Why Do the Democrats Hate Women?

Sphere: Related Content

It's a weird phenomenon of late but the Democrats have become downright misogynistic. Every woman who is runing for office or nominated instantly comes under major scrutiny and general scorn.

At first I thought they were just hypocrites because they attacked only Republicans like Condi Rice, Katherine Harris and any other woman who threatened their ideology or power.

But then I watched what they did to Hillary Clinton. Hillary was the can't-miss candidate and they backed her unquestionably. Partly because she still carried enough clout to neuter them politically but also because she was their ticket to power that had been lost. Remember, it was a little over a year ago that the entire party was fawning over her.

Enter Barack Obama. As soon as it became clear that BHO had any shot at winning the nomination, they dumped Hillary like a blind date who revealed she had herpes. Not only did they drop her, they belittled her and even went so far as playing the race card.

I won't even go into the sexism they displayed with Sarah Palin as that's been well documented.

Now we see how they treated Caroline Kennedy. Granted, she would have been a horrible selection but the way they eviscerated her was even worse than what Republicans could have dreamed of.

That brings us to the woman who was selected by Gov. David Paterson--Kirsten Gillibrand. As soon as Gillibrand was announced, they pounced on her like a kitten on a ball of yarn. Here's a taste:

“Nobody really likes her,” sniped one New York City-area member, speaking on condition of anonymity.

“She's smart and capable, but she's rubbed people the wrong the way,” said another.
That's not just political, that's personal. They hate her, her politics and everything else about her. But mostly, they hate her because she's a woman.

Ask yourself; why would they be so against an attractive, capable legislator? I asked myself that when Palin was running but I digress.

I ask again, why does the Democrat Party hate women?

The Budding of a Political Star

Sphere: Related Content

In the months since Sarah Palin was selected as John McCain's running mate, we've seen her go from one who was very comfortable making a speech and wowed the country when addressing them from the GOP convention but not as sharp with the minutiae of daily politics in interviews to someone who seems very comfortable in her role.

Of late, Palin is the only one talking with the press it seems and on the stump is constantly hammering the Obama/Palin cabal into submission. She jumps on every misstep and slams them the next day with a smile and a twinkle in her eye.

In doing so, she has managed to become the savior of the GOP and the most hated Republican by liberals since George W. Bush actually still mattered. Check out this:

She's as good at speaking with an audience as Bill Clinton in his prime and absolutely blows Obama away when connecting. She leaves Biden and McCain in the dust and has cemented herself as the GOP standard bearer going into 2012.

How ironic it is that the woman to watch in modern politics is a mother from Alaska who was written off as a joke just months ago. Imagine how good she'll be when she actually has time to grasp every nuance of foreign and domestic policy. Obama versus Palin in 2012 is looking like a brutal affair and the future of the GOP has been turned on its head in a matter of weeks.

Update: Yeah, she's scaring the shit out of the lefties, to the point of insanity:

Palin Derangement Syndrome Hits New Low

Sphere: Related Content

Yeah, I've said that before and will probably say it for the next month but this is assinine to say the least:

So although the allegation comes in a strangely cryptic email and there is no actual proof that this procedure was performed, we've been studying Sarah Palin's mouth very closely (see slideshow below), and would like to put this question to the readers. Do you think Sarah Palin's lipliner is a tattoo? Cast your vote in the poll below
This is an actual post on the Puffington Host, one of the major lefty blogs. If I ever wrote a post that said I was "studying" anyones "mouth very closely" and also include a slideshow and poll, please shoot me.

How friggin' obssessed does one have to be to home in on someones mouth to the point that they actually compare pictures? What kind of loser must a person be that they would even post something like this? Well, I guess someone who has posting priviledges over at Arianna's trainwreck of a blog.

News and Notes For Thursday

Sphere: Related Content

It's feeling like fall is coming here in the great state of New Jersey. A beautiful time of year except it means winter is coming as well.

Here's some news from around the web:

-Babalu finds more communist craziness at the official website of The Messiah BH Obama. H/T: LGF.

-Pakistan figures they'd rather battle us than the Taliban/al-Qaeda. Probably not such a wise choice.

-My favorite story of the day concerns the worst congressman:

One of the Marines cleared in the killings of Iraqi civilians in the town of Haditha plans to sue his congressman today for statements he says defamed him and other members of his squad.

