Gail Collins is to step down as the head of the NY Times Editorial Page. She will be replaced by another who fits the job requirements to a T:
Arthur Sulzberger Jr., publisher of The Times, called Mr. Rosenthal “a born editorial writer,” saying he had written some of the paper’s “most powerful and insightful editorials.” Mr. Rosenthal’s editorials have been highly critical of the Bush administration, particularly regarding intelligence and civil liberties issues and military commissions.
You don't even have to be able to write, you just have to hate Bush.
