Israeli Insider takes a few snipes at Tom Friedman. I don't always agree with Friedman or his views toward peace in Israel. I think he has gotten so used to Arafat as a player, and perhaps just plain close to Arafat that he honestly feels that the Palestinians can solve the issues in their present make-up. I further believe that Friedman tries too hard to be the journalist who plays fair and reports the true facts of the Mid-east, he tends to come off as anti-Israeli. The Saudi peace plan fiasco was a great example of this.

Friedman wrote one of the best books I have ever read, and , depending on who you ask, the definitive report of events at the time. He has great insight into mid-east events, and tends to believe his own press.

I can't personally agree with the column saying that Friedman is a "Jew Baiter". I don't believe that he is the self-hating Jew that others tend to believe. I think Friedman sincerely wants peace, but has the Left mindset that Israel, being the cultured democracy, must cede more than the Palestinians to gain the peace.