Former Marine Lance Cpl. Justin Sharratt, 24, of Canonsburg, will file a civil lawsuit against U.S. Rep. John P. Murtha, D-Johnstown, who was widely quoted two years ago saying that eight Marines carried out a cold-blooded killing of 24 civilians in the Iraqi town on Nov. 19, 2005.

Charges were later dropped against all but one of the Marines, with a military prosecutor calling allegations against Mr. Sharratt "incredible."

Noah Geary, a Washington County lawyer representing Mr. Sharratt, said his client will file suit today in U.S. District Court in Pittsburgh accusing Mr. Murtha of violating his constitutional rights as well as slander for statements about the Haditha incident. A 1:30 p.m. news conference has been planned to announce the suit.
Awesome, I hope he takes every penny that fat, corrupt bastard has.

-McCain is now tied again among registered voters according to Gallup.

-Palin Derangement Syndrome is now a nationwide epidemic and the symptom of blithering idiocy is manifesting itself.

-Leave it to the local press of Chicago who know Obama best to actually vet him and dig into his shady deals of the past. At least the AP is now forced to cover it. Don't expect to see this story in the NY Times tomorrow.

Gov. Palin Speaks With Media At Ground Zero

Sphere: Related Content

Sarah Palin spoke briefly with the media and the main topic was centered on Ground Zero and the attacks that occurred there seven-plus years ago (this is verbatim from a Hotline transcript that was evidently rushed):

CNN: On the topic of never letting this happen again, do you agree with the way the Bush administration has handled the war on terrorism, is there anything you would do differently?

A: I agree with the Bush administration that we take the fight to them. We never again let them come onto our soil and try to destroy not only our democracy, but communities like the community of New York. Never again. So yes, I do agree with taking the fight to the terrorists and stopping them over there .

POLITICO: Do you think our presence in iraq and afghan and our continued presence there is inflaming islamic extremists?

A: I think our presence in iraq and afghanistan will lead to further security of our nation, again, because the mission is to take the fight over there. do not let them come over here and attempt again what they accomplished here, and that was some destruction. terrible destruction on that day. but since september 11, americans uniting and rebuilding and committing to never letting that happen again.
No big, earth-shattering thoughts but still enough to evoke immediate sexist responses in the comments section, which seems to be the typical, liberal knee-jerk reaction. Amazingly, the numerous "bimbo" references seem to all come from women. Feminism indeed!

Let her do this more often as she gets more comfortable on this large stage and then juxtapose her answers with those of the Vice Gaffemaster Joe Biden repeatedly. Old "57 state" Obama will always hold the title on the gaffe championship. She made zero mistakes and answered forthrightly, which is exactly how we thought she would since she is a politician.

Exit note to those who disagree with Palin here: Our wars in both Afghanistan and Iraq have indeed made us safer as the proof is in the fact we've not been attacked at home since. Keep hoping al-Qaeda gets lucky just once so you don't have to hear that anymore, you know it's how you feel.

Hidden Secret: The Media Wants the GOP to Win...No Really

Sphere: Related Content

Leave it to the intrepid sleuths at the Huffington Post to blow the lid off a conspiracy that is so diabolical as to convince everyone with the exception of idiotic lefties with tin foil in their tams:

Something is not right. We have a terrific candidate and a terrific VP candidate. We're coming off the worst eight years in our country's history. Six of those eight years the Congress, White House and even the Supreme Court were controlled by the Republicans and the last two years the R's have filibustered like tantrum throwing 4-year-olds, yet we're going to elect a Republican who voted with that leadership 90% of the time and a former sportscaster who wants to teach Adam and Eve as science? That's not odd as a difference of opinion, that's logically and mathematically queer.
See the delusion here? It's gospel that Obama is a good candidate, Biden was a good selection, Bush is the worst president in the history of the republic and Palin is not a governor, she's a "former sportscaster" (the fact that Olbermann is also a former sportscaster escapes our hero but I digress.) They are at a loss to explain how a man as Messianic as Obama could possibly lose this election so there has to be an evil plot--probably hatched by Dick Cheney--whereby the media is in cahoots to put this election in the column of the GOP. Yes, the same media that has been rooting around every place Gov. Palin has ever been and talking to everyone she has ever talked with. Yeah, the same media that humiliated her daughter to smear her. Yes, the same media that mentioned there may just be something to that story about Bristol Palin actually being Trig Palins mother.

