I know, I know, don't question their patriotism:
The United States is at the head of the list, followed by Venezuela, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, Canada, Chile, New Zealand, the Philippines and Israel rounding out the top 10.To the Dems, the US is a racist, homophobic, sexist, militant malignancy. Look at those numbers; only 64% of Dems are proud of our past, a past in which we freed millions from Nazi and Japanese oppression, developed pharmaceuticals that allowed millions more to live a better life, provided assistance to the most drought starved people on Earth and provided equipment to save lives after natural disasters. Pathetic.
It was no random gauge of passing sentiment.
Respondents were asked to rate exactly how proud they were of their nation in 10 areas, including politics, history, diversity and culture. The U.S. was ranked highest overall, particularly in pride in democracy (how is Venezuela in it than--ed), economy, political influence, science and the military.
Other research has plumbed the country's patriotic souls as well.
Rasmussen Reports found that three-quarters of 1,000 likely voters polled on June 27 said they were proud of U.S. history. There is a partisan divide of note here, though. The survey found that among Republicans, 91 percent were proud of the past. The number was 64 percent among Democrats. About 72 percent of Republicans, compared with 29 percent of Democrats, said the U.S. was "a land of liberty and justice for all."
But the real telling number is the 29% who believe America is land where liberty and justice are paramount. Libs/Dems hate America the way we are and believe that we should be a socialist utopia ala France or even the Soviet Union. They can't bring themselves to see that people risk their lives to come here for a chance at a better life.
Michelle Obama was just putting into words what a large portion of Democrats feel, they aren't at all proud to be an American.
Libs tell us not to question their patriotism but when they continue to espouse abhorrence of America and what we stand for, I am definitely questioning their patriotism in the strongest terms possible.
