Obama Gives The Queen an I-Pod

Sphere: Related Content

In the wake of all the jokes at his expense for giving Gordon Brown DVD's that he can't even play, Obama now tops that and gives the Queen of England an I-Pod:

Barack Obama met the Queen at Buckingham Palace today and gave her a gift of an iPod loaded with video footage and photographs of her 2007 United States visit to Richmond, Jamestown and Williamsburg in Virginia. In return, the Queen gave the President a silver framed signed photograph of herself and the Duke of Edinburgh - apparently a standard present for visiting dignitaries.

It is believed the Queen already has an iPod, a 6GB silver Mini version she is said to have bought in 2005 at the suggestion of Prince Andrew.
What, Netflix didn't deliver before Air Force One had to depart for Europe?

What an embarrassment this guy is. She's the friggin' Queen of England, she already owns an I-Pod as anyone with an Internet connection could have figured out and besides, she can buy whatever she wants. Why not give her something that has some meaning like something from the vault that may signify the enduring alliance we've shared? No, that would require about two seconds of thought and the economy and NCAA brackets don't allow time for that I guess.

But wait, it gets way better. He included some pix of her in America but also speeches made by...Obama. Narcissism and egotism all in one precious gift.

Perhaps when he meets Sarkozy he can give him a Vichy flag or something like it to show just how much we value their friendship. Hey, maybe he can give Angela Merkel a $1000 rebate for a GMC Sierra truck.
