Missed Opportunities

The Dems have shot themselves in the foot their first week in power by allowing the Murtha thing to simmer and crazy-ass Denis Kucinich is already ranting about cutting off funds. With all that going on, it would've smart for the GOP to capitalize and elect competent Senators to leadership positions. They of course failed.

The donks are also facing serious ethical issues before even reclaiming power and the incoming Majority Leader is in the crosshairs.

How could Trent Lott win any position of authority in the party? Simple, the Republicans learned nothing from last week. I guess they couldn't coax Jesse Helms out of retirement.

At least they put Mitch McConnell in the Minority Leader position.
