Teddy Kennedy, Jerusalem and Monica Lewinsky's Rabbi: The DNC is a Mess

Regardless of what one thought of the Clint Eastwood speech, you cannot argue the fact that the RNC was a well-run affair. Speakers came on when they were supposed to, the GOP was the same at 7 PM as they were at 10 PM and it was a well-oiled machine, unlike the DNC, which features every lefty psycho they could find.

Juxtapose that with the DNC, which started yesterday.

So far, in the last 24-hours, they have announced they would move Obama's speech from an 80,000 seat stadium to a smaller arena because of "the weather", a former Solyndra-connected crony was seen fleeing from TV cameras while guards stopped reporters and Democratic leadership rammed through a platform change that re-inserted the word "God" and language stating that Jerusalem is indeed the capital of Israel after they got pummeled for removing it.

Check out the Arab voters getting highly irate. Don't sweat it Arabs, Obama's been doing this to blacks since he started running for office--taking them for granted as he's doing with you now. You be the judge and listen to the crowd. This was a great example of how Democrats win elections...by cheating their asses off.

It started off just swimmingly (pun definitely intended) with a video tribute to Ted Kennedy--a man who allowed a young woman to drown and got worse from there. I guess the Robert Byrd KKK tribute video is scheduled for this evening right before Bill Clinton, who once said "“A few years ago, this guy would have been carrying our bags.” about the current president, takes the stage.

To top it off, the idiots who organized this whole charade actually scheduled Monica Lewinsky's Rabbi to give the benediction after Slick Willy exits.

This last 24-hours sums up the last four years nicely: no one seems to be leading the show, everyone is in it for themselves and democrats have no idea what the hell they are doing. But don't worry Dems, the media will portray this as the greatest spectacle since the Big Bang and the rest of the right-thinking world will just laugh at you.

The Liberal Idea of "Great"

Author Ira Shapiro--a former senate aid--has a book out praising senators who supposedly worked together back in the 70's. I'll leave the book to its own merits but did find this interesting in the review in todays Inqy:

According to Shapiro, once upon a time - specifically, the 1960s and 1970s - the Senate was dominated not by villains but rather by profoundly inspired, principled, and open-minded public servants. Among its members were Howard Baker, Robert Byrd, Jacob Javits, Ted Kennedy, and Ed Muskie - plus a present survivor of that era, Richard Lugar. The Last Great Senate challenges historian Lewis Gould's 2005 assertion that the post-World War II body had injuriously impeded "the nation's vitality and evolution."

Emphasis mine.

So Kennedy and Byrd were "principled, and open-minded public servants", huh?

Hmmm, I seem to recall that Kennedy was really open-minded when he allowed a young woman to die when he crashed his car into water in Chappaquiddick, Massachussetts; a scandalous act that what white-washed for decades. He was really open minded when he and his liberal buddy Chris Dodd assaulted a waitress.

And what of the "principled" Robert Byrd? Yea, Byrd was highly "principled' when he served as a Kleagle for the Ku Klux Klan in West Virginia (also white-washed). He was very "openminded" when he said this on TV:



I say to Mr. Shapiro--a man who pines for the old days back when we had racists and murderers in the Senate--that no sir, I have no desire to return to the days we had these vermin representing us. Yes, they may have agreed on some legislation but it I'll pass. If one wants to see real cross-aisle compromise, one only needs to look at the Voting Rights and Civil Rights acts where Republicans overwhelmingly voted to pass the landmark laws while southern Senate Democrats fought it tooth and nail (including Al Gore's father and Clinton mentor Sen. Fulbright).

KKK Kleagle and a Man Who Allowed Woman to Die are Icons, Witchcraft Bad

This shows just how FUBAR the dems are. Ted Kennedy plunged off a bridge one night while hammered, allowed a young woman to drown while he ran away, slept and called his lawyer and he was a revered figure.

Robert Byrd started a KKK klan that targeted blacks and did it so he could get ahead politically and he was considered the dean of the Senate.

Christine O'Donnell said she dabbled in with craft when she was in high school and she's unfit to be elected to the same august body that those two reprobates squandered our dollars in for decades.

