Well, I for one feel much better knowing that the UN has decided to allow us to keep our troops in Iraq:
The 15-member United Nations Security Council has unanimously voted to extend the mandate of the multinational force in Iraq until the end of next year.
The move was requested by the Iraqi government, which said the troops were needed for a further year while it built up its own security forces.
Of course, that force is comprised of mostly American troops and our allies the Aussies, Brits, Poles, Dutch and other nations who've stuck with us when we needed them, but why quibble. The UN has done nothing.
