Environmentalism as Religion

Sphere: Related Content

The thing that irks secularists and liberals is that to those who are Christians the Bible is fact. Christians are unswaying in their beliefs and it bothers liberals to the point of craziness.

We see the same thing with environmentalists (and pro-abortion types)--they believe that global warming is fact and nothing will change their minds. They will support any dictator or idiot (read: Al Gore) who supports the theory and any facts to the contrary are dismissed out of hand or even rebutted with viscious ardor.

This guy is a great example of that:

When we've finally gotten serious about global warming, when the impacts are really hitting us and we're in a full worldwide scramble to minimize the damage, we should have war crimes trials for these bastards -- some sort of climate Nuremberg.

Imagine Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell saying that non-believers should be put on trial such as those held for the vilest regime the world has ever known. What would the outcry be?

Environmentalism is a religion--and one more akin to radical Islam than modern Christianity. Too bad those who worship at the altar of Gaia can't step back and look at themselves.

He has since retracted the Nuremberg remark (probably because of the heat he got after Drudge linked) but my point remains the same. For anyone's mind to even come up with the idea is amazing.
