The Week That Was

Sphere: Related Content

I spent the last week in Myrtle Beach, SC where my son played in a baseball tourney at the Cal Ripken facility. No blog posts at all and I only read a paper one day while chillin' around the pool or on the beach.

With that in mind, here's some quick thoughts on what I didn't write about last week:

Georgia: The Russian bear is back and is flexing their might. They showed some muscle invading Southern Ossettia and President Bush and Senator McCain stood strong in most respects. Thank goodness that Jimmy Carter wasn't the Chief Executive of that Georgia.

Poland: The Poles said that yes, in spite of years of hedging, they would indeed welcome missiles for an SDI program into theuir nation. It's amazing what the threat of a Soviet re-emergence can do to a nations bargaining position.

Michael Phelps: One word: Stud.

Barack Obama: Four words: Unsuited for the job.

McCain: Picking a fight with Conservatives to try to win the center. The center means nothing without your base, Senator.
That would be my son at right diving back in during an attempted pick off.
