We said he was a socialist in moderate clothing and they scoffed. We said he would implement the largest spending regimen seen since LBJ and they said we were Chicken Littles. We questioned his credentials and we were called racists. We asked what exactly he planned on doing since all he offered were platitudes and were told he had a plan and was the smartest most articulate presidential candidate in history. We said beware of what he offered and they shouted "yes we can!"
Now we see many who got caught up in the Obamania wondering who exactly is this man they supported and got elected and what did they do with the exciting moderate populist?
Maureen Dowd, David Brooks, Christopher Buckley, Jon Stewart and myriad others are all feeling a bit bamboozled by The One. Here's Stewart:
To paraphrase LBJ: If they've lost Stewart, they've lost America.
