Liberal Elitism Sinks Obama in PA

Sphere: Related Content

Due to work and baseball coaching constraints, blogging has been severely curtailed but I do want to take a minute to comment on just what the media is missing.

Barack Obama was catching Hillary three weeks ago, he spent nearly three times what she did (and I can attest to that as my local stations are in the Philly market and he saturated it) and still got soundly whooped. The reasons are many but the single biggest reason is the "bitter" comment he uttered out in Frisco to the billionaire libs.

Pennsy is a proud state, they love their sports, hunting and are religious--goals, guns and God if you please. They are hard-working blue collar folk for the most part, excluding the urban areas and then immediate counties around them, and have a middle class mentality whereby they were taught that if you work hard, good things will happen and you can get your children a good education so they can be white collar and succeed more than you did.

Liberals have a hard time understanding this mentality and Barack Obama was the epitome of a big city, elite liberal. Now don't get me wrong, Hillary is a liberal but she has advisers who know how to tap into the middle class mindset just as Bill did in 1992 and 1996. Obama has surrounded himself with effete libs who not only didn't know how to tap into that mindset, they flat out didn't care to try and thought by uttering meaningless platitudes about change and hope they could have the people of the Keystone State fall under the Messiah's rapturous spell. They were spectacularly wrong.

Read the comments at this post by Clinton shill Lanny Davis to get a feel for just how much Obama supporters still don't get it. Some excerpts:

Hillary won by 9.4. If this was truly Hill country, she should have blown O out of the water by 20 +. She went from a 26-point lead all the way down to 9.4. Yes, she won, but not by enough. This ain't the GOP, Lanny boy, so winner does not take all. It is your candidate who can't seem to close the deal. If she is so electable, why is this race still on? And why is she so damn broke! Get out of my face. I am so sick of the spin.
The myopia is astounding, Hillary won by almost 10%, by every single measure a blowout. She won all but four or five counties. They are stinging from the "can't close the deal" meme.

Why must you keep up this facade? Sen. Clinton picked up 10 delegates. Hardly a dent. She has run a relentlessly negative campaign against a fellow Democrat. Obama has for the most part stuck to the issues. She won by 9.2 points, when three weeks ago she was up by 20. She made use of street money, Obama did not. She made use of Ed Rendell's political machine... The list goes on and on. Because you say it is so does not make it so.
See, they still don't understand. They are unprepared to accept the fact that the man they've worshipped does not appeal to all Dems and they are stunned that Hillary could win; so stunned that they've rounded ten down to nine per cent. They're like Ron Paul supporters without the wit although they probably see their shrink more often.

Of course, what would a post about idiot liberals be without mentioning the queen of all lib dumb asses, Randi Rhodes who had this enlightening sentence escape from her fetid pie hole about Pennsylvanians:

The Clinton campaign describes Hillary’s voters as older, white, and undereducated. Or as we called them in my neighborhood: white trash.
Elitist? Yeah, and also a great reason why Hillary is still in this race. Hey, with friends like these, Obama...

Exit question: Is Randi Rhodes only as hideous as Rosie O'Donnell or more so?

Gotta go with Rosie on the hideous scale since I'm sure that she can top anybody on the scales. Besides, she also drips hypocricy from those voluminous pores.

BTW, I can relate to the effects of baseball coaching on blogging and, well, every other part of life. We haven't played our first game yet and I'm looking forward to the end.
