Thursday Night News and Notes

Sphere: Related Content

Daylight savings time comes a week from from Sunday. I need the sun and need more of it so it's all good.

Here's what's news:

-Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg get together again to produce and direct The Pacific about the WWII campaign that stretched from New Guinea to Okinawa. If it's half as good as the epic Band of Brothers, it will be worth tuning in every week. Trailer below:

-Europe is going nuts. Socialism breeds dependency and dependency breed feelings of entitlement. An endless, destructive cycle. BTW, thanks for the link, Glenn.

-Great moments in socialized medicine. Note: The pictures are pretty nasty and disturbing.

-Pending home sales drop about as much as everyone expected but the headline writer. We aren't coming out of this for a a good while.

-Two GOP'ers are tilting at windmills but I love the effort. Why couldn't Republicans have done this when they, you know, had control?
