Governor Crist of Florida said that, yeah, he'd be open to redoing the Florida vote and seating the delegates each candidate wins.
That would effectively end the Hillary campaign regardless of what happens on Tuesday:
March 2 (Bloomberg) -- Florida Governor Charlie Crist said he'd support a repeat of the Democratic presidential primary so the state's delegates can be counted at the party's national convention.Hillary wanted the votes cast without having to revote as Barack Obama has the momentum and she'd get crushed in another vote effectively stamping out any chance she had. If Florida goes the revote route, Michigan would have to either do the same or come up with some other equitable solution that wouldn't send Obama supporters into the the stratosphere.
Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean said he's open to the possibility. Primary elections are paid for by a state's taxpayers, so the offer from Crist, a Republican, is ``very helpful'' because money is an issue, Dean said.
``We're very willing to listen to the people of Florida,'' Dean said on CNN's ``Late Edition'' program today.
Should this idea advance, it's game over for Shrillary. This is politics at its purest and Crist is playing it exceptionally.
