Anthrax Terrorist Was Democrat

Ace exhaustively looks into this odd case and finds that Ivins was probably the culprit. There's a great many loose ends that have to be tied up.

The most-interesting point that Ace brings up is that Ivins was a Democrat who voted in every election since 1996. Once that word got out, Democrats have been trying to find reasons the guy was not guilty. As Ace rightfully notes, were Ivins a Republican, it would be splashed on every paper from here to San Diego and we'd be hearing that it was "hate mongers" like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity that pushed this guy to send letters filled with military-grade anthrax to mostly Democrat politicians and liberal TV commentators.

I wonder if they looked into this guys listening habits. I wonder if he listened to Air America and maybe Randi Rhodes in particular. She inspires more hate on her nicest day than Rush or Sean on their worst.

Update: Glenn Greenwald uses total circumstantial evidence to lay this on right-wing extremist's and doesn't even note that the guy was a Dem. I guess it doesn't fit his narrative.
