NJ Pol Resigns After Sending Pic of Junk

Sphere: Related Content

New Jersey politician Louis Magazzu (D) announced his resignation "after nude pictures he sent to a woman he had been corresponding with were posted on a Republican activist's website," the New York Daily News reports.

"The tawdry photos - taken in front of a mirror with a smartphone -- are similar to those that led to Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) to call it quits in June. Magazzu, a 53-year-old lawyer who had been an elected county official for more than a decade, apologized to his friends, family and constituents in a statement, but indicated he had been set up."

Said Magazzu: "I did not know that she was working with an avowed political enemy to distribute these pictures. I have retained counsel to determine what laws may have been broken by the unauthorized distribution of those pictures."

Those damn political enemies put you up to taking a phone pic of your package? No, it wasn't the fact that you're a deviant or that you get off on sending lewd pictures of yourself to people you've never met. Instead it was those evil Republicans--probably even Tea partiers who support Sarah Palin and Chris Christie.
So I guess in this scumbag's stilted world sending pictures of your shlong is all good as lonmg as you weren't coaxed into it by a "political enemy".

Another black eye--or set of blue balls--for the great state of New Jersey.

For the record, I bet he's a Yankee's fan.

How y'all doin?

Here's what's goin on in this crazy old world.

-Shocka! States that abided by the time-tested ideals of fiscal conservatism are doing great while those that spent in the time-tested liberal fashion are cratering. The death of conservatism has been exaggerated.

-Sen. Arlen Specter (Turncoat-PA) is finding out that his decision to be politically expedient wasn't such a good idea.

-Things are not going so well in Afghanistan. I trust Michael Yon to give us the straight story more than anyone. I guess we'll start seeing massive protests in San Francisco any day now that the war monger Obama is letting our troops die.

-Big Brother lives.

-Decidedly unstudly stud gets his comeuppance. Not quite sure what they did with the superglue and probably don't want to find out.

-Libs freaking out over the Obama picture plastered around liberal bastion LA pictured at right.

Note to Pols: Keep It In Your Pants

What is it with politicians and infidelity? I get the fact that they are egotistical, narcissistic liars to begin with as those are the main job requirements but do they have any forethought as to consequences?

The latest is South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford who stoked a rabid press orgy by disappearing for four days. It turns out the guv was visiting his love interest in Argentina:

South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford acknowledged Wednesday that he was carrying on an affair with a woman in Argentina when he disappeared from his office last week, only to resurface this morning.

Sanford said he would resign as chairman of the Republican Governors Association and asked for forgiveness from his wife and four sons.

He did not respond when asked if he would resign as governor.

He also did not identify the woman, but asked for privacy. He said that his wife had known about the affair for five months and that he had known the woman for eight years.

He described the affair has having begun innocently enough, via e-mail.
By the time the next presidential election occurs, the only one left will be Sarah Palin and there's no way she's cheating as the press are following her constantly.

One good thing about Sanford's weird presser is that he didn't make his wife stand next to him ala Spitzer and he came clean quickly unlike Clinton. Plus he had at least enough respect for his wife not to knock boots in his own house like Bubba did.

Nice career you had, idiot. You've let down the party, your state, your wife and most importantly your kids. You must be proud.

Name That Party! Oregon Mayor in Sex Scandal

Sphere: Related Content

Welcome to our latest edition of Name That Party!

It's fairly easy to play; I'll give you a scandal and you tell me if the culprit is a Democrat or Republican:

Portland Mayor Sam Adams remained out of the public eye as City Hall work went on without him Thursday, but he said Portlanders should expect a decision "within days" about whether he'll resign or fight for his job.

He spent the day on "discussions of a personal nature" with people such as his pastor and his mentor, former Mayor Vera Katz.

...Adams, 45, said Monday he had a sexual relationship with an 18-year-old legislative intern in 2005 but lied about it and persuaded the young man to lie about it, too, in 2007 as he began his campaign for mayor.

Read the whole article and see if they tell you what party the man belongs to. Shocka, he's a Democrat.

Jack Ryan was a Republican and was eviscerated for propositioning his own wife, Larry Craig was arrested for tapping his foot and every other Republican that gets arrested has the "R" thrown next to their names in the headline. Not so with Democrats.

Here's a guy who may have had a sexual relationship with a minor (but definitely had a sexual relationship with an intern) and they don't even disclose his party affiliation.

I find it funny that the only time liberals seek advice from their "pastor" is when they are in trouble.

Monday Evening News and Notes

Sphere: Related Content

It should be a fairly normal week of posting as opposed to the erratic posting of late.

Here's what's new in the world:

Lucianne.com is getting a makeover. Meanwhile, we have groovy tunes to hear. That site is a bloggers dream for enormous content.

Almost good-looking San Diego woman is auctioning off her virginity for college coin.

Obama throws lefty backers a bone and allows a gay bishop to appear at inauguration.

