Arab Nations Put On Notice

Iraqi VP Mahdi says that Arab nations have much to fear:

WASHINGTON, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Iraqi Vice President Adel Abdul Mahdi on Thursday predicted an upsurge in attacks like the Jordan hotel bombings as militants shift to targets in other Middle Eastern countries.

As Islamic militants the "are weak or weakened in Iraq, they will start to open another front in other parts of the world, including the Arab world, because there they will have appropriate ground to do so," he said."All countries should be concerned," he added, citing Jordan, where suicide bombings at three luxury hotels in Amman on Wednesday killed 56 people.

Mahdi addressed a think tank audience as Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Chalabi pursued his political comeback on a simultaneous trip to Washington.

Chalabi planned to visit wounded U.S. soldiers from the Iraq war at Walter Reed Army Hospital, an organizer said. Both men have held separate meetings with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Mahdi is to meet Vice President Dick Cheney on Friday.

The Saudi's have been playing Russian roulette for years and have managed to keep their native population in check for awhile. That may change as there are now highly trained jihadi's who've been learning in Iraq and now that the Iraqi military is becoming a force, these terrorists will indeed set their sights outside Iraq toward easier targets.

Update: The Jordanian population is pissed. King Abdullah has more backbone than any other leader (as did his father) in the region as do the Jordanian citizens:

The groom said the blast happened as he and his bride were entering the wedding hall. He lost as many as 10 of his relatives, he said.

"This is not Islam," al-Akhras said. "This is a terrorist fighting our capital."
In the Palestinian West Bank village of Silet al-Thaher, Akhras family members mourned their relatives.

"Oh my God, oh my God. Is it possible that Arabs are killing Arabs, Muslims killing Muslims? For what did they do that?" screamed 35-year-old Najah Akhras
