Bush Pours Salt in Pelosi's Wounds

Speaker Nancy Pelosi came into Congress in January riding a sweet wave and was exulted by the media. Since that time, she's accomplished nothing except to alienate the Blue Dog Dems, piss off the hard-left anti-warriors and drive down congressional approval rates to record lows. Mission acomplished!

The Congress has had two main goals, investigate (and if possible impeach Bush) and get the troops out of Iraq. She's failed on both and sadly for the Donks the war seems to be shaping up quite nicely. Because of these failures on her part, Pelosi is taking heat on a daily basis and Bush just couldn't resist twisting the knife a full 360 degrees:

“We’re near the end of the year, and there really isn’t much to show for it,” Bush told reporters following a meeting with House GOP leaders.

“The House of Representatives has wasted valuable time on a constant stream of investigations, and the Senate has wasted valuable time on an endless series of failed votes to pull our troops out of Iraq,” the president said.
Pelosi responded of course:

With regard to Bush’s claim that the 110th Congress has little to show for, Pelosi pointed to several major bills that have been signed into law this year, including homeland security legislation, a minimum wage increase, and a tightening of lobbying and ethics rules.
Yeah, that whole ethics reform rhetoric really panned out, didn't it. John Murtha is the same old pork king he's always been and earmarks have increased across the board.

Let's just say that Pelosi is losing her support and the moonbats are getting all hand wringy because a) we seem to have turned the corner in Iraq and b) Pelosi has not been able to stop any meaningful Bush administration moves.

It's been a bad week for San Fran Nan.
