom of thought. While South Park pushes the envelope in every episode, I support their ability to do so. Plus, the show is just frickin hilarious.

Obama's Sham Nuke Summit

Sphere: Related Content

The much-hyped nuclear summit crafted by the Obama administration and hailed as the most significant event since Christ walked on water or Moses descended with the Ten Commandments ended up being exactly what everything in the regime has been--farce wrapped in propaganda wrapped in the shiny veneer of "smart diplomacy.

In other words, it was nothing but a chance to get a few photo ops that will be used to their full effect when it comes to claiming Obama has serious foreign affairs street cred.

Mark Steyn dissects the summit, which amounted to nothing more than a circle jerk that produced nothing of substance and left the most-pressing problem with regard to nukes off the table:

In years to come – assuming, for the purposes of argument, there are any years to come – scholars will look back at President Barack Obama's Nuclear Security Summit and marvel. For once, the cheap comparisons with 1930s appeasement barely suffice: To be sure, in 1933, the great powers were meeting in Geneva and holding utopian arms-control talks even as Hitler was taking office in Berlin. But it's difficult to imagine Neville Chamberlain in 1938 hosting a conference on the dangers of rearmament, and inviting America, France, Brazil, Liberia and Thailand ...but not even mentioning Germany.

Yet that's what Obama just did: He held a nuclear gabfest in 2010, the biggest meeting of world leaders on American soil since the founding of the United Nations 65 years ago – and Iran wasn't on the agenda.
Look at Obama greeting these international leaders, he's so smart and looks great. Look at The One bow to his banker and enabler the Chinese. Look at him stick his finger in the face of the Prime Minister of our long-time rival and show that right-winger what's what (but be careful not to offend those who wish us the worse). It was a ridiculous event that amounted to nothing. No approach to North Korea and it's elfish despot, no words spoken about the mad mullahs and their butt boy Ahmadinejad who seek to de-stabilize a region crucial to US and international commerce. We accomplished exactly nothing of consequence but don't fret, the Obama-protecting media dutifully wrote essay after essay espousing the brilliance of The One (even though Obama used them like $5 whores and then dumped them on the curb when he was done).

Here we sit, mired in a recession deepened by Obamanomics. The electorate is incensed and Obama decided to try to dominate the news cycle with an international fashion show that was long on style but woefully short on substance.

Work has been busy and in Obamanation anyone with a paying gig should be happy. Plus, I'm doin my part to help pay for the monstrosity that Obama calls his budget. Since only about 50% of us pay taxes, I have to do my part to placate those whose asses the rest of us are carrying.

Never Underestimate the GOP's Ability to Snatch Defeat From the Jaws of Victory

Sphere: Related Content

I sure hope this is just your normal MSM BS:

Republicans aren't ruling out raising taxes or any other option for dealing with the country's debt problem as they head into the White House fiscal commission's first meeting.

"Everything is on the table," said Sen. Tom Coburn (Okla.), one of six GOP lawmakers on the commission, when asked by The Hill whether he'd block any recommendation to raise taxes.

"I will sit down with anybody at anytime to discuss anything to see if there is any common ground to prevent the fiscal insanity this nation has engaged in today," said Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas), another commission member.
Uh, no Senator Coburn, tax hikes are not on the table. Spending cuts should be the only thing "on the table" starting with the huge increase in government hiring and continuing on to the NEA, Department of Agriculture, anyone working on global warming/cap and trade and this idiot Obama is hiring to sell the American people something they vehemently oppose.

Here we sit with a major opportunity to decimate the Dem advantage and Coburn passes on the chance to say an emphatic no when asked about tax hikes.

Expect to see the GOP destroyed rather quickly if they agree to so much as a single penny of increases. Obama got us into this fiscal morass and he's going to have to get us out. Let the Dems tax the hell out of the middle class and we'll send them into political Siberia for a decade while we dismantle Obamacare and get the country back to its roots of capitalism and profit. Plus we can work on that concept of American exceptionalism that Obama has managed to stomp on at every opportunity.
