Too Cold For Global Warming

The Star-Tribune actually reported this:

An attempt by two men from northern Minnesota to cross the Arctic Ocean to call attention to global warming ended this morning because of poor weather conditions.

Lonnie Dupre, 43, and Eric Larsen, 33, were forced to abandon their planned 100-day, 1,200-mile trek after encountering unexpectedly heavy snow storms, strong winds and unusual ice conditions, according to Jane Kochersperger, a media officer with the environmental group Greenpeace, which co-sponsored the trip.

The men started the expedition about three weeks ago and had planned to complete their crossing -- the first ever in summer months -- by August.

You called attention to global warming alright. Perhaps you did more harm to your cause by your actions than Al Gore did a couple of winters ago.

Do I believe global warming is occurring? Yes. I think that it is more a natural phenomenon than man made. As someone in the business, I can tell you there's alot of junk science out there. I believe we need to cut down on the release of VOC's and particulates but not because of global warming, more to protect people's health.
