So I'm listening to The Five on the way home. I like the show, it's funny and they selected different personalities that mix well for the most part. Plus, Kimbery Guilfoyle, Dana Perrino and Andrea Tantaros are all hot so that's a bonus.
Anyway, today Bob Beckel breaks out his inner idiot and say something akin to Romney went to Israel for a fundraiser with "diamond merchants". Right-wing Twitterati are up in arms and want Beckel's head on a platter.
Listen y'all, lighten up. The premise of the show is humor and light-heartedness. Is what Beckel said offensive? To some it probably is. But we on the right have to roll with the punches and not act so damn offended at everything. Liberals have no sense of humor, we do. Beckel is a blowhard, I get that and the guy says outrageous shit on a regular basis but that's just his shtick. He a rude, old, alcoholic, jock who is the liberal punching bag on the show.
I'm a "South Park Republican", which means I find everything funny. that show has something to offend everyone, every second. That's why it remains the best show on TV. Unlike Family Guy, which has a liberal slant, South Park eviscerates everyone equally. You know how liberals comedians just can't bring themselves to bust on Obama? I find that offensive. Just as I would find it offensive if someone didn't bust on Michael Moore, Dick Cheney or Colin Powell.
Yea, Beckel is a moron and his responses are generally not thought out and inane to boot but let's stop all the talk of firing him and other such nonsense. Sometimes we all sound like pussy liberals who see racism, misogyny and gay-bashing in everything. PC-ism is bullshit in my opinion and we all need to learn to laugh at ourselves, each other and everything else because life is too damn short to freak out over every word muttered that makes you uncomfortable. If you wanna be that way, become a Democrat.

Comedy Central: Channel of Pussies
Sphere: Related ContentAs I've mentioned myriad times, South Park pushes the envelope in ways TV has never seen. Comedy Central has mostly had Trey Parker and Matt Stone's backs when faced with withering criticism. Those days are over as they've acted like good dhimmi's as directed by the Koran:
Comedy Central bleeped out all references to the Prophet Muhammad in Wednesday night's episode of the animated show "South Park."Read the whole article as they went so far as to bleep the ending, which was a conversation between Stan, Jesus Christ and Santa Claus discussing intimidation an fear. The irony is so thick you need to brush it away from your face to paraphrase James Earl Jones in Field of Dreams.
The episode was a continuation of last week's episode which depicted the Prophet Muhammad in a bear suit.
A radical Muslim website threatened the show's creators following that episode.
Comedy Central confirmed to FoxNews.com that it had censored the show, and that the episode was not available on its website.
In addition to bleeping the words "Prophet Muhammad," the show also covered the character with a large block labeled "Censored."
Hot Air has much more as does the pithy Glenn Reynolds.
Update: The beautiful and brave Aayan Hirsi-Ali makes her feelings known as eloquently as ever on Anderson Cooper's show:

Trey Parker and Matt Stone Targeted for Offending Muslims
Sphere: Related ContentSeriously? Anyone who has watched fifteen seconds of South Park knows that Parker and Stone thrive on offending people. No one is safe from Kyle, Cartman, Butters, Stan and once upon a time; Kenny (before that unfortunate evening at TGIFridays).
Here's the gist; Parker and Stone wrote an episode whereby Mohammed has a serious superpower:
What is Muhammad's super power? No one can criticize him. Here's a snippet (backward for some reason) and the entire episode can be watched here:
Something celebrities would die -- or kill -- for.
But they weren't making fun of Muhammad. They were making fun of Muslims like Zach who are the only group of religious zealots who threaten violence every time they are offended.
Which makes this whole thing perfectly ironic.
Some idiot "artist" puts a picture of Jesus in a jar of piss and no death threats or fatwas are issued. Stone and Parker show Bhudda snorting coke in the episode above and know that Bhuddist's aren't going to run amok and behead people.
The greatest right we as people have is the right to freedom of speech and expression. Stone and Parker have taken that to an extreme but they must be supported or we will end up with laws like those in Canada and Britain that restrict that right under penalty of law.
As an aside; there's a reason people like I are called South Park Republicans; we abhor any restriction on free speech and freedom of thought. While South Park pushes the envelope in every episode, I support their ability to do so. Plus, the show is just frickin hilarious.

Saturday Morning News & Notes
Sphere: Related Content
Off to Pace, Florida for the USSSA Baseball World Series with my boy. Exciting times for a 13-year old.
Here's what's new.
-Comparing the cowboy code to the left code. I'll take the cowboy code every single time.
-The Russians aren't too happy about the South Park portrayal of Vlad Putin. Lighten up, Vladimir.
-NY Times writer David Brooks says a GOP senator had "his hand on my inner thigh" during a "whole" dinner party. Er, David, why would you let him leave it there unless of course you liked it, which would make the question moot.
-We are if desperate of another Reagan while the Brits could surely use another Thatcher. Unfortunately, on the US side of the pond we are in short supply of Conservatives save Rick Perry and Sarah Palin.
-DHS sneaking toward open borders. Amnesty and decreased regulatory authority are on the way.
-Obama set to give the "rich" a good soaking. Socialism lives in the US.
-Government Motors making life miserable for private, non-government-owned entities. The administration is seeking to destroy all industry in one way or another.
-Update: It seems as though I'm sensing more buyers remorse than previously. Kilroy seems to be experiencing it but more importantly, he joins the numerous Obama supporters who are realizing the stimulus was a bad idea the way it was constructed.

Saddam Was Shown South Park Movie Allegedly
Sphere: Related Content
According to the creators of South Park, Saddam Hussein was forced to watch South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut repeatedly:
During his captivity, US marines forced Saddam, who was executed in 2006, to repeatedly watch the move South Park: Bigger, Longer And Uncut, which shows him as gay, as well as the boyfriend of Satan. He was also regularly depicted in a similar manner during the TV series. Now that is awesome.
...Stone, 37, said both he and Parker, 39, were most proud of the signed Saddam photo, given to them by the US Army's 4th Infantry Division.
He said: "We're very proud of our signed Saddam picture and what it means. Its one of our biggest highlights.
"I have it on pretty good information from the marines on detail in Iraq that they showed Saddam the movie.
Here's the Saddam/Satan scene from the movie. I warn you that the content is rough.

Random South Park Episode
Sphere: Related Content
In one of the episodes that can only be classified as wrong, PETA protests the cow mascot at the school and the boys force a vote on the new mascot being a large douche or a turd sandwich. Democracy lives.
Line of the show: when they originally have to choose between "redskins", "indians" or some other and the teacher says they are OK because "PETA doesn't care about people".
Stan gets banished as well for not voting.