That's today's Democrat party. That's today's media.

No wonder both are in the position the sinking position they're currently in. Same for the country.

Can the GOP Steal Ted Kennedy's Seat?

Er...probably not but there's more hope then we've had since Mary Jo Kopechne was left to die at Chappaquiddick.

Scott Brown is giving the "hand selected" candidate Martha Coakley fits in Massachusetts and today, through internet words of mouth and blogs links he's raised over $800K. He was hoping to break $500K but that was surpassed hours ago.

If we could take this seat, it would definitely put the Dems into a full-on tizzy and Harry Reid would be whirling like a dervish on the Senate floor. Damn, I think I almost pissed my pants just thinking about it.

Wouldn't it be ironic if the Dems who were forced into voting for Obamacare bailed out before it could get final passage because of a GOP upstart taking Kennedy's seat? Think about it; Massachusetts has it's own version of Obamacare and that is the only campaign issue right about now. Imagine if Coakley lost what it would say about socialized medicine.

Monday Night News and Notes

I've been busy and this blog has taken a back seat but I'm feeling more full of venom with each passing day and should be back to more regular posting in the near future.

Here's what's news:

-The unions are getting fat, dumb and happy during the early Obama admin. They, being greedy bastards want much, much more.

-Teddy Kennedy and the KGB.

-We in the US can't drill, can't dig and can't do, well, anything because of the onerous environmental lobby in the US who has gained Obama's ear. Canada is stepping in and taking the spoils.

-You see, us idiots who oppose socialized medicine are only against it because Obama hasn't framed his message correctly, not because we see the folly in it or have actually read the bill.

Kennedy Coverage Makes Me Want To Puke

Enough already. Ted Kennedy was a drunken slob with a penchant for sexual roughness, a man who would do anything to protect his family even when those in it faced credible charges including rape and was a serial adulterer. In fact, those were his good points.

I'm watching ABC News simply because I'm awaiting the start of the Eagles game and it's on the same station (ironically, Michael Vick is going to play and his offenses seem alot more irrelevant when compared to Kennedy) and they are have been going on for ten damn minutes showing his hearse traveling through the state that was stupid enough to keep electing him.

I'm in shutdown mode when it comes to lionizing such a sleazebag. I'm with Breitbart on the outrage meter on this one. At least some liberals have sense about this and put it into proper perspective.

When the former KKK kleagle Robert Byrd finally kicks, we'll be forced to watch endless stories of how he was a huge supporter of civil rights I assume.

Thoughts on the Death of Ted Kennedy

If anyone had a claim to a pseudo-monarchy in the US where we fought to overthrow a monarchy, it was the Kennedy clan. From JFK and RFK through Edward and their collective offspring, they held a position in the country no other family has held. They dictated policies and pushed through legislation that not many others had the muscle to.

Ted Kennedy in particular lived a life that would have been impossible for any other politician. He was involved in the death of a woman who was not his wife and some believe he was responsible. He left the scene while the woman was trapped and drowning, didn't contact the police until the next day and only did so after phoning his lawyer.

Today, we see obituaries that lionize Kennedy as a near mythical figure because he was an unabashed liberal. The fact that he was directly responsible for ending a woman's life never figures into the equation for liberals as they will overlook nearly anything if it means forwarding their agenda. So no, I'm not going to get weepy or even say he was a great American. I will say he was a tough debater when it came to pushing his position and his death will finally end what the media made into American royalty: the Kennedy family having a key position in the direction of our nation. I pray for his family and hope they find comfort but can't bring myself to say a good word for a man who robbed a woman of her future and allowed her to die in the cold water near a bridge in Chappaquiddick, MA.

Ted Kennedy Cancer in Remission

I find it ironic though that Ted Kennedy has been a hawk on pushing socialized medicine but it free market health care that helped him in this case. In a socialized medicine world akin to Canada or Britain, the average person would never get the care they get in the US. Senator Kennedy was saved by the medical advances we only see in the American system as it's been for generations.

