Myers Looking Good

Sphere: Related Content

Chris Myers currently holds a 12% advantage with 27% reporting.

This should be a GOP hold.

Lost a seat in NM.

Dems pick up four seats.

Chris Myers for Congress

In what is shaping up as a dogfight, Chris Myers is battling John Adler for the seat being vacated by Rep. Jim Saxton.

This is an important one, folks. An Obama win and an increase in seats in the House means we need reliable conservatives who will act as a a bulwark against the liberal legislation Speaker Pelosi will try to ram through. This isn't a time for soft conservatism but for hard-nosed fighters who will stand up to Pelosi, Hoyer, Emanuel and Frank. Myers is that guy and a fellow decorated Navy vet to boot who served his country during the first Iraq War.

A perfect day is a Myers win, a Murtha loss and and a McCain win. Let's hope for all but at least two out of three.

Alright, here's the particulars:

Myers is up by a little over 1%; within the margin of error and a strong Obama turnout in Cherry Hill could spell disaster. Get out and vote Myers (I would say early and often but the Dems seem to have that locked up).

Why We Need Chris Myers In Congress

Sphere: Related Content

Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Rahm Emanuel, Christopher Dodd, Barney Frank...

A regular lineup of misguided legislators, hard core liberals and redistributionist's who want your tax dollars to pay for their misguided programs. Programs that will take years to undo once implemented.

We cannot lose Rep. Saxton's seat in Congress to another of this ilk like John Adler.

We need Chris Myers' experience, intellect and outsiders view to fight what will almost certainly be the greatest ideological battle since the Reagan Revolution.

The latest polls have Myers ahead by 3% but a large Obama turnout in Cherry Hill could put Adler over the top. Myers has fought this campaign without nearly the money Adler's had at his disposal but has done so by pointing out just how bad Adler will be for our district. Get out there and help push Myers over the top.

Your Vote is Crucial This Year

Sphere: Related Content

We've had 2-years of San Fran Nan that have accomplished absolutely nothing of consequence. Today's failure is just the latest in a string of horrid leadership attempts by the impotent Democrats.

That's why this election looms so large. Given a veto-proof majority, I guarantee that Pelosi will get many things accomplished: tax increases, socialized medicine, reduced military spending, etc.

There are seats that are now in the GOP stable that must remain so and one is right here in South Jersey. Rep. Jim Saxton is retiring after decades in Congress and there's a tough battle going on to replace him. Mayor Chris Myers is the candidate we have to support and protect this seat.

He's a decorated Navy vet, an executive with a major defense contractor, a mayor of my home town and strong Conservative presence. His opponent is a hyper-educated do-gooder liberal whose biggest claim to fame in his political career is getting a smoking ban passed throughout the state. He'll fit right in in Pelosi's nanny-state Congress to be sure.

It's time to get serious, we face a financial meltdown that will be with us for awhile and the continuing wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Terror groups are not beaten, just weakened and Russia is getting froggy in our own hemisphere thumbing their noses at the Monroe Doctrine.

Please read up on Chris Myers and you'll see that he's the candidate we need to replace Rep. Saxton.

Sunday Political News & Notes

Sphere: Related Content

With the bailout plan agreed upon, it's time to get back to the daily minutiae of the campaigns with the election a little over a month away.

-Let's start with this story concerning Obama and his high schoolish moment where he rather embarrassingly said in the debate that he too wore a bracelet of a fallen soldier. Did the parents of Sgt. Ryan Jopeck ask him to not wear the bracelet? It sure seems that way. Here's more on Sgt. Jopeck who died from a roadside bomb in 2006 in Tikrit. Note: Jopeck's name is spelled also Jopek.

-Gov. Sarah Palin did what all politicians must do when visiting Philly, she got a cheesesteak 'wit' and fried onions. Instead of Tony Luke's, she should have gone to South Street and Jim's but that's my preference.

Update: Video of Palin at Tony Luke's:

-GOP congressional candidate Chris Myers from my NJ district was formally endorsed by Vets for Freedom. The Medford, NJ mayor is a Navy vet and will be the best candidate to succeed Rep. Jim Saxton. His opponent is an old-school NJ politician who is part of the Dem machine that rules most of South Jersey but hasn't quite been able to make inroads in my county, which votes GOP consistently. Their campaign has been brutal. As an aside, I find it humorous that the Donks are quick to tag someone as a Bush crony when their own party has driven congressional approval ratings to record lows that haven't yet seen the bottom. I'm sure that Speaker Pelosi would be elated to reach the "high" that President Bush now enjoys.

-A GOP local leader is removed by McCain campaign for speaking her mind. If McCain runs this campaign worrying that every sentence will be misconstrued as racist, he will lose.

-Good News: Joe Biden will stay on with the Obama campaign and will continue doing events. Biden if a gaffe-a-minute guy and he is the gift that keeps on giving to right of center bloggers.
