Karl Rove Redux

Sphere: Related Content

The current donk hissy fit kind of reminds of when Karl Rove said this:

"Conservatives saw the savagery of the Sept. 11 attacks and the prepared for war. Liberals saw the savagery of the Sept. 11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers"

Well, I posted a quiz at the time that could be used to determine if Rove meant you. Here's a link to the quiz.

5-years out from 9/11 and we still se liberals wanting to offer therapy and research root causes.

Here's a root cause you may be able to understand. Islamo-fascists hate you, me and every westerner. We are infidels to them and infidels are to be enslaved or killed. Period.

They find the Christian right as distasteful as the liberal left. They don't care that you support homosexual rights or the freedom to have an abortion. In fact those issue make them want to kill you more.

I once hoped right after 9/11 and the murder of nearly 3,000 souls that liberals would understnd these simple facts. Here we are in 2006 and I'm still trying to get the word through to them. I shudder to think what it would take.

Update: James Taranto today discussing the thought of Binyamin Netanyahu:

In Netanyahu's formulation, then, the civilized world, including much of the Muslim world, is defending itself against an aggressor that is Muslim but does not represent all Muslims. And as he noted, although we are not waging a religious war, the enemy is.

Whereas the Israelis have been engaged with this problem for decades, we Americans were not nearly so focused on it until half a decade ago. Thus it isn't surprising that leaders in Jerusalem would have a more sophisticated outlook than their counterparts in Washington. But the latter clearly could stand to learn from the former.

Emphasis mine. Indeed. The theocratic mindset of the Muslim terrorist is the driving force behind their militancy. We are not at war with Islam but radical Islamists who wish to do us harm.

It does not help that moderate Muslims have not spoken out against the blasphemous actions of the radicals.