I'm happy for the Senator and wish him well.

Wednesday Morning News & Notes

Still raining, still gloomy, people are sick of it. If they say we are suffering a drought, the backlash will be enormous.

Anyway, here's what's new:

-The Kennedy's are fighting over Teddy's seat even though Teddy is currently alive and still occupying it. These people are shameless. American royalty my ass.

-Anti-gay marriage proponent semi-nude pictures found, Wait for the backlash.

-The Mafia is intruding on the idyllic world of greenies. Hell, the thuggish governments of the world are stealing billions, why should La Cosa Nostra be left out?

-Now this is just plain weird.

-Dealing with politics at work in the age of Obama.

Stimulus Vote Update--Ted Kennedy Roused

It's come to this; Teddy Kennedy is going to fly in for the vote and he can't be in good shape. If the GOP stays united, they still can't win and Teddy's trip will be for naught.

Since he's coming in I expect that they do indeed have the votes and the GOP in the Senate couldn't hang like the GOP in the House. The traitors are getting played for suckers but we expect nothing less from the Dems. Congrats to those who go to the dark side, you'll forge your legacy as the ones who turned against your party and hurt the country. I hope you can live with that.

I predict the number of traitors will be four.

The Dwindling Kennedy Influence

Whither the Kennedy's?

It's bee a rough ten months or so for the Kennedy family. Senator Kennedy was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor--a tough blow.

But look at what has occurred recently:

Princess Caroline Kennedy has been belittled by the news media when she threw her hat into the ring to replace Senator Clinton and now this:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Plans for the nation's first offshore wind farm got a boost Friday when a federal agency rejected high-profile opponents' arguments that the giant turbines would damage the environment off Cape Cod.

A bitter fight over the proposed wind farm has lasted more than seven years. Its foes, including Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., argue the wind farm would kill birds and endanger sea life, and harm the scenic area's tourism and fishing industries.

But the new Minerals Management Service report said developer Cape Wind Associates' plans pose no major environmental problems.

The new Obama administration will decide the project's fate. President-elect Barack Obama, who wants to double alternative energy production over the next three years, was visiting an Ohio company that makes parts for wind turbines on Friday. He takes office Tuesday.

Too bad for the Kennedy's that a judge overturned their collective family hypocrisy. One has to assume Obama has no option but to approve it or he will also be seen as a major hypocrite and not just by conservative pundits.

Sen. Kennedy Taken to Hospital

Sen. Teddy Kennedy was taken to a hospital in Cape Cod today after "feeling ill".

Here's to hoping the Senator gets home soon.

Convention Notes--Monday Night

Police arrested some white supremacist's in an alleged plot to assassinate Barack Obama. Details are sketchy but a presser is scheduled for today to provide details.

Sen. Edward Kennedy and I agree on just about nothing. That said, it was nice to see the old liberal lion appear last night at the convention. He looked better than I had expected and spoke of a future of hope. Here's to hoping we see him at the next convention.

Obama just opened himself up to the William Ayers charges and he did it in his own ad. For those a little late to the game, Ayers was a leader of the Weather Underground who bombed the Pentagon and killed policemen. Obama sat with him on boards and went to him to gain favor when starting out in politics. This may be the latest, yet greatest political blunder in a campaign that has seen many. This may have opened him up to even more associations that are, shall we say, sordid?

The PUMA's aren't going away quietly.

Zombie got a taste of just how angry and bitter the liberal fringe is. The cops seem ready to start cracking some skulls.

Senator Ted Kennedy Has Malignant Brain Tumor

Ted Kennedy has been diagnosed with a brain tumor through tests conducted after suffering a seizure over the weekend:

BOSTON - A cancerous brain tumor caused the seizure Sen. Edward M. Kennedy suffered over the weekend, doctors said Tuesday in a grim diagnosis for one of American politics' most enduring figures.

"He remains in good spirits and full of energy," the doctors for the 76-year-old Massachusetts Democrat said in a statement.

They said tests conducted after the seizure showed a tumor in Kennedy's left parietal lobe. Preliminary results from a biopsy of the brain identified the cause of the seizure as a malignant glioma, they said.

