Obama Revises the Present

Obama and his fellow Democrats have been known for revising history on issues such as the Iraq war and other passed mistakes. In fact, they've been so good at it that were Joseph Stalin still around, he'd marvel at the skill in which they change facts and figures to hide inconvenient truths.

But today, Barack Obama took it to a new level altogether, he actually revised the present:

CNN’s ANDERSON COOPER: “And Senator Obama, my final question, some of your Republican critics have said you don’t have the experience to handle a situation like this. They’ve in fact said that Governor Palin has more executive experience as mayor of a small town and as governor of a big state of Alaska. What’s your response?”

OBAMA: “Well, my understanding is that Governor Palin’s town of Wasilla has I think 50 employees. We’ve got 2,500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe $12 million a year. You know, we have a budget of about three times that just for the month. So I think that our ability to manage large systems and to execute I think has been made clear over the last couple of years.” (CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360 Degrees,” 9/1/08)
Obama just ignores the fact that Sarah Palin is also known as Governor Palin. In other words, she runs a state with a $10-billion budget and 24,000 employees. She hasn't been a Mayor since shortly after Obama took the oath for the Senate.

To put that into a perspective Obama could understand, the budget of Gov. Palin's state is even more than the total of all the earmark requests Obama has asked for since he joined the Senate. Now that, my friends, is a huge budget.

How desperate does one have to be to completely disrespect the position of a woman who is governor of a major state and the first female one at that?

Short answer: Extremely desperate.