It get better as our boy goes way off the tracks on the Palin Derangement Syndrome LOCOmotive:

So what is this house advantage the Republicans have? It's the press. There is no more fourth estate. Wait, hold on...I'm not going down some esoteric path with theories on the deregulation of the media and corporate bias and CNN versus Fox...I mean it: there is no more functioning press in this country. And without a real press the corporate and religious Republicans can lie all they want and get away with it. And that's the 51% advantage.

Think this is some opinion being wryly posited to titillate other bloggers and inspire dialogue with Tucker Carlson or Gore Vidal? Fuck that. Four corporations own all the TV channels. All of them. If they don't get ratings they get canceled or fired. All news is about sex, blame and anger, and fear. Exposing lies about amounts of money taken from lobbyists and votes cast for the agenda of the last eight years does not rate. The end.
Okay, I'll bite, Instead of investigating sex (Bristol Palin), blame and anger (McCain's supposed bad temper) and fear (the GOP pushing the al-Qaeda meme), I'll agree with this idiot and say let's look into the money taken from lobbyists (Biden and MBNA) and lies (Obama's relationships with both Rezko and Bill Ayers. Let's get on with it.

The left in this great nation is slowly coming unhinged by the fact that they were outwitted by us non-Harvard educated Republicans once again. We threw a curveball and nominated a hick, ez-beauty queen, gun-toting, bible thumpin' woman for VP and for some reason, people like her.

My favorite bit of garbage thrown out that didn't stick was when they said that Bush's speechwriter wrote the speech and that's why it was so good and she's just like Bush. I thought Bush was a complete and utter idiot who drools when he eats and can't string two words together. He also hires intellectual lightweights for his staff, yet the speech was brilliantly written. How can that be?

Just to rub it in, the gun-toting, bible thumpin' hick from Crawford Texas also beat you...twice. And no, it had nothing to do with Diebold.

Newsflash! Sarah Palin Makes Non-gaffe, Film at Eleven

Sphere: Related Content

The very thought that she made she made an error caused the world to shake. Except, it's not true.

This one day after Obama referred to his "Muslim faith" during an interview with ABC (se below). No, I am not one to think Obama is a Muslim but it was another in a long list of gaffes by Biden and Obama and once the lefties thought they had Palin, it was a feeding frenzy that left them once again with a big nothing, nada, zilch...plus an empty stomach.

Josh Marshall: Index Case of Palin Derangement Syndrome

Sphere: Related Content

It's a brutal disease whereby one become completely unhinged by any mention of Palin that does not include a salacious, untruthful rumor. The main symptom is a random pounding on ones keyboard and producing incoherent posts that have nothing to do with reality when viewed by those not afflicted (which is about 60% of the population.)

Here's a great example of this symptom played out today when Marshall became aware that the Charlie Gibson/Paling interview would be a multi-day interview:

Political interviews are never done like this. Because it makes the questioning entirely at the discretion of the person being interviewed and their handlers. The interviewer has to be on their best behavior, at least until the last of the 'multiple interviews' because otherwise the subsequent sittings just won't happen. For a political journalist to agree to such terms amounts to a form of self-gelding. The only interviews that are done this way are lifestyle and celebrity interviews. And it's pretty clear that that is what this will be....

It will be unwatchable.
Perhaps someone should clue Josh in that it was he who has been slamming Gov. Palin for not doing interviews but then when she says that yes, she will be interviewed--and note, not by Fox News, he slams the format. Nothing like continually changing the rules by which Josh Marshall will agree that yes, it's a good format and interviewer. I'm guessing it would have to be Keith Olbermann, Johnathan Alter and Markos Moulitsas Zuniga (old "screw them" Kos himself) on the set of Keith's abortion of a show. The fact that Palin would destroy all of them would probably spell the end for Marshall.

Anyway, I fear for Josh Marshall's health--both mental and physical. The late stages include extreme fear of Sarah Palin and the disintegration of the Obama campaign. We're two days into that phase now.

Ann Althouse has more. Additional thoughts along this line here.

Update: Oprah is a member of PDS, yet only is suffering some of the symptoms. Could Palin destroy Obama and Oprah in the same election? No one wants to see Oprah crash and burn but she may get seriously singed by the Obama backlash.
