Happy Football Sunday. The Eagles have a tough one at home against the Ravens and a performance like last week by Vick will result in an ass-kicking of epic proportions.
With that said, here's some stuff you may not have seen while I was away on business last week:
-Gas prices, when adjusted for inflation, are now at the highest level ever. How much did you read about that in today's paper? This is easy but imagine how loud the outcry would be were this to have happened under Bush.
-Mark Steyn intellectually smacks the shit out of Joe Scarborough. It's the equivalent of Mike Tyson pre-Robin Givens and Danny DeVito going at it with with Steyn in the black trunks. Part 2 is here.
-Failed ABC and CNN host Christianne Amanpour is really anti-US in so many ways. I wonder why she failed so miserably as a host.
-This would be why I never give money when tragic events occur unless it's to the Red Cross.
-Glenn Reynolds: Time for Hollywood to Pay Its Fair Share. How awesome would it be to see this enacted? #Reynolds2016.
-Also, two must-reads at the Professor's site here and here showing the President's disdain for the 1st Amendment.
-Just in case you weren't sure what the Inquirer thought of your right to free speech, here you go (and the rest of the Constitution for that matter):

Sunday Morning News & Notes

You see, a Christian film maker is the exact same as a radical Islamist who murders innocents. I don't seem to recall the same thinking when The Last Temptation of Christ was released or "Piss Christ" was on display to the chagrin of many Christians. But then, Christians don't go violent rampages and kill ambassadors allegedly because they were incited by a movie or "art" but they did, in fact, break the artwork into little pieces while avoiding death and fires.
Interestingly, this is not the editorial cartoon they printed in today's paper by Signe Wilkinson, the one they printed is not available on line as far as a I can find.
