Terry "Global Crossing" McCauliffe is a little put out:

Ronayne's comment comes a day after McAuliffe blasted the GOP as being "shameless" for scheduling its national convention in Manhattan for Aug. 30 to Sept. 2 _ less than two weeks before the third anniversary of the Sept. 11 World Trade Center attack.

"I think it's a disgrace what they've done," McAuliffe said.

The 2004 Olympics are scheduled for Aug. 11-29, 2004, in Athens, Greece. The Democrats plan to hold their national convention in Boston during the week of July 26.

Since the party in power at the White House, now the Republicans, traditionally holds its national convention second, "McAuliffe tried to box us into competing with the Olympics for America's attention," Ronayne said. "We decided to negate that amateurish stunt by Terry McAuliffe and hold our convention after the Olympics."

What is the correct amount of time before the 9-11 anniversary that would be not "shameful" Terry? Of course your old boss decided that the first Trade Center bombing was not sufficient enough a photo-op to even visit the site.
