Does Stephanie Cutter Ever Tell The Truth?

Sphere: Related Content

Short answer: Not during his campaign.

When your boss has presided over the biggest fiscal train wreck in 30 years, you can't just get away with little fibs and white lies, dude you need to go full bore down Liars Street.

Cutter has said Romney is a likely felon, said repeatedly that she didn't know the details of the death of a woman Obama's campaign allegedly illegally conspired to create and lied about Paul Ryan and and his views on rape.

Today we have her latest doozy:

Well, I think that worker probably has a good understanding of what's happened over the past four years in terms of the president coming in and seeing 800,000 jobs lost on the day that the president was being sworn in, and seeing the president moving pretty quickly to stem the losses, to turn the economy around, and over the past, you know, 27 months we've created 4.5 million private sector jobs. That's more jobs than in the Bush recovery, in the Reagan recovery, there's obviously more we need to do, and as I said to Mika at the at beginning of the program, I think that unemployed worker probably sees one person in this race trying to move the country forward and that's the president.
 Emphasis mine.

So let me get this straight: Obamanomics has created about 100,000 net jobs during his first 3.5 years; about what Mitt Romney's Bain created according to the Wall Street Journal. You've heard that bullshit 4-million number but it doesn't take into account the first 13-months of Obama's term.

Deroy Murdock destroys that argument here in one little essay.

So why does Obama keep sending her out there? It seems like an easy question to answer when you look at who, historically would be out there for a sitting president. The first line of attack would always be the Vice President, an option that disappeared long ago but was tried with little success recently. Next it would be a senior strategist such as David Axelrod--a choice that also was disastrous. I guess you can try your former spokesman but Robert Gibbs is about as electrifying as Al Gore on Quaalude so that's a non-starter.

I got it, how about we send out the head of the DNC Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz? Well, that also was a bad idea since even uber-liberal Wolf Blitzer can tell she's full of shit.

So that leaves Cutter. Granted, she's better looking that Wasserman-Schultz, generally doesn't blurt out racist shit like Biden and doesn't have the irritating voice of Gibbs. Still, she's a liar of the first order if there's one thing Americans hate it's when someone lies right to their collective face.

We'll continue to see Cutter's mug all over MSNBC and CNN for the next two or three months but plainly and simply, when a sitting president has to lie to cover up your lie, you may not be long for the job and he probably won't be either.
