We have some who wonder why we consider 9/11 a sacred day and a president who believes it should be a day of service instead of what it is; a day to remember 3,000 of our parents, brothers, sisters, cousins, friends and co-workers who were reduced to nothing more than ash by 19 Arab terrorists who were guided by their Muslim ideology.
I choose to remember to music as I've never found any situation that music failed in making a bad thing better.
Here are some video clips from the various concerts and events in the wake of 9/11.
We start with Bruce Springsteen in the WTC Benefit show to raise money for the families with My City of Ruins:
Next we have the Rolling Stones doing Salt of the Earth in front of, well, the salt of the eart; those men and women of the NYPD, FDNY and Port Authority Police who felt loss as much as anyone:
The great Stevie Wonder with Take 6:
And finally, Neil Young with Let's Roll in remembrance of Todd Beamer and his compadres who, along with Jeremy Glick and others showed what it is to be an American when threatened:
Always remember that we rose up from the ashes and our men and women of the military did what had to be done. God Bless.
