Just finished the DC to Baltimore to NJ drive and I have to say that Maryland drivers are by far the most irritating in the nation. The left lane is not a passing lane in MD, it's a lane to get in front of Scott and drive the exact same speed as the person in the middle and right lane so Scott can't pass. By the way, just because the guy fifteen car lengths in front of you hits his brakes does not mean you have to hit yours you friggin' jerkoff. Just ease your foot on the gas a bit and that should do the job.
After a couple of days away from home, all I want is for your dumb ass to vacate the space in front of me so I can eventually get there. To all the people who slowed my progress today, I give a hardy F%$K YOU!

I do the DC to Long Island run often and Maryland is normally pretty bad (but leave it to Virginia drivers to utilize the shoulder when theres traffic.)
You now know that the left lane is a trap in MD. I whiz through Maryland mostly in the right and middle lanes. The right lane often completely devoid of cars for long stretches. Of course it does not help that to get to the rest areas in Maryland, you exit from the left!
New York drivers aren't that bad, it's the roads that suck. The Belt Parkway is another of my usual runs and that road will make you want to just hang a right into the river.
I feel your pain buddy! I drive NJ to Virginia on the back roads of 301 and Maryland BY FAR is the worst. Absolutely no consensus to like, I don't know, get PAST large 18-wheeled trucks. Nope, just cruise at the same speed right next to them. left lane? Thats for cruising as well. I think its our NJ heritage. Yeah, we are assholes on the road, but we respect the asshole thats going faster than us and get the hell out of his way!!
K. We went to Annapolis for this past weekend to stay with my bro. You're so right about the smaller highways.
Maybe it's the laid back, south of the Mason-Dixon line attitude. More likely, they are civil servants who work in Washington, which would make it repetitive to call them idiots.