His treatment will be decided after more tests but the usual course includes combinations of radiation and chemotherapy.

I agree with exactly zero of Senator Kennedy's political positions and have been highly critical of him throughout the five years-plus writing this blog. That said, nobody should suffer through cancer.

Kennedy was instrumental in endorsing my cousin for acceptance into the Air Force Academy and my cousin--who recently died from cancer--didn't let him down.

I wish Senator Kennedy all the best and hope he can make it through this. My prayers go out to him and his family.

One thing I need to point out however, when Maggie Thatcher took ill and when Dick Cheney was treated for various heart ailments, leading lefty sites such as Huffington Post have been forced to shut down the comments because the libs went insane and posted some of the most vile comments wishing them a painful death or other such happy thoughts. Go read the comments at one of the leading righty sites--LGF--and you'll note that there is nothing but nice sentiments posted. The difference in the two reactions is astounding to say the least.

That says alot.

The Teetering of Two Dynasties

The oldest and (at least in the minds of Kennedy's) most cherished family dynasty in the Democratic party is struggling to keep some semblance of relevancy even though the remaining active politically active members are a Senator who's been in office for thirty some-odd years and a younger member who was busted in the early morning hours mumbling drunkenly about needing to vote. Oh, almost forgot about a Kennedy who is perpetually screaming about global warming but won't support wind farms in Massachusetts that may inconvenience him personally.

The other family is the Clinton family who is likewise struggling to hold on to power and sees that power slipping away and they are not letting go without one hell of a fight.

The two families have intertwined and it may well be that both will prove irrelevant:

Kennedy, rejecting entreaties from the Clintons and their supporters, is set to endorse Senator Barack Obama’s presidential bid on Monday as part of an effort to lend Kennedy charisma and connections before the 22-state Feb. 5 showdown for the Democratic nomination.

Both the Clintons and their allies had pressed Mr. Kennedy for weeks to remain neutral in the Democratic race, but Mr. Kennedy had become increasingly disenchanted with the tone of the Clinton campaign, aides said. He and former President Bill Clinton had a heated telephone exchange earlier this month over what Mr. Kennedy considered misleading statements by Mr. Clinton about Mr. Obama, as well as his injection of race into the campaign.

I don't necessarily agree with the Times characterization of the Kennedy's as having "charisma" anymore--at least with regard to Teddy, but this may well mean something in the Democratic party.

Bill Clinton could get away with the smash-mouth brand of politics when he was running against lesser candidates (read white) like Al Gore or Bob Dole but all of a sudden the scions of the party are getting nervous that the "Clinton machine" is using those same exact tactics against the first true black candidate, one who has a real shot at actually being the candidate.

Will this mean anything? No one knows but it could be that it's the end of both of these politically-connected families and the Democrats may well be in the midst of a purge that should have been executed six-years ago.

I must admit to getting a warm, fuzzy feeling seeing in my minds eye slick Willy begging Chappaquiddick Teddy to please support the Shill.

Senator Kennedy Has Surgery

Senator Ted Kennedy and I agree on exactly nothing and I abhor his stances and sordid history. That said, I hope the Senator recovers fully from this:

BOSTON (AP) - Sen. Edward M. Kennedy underwent surgery Friday to repair a partially blocked artery in his neck, which was discovered during an examination of a decades-old back injury.

Kennedy, 75, underwent the hourlong procedure on his left carotid artery—a major supplier of blood to the neck and head—at Massachusetts General Hospital, his office announced.

The operation, performed by Dr. Richard Cambria, the hospital's chief of vascular surgery, was completed without complications, and the Massachusetts Democrat was expected to be released in several days, his Washington office said in a statement.

A carotid endarterectomy, the formal name for the operation, is performed on more than 180,000 people a year to prevent a stroke.

Unlike the jackals on the left who jump for joy and wallow in their vile mud every time a conservative such as Vice President Cheney or Laura Ingraham have medical issues, I'll just hope that Sen. Kennedy recovers quickly and gets back to work.
