When the Dems took control of the House and Senate, I was resigned to the fact that they would pull the plug on Iraq before we could finish what we started, would shut down our surveillance programs and quash any Bush nominee for any position. I was very wrong.
Thanks to lame leadership by Reid, Pelosi, Murtha and Hoyer, we have seen a near resurgence in GOP plans making headway. In fact, we seem to be passing more bills favorable to the GOP this Congress than we saw during the four-years when we had control. I would imagine that also points to horrid leadership by the GOP during that period.
The Wall Street Journal lays it out in vivid detail and I've got to say, if I were a moonbat Democrat, I'd be pissed. Everything they wanted they got the exact opposite and now they have to contend with a war effort executed by General Petraeus that has gotten the attention of the American public.
In 2006, they finally convinced Lucy to hold the football long enough for them to kick it. To bad once they kicked it it was blocked, picked up and returned 60-yards for a touchdown by the evil Republicans.
Any talk of a Democrat landslide in 2008 is extremely premature. In the next year, you'll see the nutroots implode and battle hard against Hillary, Pelosi and Reid. The idea of another third party candidate splitting the ticket is a very real one and the "Blue Dog Dems" will revolt or get voted out. In other words, the new era is in for a very short run unless the donks get some backbone but I wouldn't count on it.
