It's getting close, folks. Today is ratings day for my son and in three weeks we head down south for a tournament.
Here's a mix of interesting baseball info from around the league. For those not aware, Memeorandum has a collection of baseball info as well titled Ballbug:
Ryan Howard wins his arbitration case and gets his $10-mil. That is tied for most ever for a first year arbitration-eligible player. This could change the entire pay structure for young players, thus forcing a more thorough evaluation of talent for GM's.
We were elated when Dontrelle Willis and Miguel Cabrera were traded out of the division to Detroit, now the Phils have to deal with Johan Santana and that dude is filthy.
Vote for the greatest pitcher of all time. I'm partial to Carlton but Gibson was one nasty SOB and Randy johnson in his prime was unhittable.
After eight years the Marlins will get a new park.

Gibson. First pitsher I idolized, and one of the greatest competitors. Then comes Koufax.
Crap. "Pitsher" should have been "pitcher".
