Chris Myers is a Lockheed-Martin exec and is running for Rep. Saxton's 3rd District seat in South Jersey. The Inquirer has some problems with his current position should he win:
Congressional candidate Chris Myers wants to push the revolving door the other way.Now think about this: would the Inqy have even ran this story if the candidate was on the board of NARAL, Planned Parenthood or Moveon.org? Oh no, a liberal would have the fortitude to make unbiased decisions where a conservative would do what the corporate world wants regardless of the situation.
Though members of Congress and their staffers frequently retire into lucrative jobs with government contractors, Republican Myers wants to leave his $250,000 job as a Lockheed Martin vice president to take a $169,000 job in Congress.
It's a rare move, and it's already bringing Myers increased scrutiny. If he wins, opponents and good-government organizations wonder whether he will favor the defense industry over the broad spectrum of interests in the congressional district, which runs through Burlington and Ocean Counties.
If you continue to wonder why papers like the Inqy continue to slide in sales, look no farther than this orchestrated hit piece.
