The Award for Biggest Obama Shill is Awarded

The sheer knob-slobbering of this piece would even make Chris Matthews cringe:

Maybe Obama will persuade the lion and lamb to lie down together. Maybe he won't. Either way, I'll still think he deserved the Nobel.

He earned it in record time, the way I figure. The laurels were his from the moment the votes were counted that made him president because it got all of us -- black, white, Americans and people across the world -- over a hurdle that seemed impassable only a few years ago.

That's just a small taste of this unreadable drivel that should ensure that the editor gets fired or the Trib goes bankrupt.

The comments are 100% against the guy who actually wrote this seriously and not as satire.

The media adulation of Barack Obama has reached it's, er...climax with Evan Thomas and Chris Matthews doing to Obama what even Monica Lewinsky did to Slick Willy:

The old media is as dead as FDR at this point but Thomas and Matthews have finally thrown dirt on the rotting, fetid corpse. This is why people tune into alternative news, Fox and read blogs because liberals like Thomas are running what was once a respected magazine that is now way past the point of unreadable and soon to be one of those unwanted local news rags you get sent in the mail.

Obama and Lowering Expectations

Obama promised a great many things during the primaries and into the general election. Among them: stopping global warming, closing Gitmo, withdrawing from Iraq, beefing up forces in Afghanistan, going after bin-Laden more forcefully and about a million other things.

So far he's hedged on closing Gitmo, withdrawing from Iraq and going after bin-Laden. In other words, his words were merely words that he used as a tool to get elected.

Today we see the continuing of a recent trend whereby the media is lowering expectations so that they can say he attained more later. Unbelievably, MSNBC is also noting that the world is becoming a bit disenchanted with The One as well:

"The idealism has diminished," said Samuel Solvit, who heads an Obama support network in France. "Everyone was dreaming a little. Now people are more realistic."

Muslims want to know why Obama hasn't joined the chorus of international criticism of Israel's Gaza offensive. Last week posters of him were set on fire in Tehran to shouts of "Death to Obama!"

"By the time Obama takes office, hundreds or thousands more will be killed in Gaza and it will be too late for him to act," said Adel Fawzi, an Egyptian government clerk in Cairo.

Welcome to the world stage and reality BHO, the crazies in the world have been waiting for you. Obama promised everything to everyone while campaigning and now will have to break his word to a great many of them.

Starting with the world's Muslims who feel that since his father was Muslim and he grew up for a time in predominantly Muslim Indonesia, he has Muslim in his blood. They may grow to hate him more than Bush simply because he will be viewed as an apostate who shunned people of the same faith as his own dad.

Tomorrow afternoon, Barack Obama will become President Obama and his words will have great meaning. He will not be able to hedge as he has been about Israel/Gaza, economic issues and the myriad other things he's not commented on. Tomorrow, everything will be real and the answers will be needed pronto and with clarity. As an American citizen, I sure hope he's up to it.

Tonight at an expected Obama victory party, no one with star power greater than The One should attend:

We've heard he was arrogant but jeez, the people who helped get to where he is will be dissed even before he takes office. A new era in solipsism is taking beginning folks.

No one shall broach The Messiah on the night he proves that he is just as good as he always said he was. And oh yeah, all you people who cling to religion best stay out as well.

Watching this video has disturbed me more than almost anything I have seen in recent years. It is the kind of exploitation of children that reminds me of Young Pioneer Camps I saw when visiting the Soviet Union in the Eighties.

Hillary's All In Gambit

At this point, Obama is holding three aces and Shrillary holds two clubs and there's one out there in the flop but hey, two clubs in the last two flips and she's a winner right? It's all in for Clinton, folks:

A massive e-mail and Internet campaign is under way aimed at derailing the nomination of Barack Obama and making Hillary Clinton the party’s standard bearer next week at the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

“It’s downright nasty,” said Memphis, Tenn., superdelegate and city council member Myron Lowery, who has shared dozens of the messages he’s received with The (Memphis) Commercial Appeal newspaper.

“I think it’s divisive for the ‘Support Hillary’ campaign to continue at this time. She made the decision to fully support Mr. Obama,” said Lowery, who initially supported Clinton but later switched his allegiance to Obama. “I don’t know why they’re not taking their cue from Hillary and falling in line.”

Lowery said he does not believe Clinton herself is behind the effort, but that it’s “her supporters, acting on their own because they’re proud of what they have done for her.”

Oh no, Hillary has absolutely nothing to do with it at all.

The Shill was right, Obama is a horrid candidate and she is more electable. Whether or not she is actually capable of winning the election is not quite so clear.

Polling numbers released today show Obama now down by five per cent to the Maverick in spite of the daily media hummer given to the Messiah and in spite of the fact that he is he greatest thing to happen to America...ever. George Washington with bigger ears if the media is to be believed.

So Hillary sets it up that her supporters and the millions who voted for her should be heard and tries to steal the nomination, the DNC will never allow it and we have chaos on the floor in Denver. I'm hoping for hair pulling, slapping and pepper spray inside while outside we have anarchist's doing what anarchist's do and anti-warriors seeking shelter and cowering in Marine recruiting stations begging the jar heads for help...all with video. It will be epic.

I never thought I'd say this but I support Hillary in this valiant effort and look forward to Obama stuttering his way through the interview explaining what's happening.

Philly Pastor: "Wright...Prophetic"

Pathetic is more like it but it seems that hate speech is essentially standard for black preachers:

"I look at Rev. White (sic) as controversial but prophetic," the Rev. G. Daniel Jones said. "He is informed and he informs. He is a religious analyst coming out of the biblical tradition who denounces social ills and warns people on how to become more just and more humane."

Jones is pastor of Grace Baptist Church of Germantown, Wright's spiritual home when he was growing up in Philadelphia.

Wright's father served as pastor there from 1938 to 1980. His portrait hangs in the entryway, above a plaque commemorating the church's centennial in 1992. The family was beloved by many in the congregation, and Wright Jr. returns annually to give a guest sermon.

..."We have been a very oppressive society since the writing of the Constitution," said Jones, now in his 26th year as pastor. Rather than take Wright's words literally, he believes the public should explore their deeper meaning.

"I think he's saying we're not the ideal society," Jones said. "There are some social ills that can be connected with white America. The facts are the facts."

Obama describes himself as a uniter but the church he frequents and one his former preacher guests at are dividers.

Let's look at the deeper meaning as Rev, Jones recommends. According to what I've read he surmises and preaches the following:

• White people are responsible for all black ills;
• White Presidents introduced HIV and crack into black neighborhoods;
• We deserved to watch 3,000 die on Sept. 11;
• The nation is still polarized extensively;
• Israel is a terrorist state;

Does that about sum it up for the deeper meaning, Rev?

Obama has his hands full today and he'll need to hit a homer to regain the traction he had a couple of weeks ago. Note he's speaking at the National Constitution Center and not a church and note that it will be covered by more media than the Super Bowl (TM).