What's a little misogyny between a reporter and jihadi's?

Jim Rice and Rickey Henderson make it into the Hall of Fame. I imagine Jim's first thought was something akin to "what the f**k makes me a better player fifteen years after they rejected me the first time" while Rickey mused "Rickey can't wait to see Rickey's face in Rickey's place at the Hall of Fame". Two scumbag writers sent in ballots that were blank. I'd take away their voting privileges. BTW, Henderson was a hell of a player.

Awesome headline! Dude sues Hooters for not allowing him to work there. Turning sexism on its head.

Obama Locks Up the Important Hooker Demographic

Sphere: Related Content

It may just put him on top in PA:

John McCain and Barack Obama, if you're wooing a population of registered voters who are young, female and drawn to men in suits, then Allegheny County has 675 ladies ready to pull your lever.

They're convicted streetwalkers, escorts and brothel babes collared in 2000 and from 2003-2006, uncovered by the Trib.

Based on the prostitutes' voter registration cards, they're destined to become Obama girls in November. That's because 78 percent of them registered as Democrats. Countywide, Dems make up only about 62 percent of voters, according to the Division of Elections.
Hey, why not? They don't pay taxes, will get a stimulus check and have a man they can be proud of in DC. Plus, they are some of the only Pennsylvanians that don't "cling" to guns and religion...well, at least religion.

National Enquirer Releases Edwards Photos

Sphere: Related Content

They are fuzzy and as Ed notes, there are some issue with them but the NE released the picture below of what is allegedly John Edwards holding his alleged baby in the Beverly Hills hotel room of Rielle Hunter:

It's not quite the slam-dunk evidence the NE had us believe they had and it is presented with typical tabloid splash but it is pretty convincing that it is indeed Edwards.

That said, why has he not addressed this issue in a forthright manner? There's only two possible reasons; a) he innocent and believes he is above this and doesn't have to explain himself to anyone, or b) he's guilty as hell and knows it will come out in due time and to claim innocence when he's not would make things infinitely worse. Think Bill Clinton's infamous "I did not have sex with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky" lie.

I'm guessing it's the latter.

This story is going to break and Sen. Obama best hope it's after the Denver convention. That doesn't seem to be a great strategy as the story is breaking through the media collusion to contain it:

“He absolutely does have to (resolve it). If it’s not true, he has to issue a stronger denial,” said Gary Pearce, the Democratic strategist who ran Edwards’ 1998 Senate race. “It’s a very damaging thing. ...

“The big media has tried to be responsible and handle this with kid gloves, but it’s clearly getting ready to bust out. If it’s not true, he’s got to stand up and say, ’This is not true. That is not my child and I’m going to take legal action against the people who are spreading these lies.’ It’s not enough to say, ’That’s tabloid trash,’“ Pearce said.

Again, the fact he has not even partially confronted this says more than any words.

This is too juicy for the media to ignore for much longer: a former VP candidate and two-time presidential candidate who received glowing media coverage has a child with a woman who is not his wife while his wife suffers from cancer. The wife also was trotted out to defend the candidate and a portion of his campaign was centered around the tribulations of his ailing wife. Americans can understand this a hell of a lot easier than his "two Americas" rhetoric and will want to read every salacious detail because we love scandal in the US.

Instead of "two Americas," it appears we have the two lives of John Edwards and they're about to collide in stunning fashion.

Update: Read Ann for more.

The John Edwards Affair Media Coverup Collusion

Sphere: Related Content

When John Edwards (AKA Silky Pony) first ran for the presidency in 2004, the media showered him with praise because he was the nice, reasonably young, good looking southern Democrat who is rich and has a nice family. When he decided to run in 2008, they showered him with praise (although not as much since the new flavor of the year--Obama--is running) because he was the nice candidate who cared about the poor and was just so...nice.

When it was revealed that Elizabeth Edwards had cancer, the media portrayed John as the doting husband who stood by her side. Personally, I thought he was a scumbag for not ending his campaign so she could rest at home with her kids. I further thought he increased his scumbag quotient by sending her out to fight his battles anytime anyone said anything remotely negative about old Silky. A real man there.

Now, the story has changed: Edwards has been caught by a tabloid paper visiting the alleged mother of his young child in a hotel room late at night. The media has grown quiet about protecting the former Senator and instead reports absolutely nothing. The fact that sex scandals have been reported with far scanter evidence is making it clearer by the day that this is collusion in its most brazen form by the MSM. They have reported nothing of this even though it has all the essential elements: a two-time presidential candidate, a love child, an attractive other woman, a cancer-stricken wife at home with the kids while the Senator meets for a tryst in a hotel late at night and eyewitness reporting that the man was caught leaving by a side door. Put it all together and it's powerful stuff. Except Edwards is a Democrat and one who would definitely serve in an Obama cabinet should that horrid scenario come to fruition.

When you have libs asking these questions, perhaps we have the clearest indication of media bias seen in years.
