The Paulistinian's are there in force and they are cheering their boy as he meanders through his inane theory of Israel being a "stepchild of the US". Dude is having and absolutely horrendous night.

Is Israel forever incapable of taking care of itself? How long must we be involved with their disputes? It puts us in a dangerous position by making us bitter enemies in the world. I sympathize with them, but why are we making this our problem? I would prefer to keep my money rather than give it to Israel. You can give them your money if you want.

Israel is our problem because they have nukes and they are aimed at the largest oil-producing area on Earth. a major event there and our entire economy goes kaput. Oops, I'm talking to a Paul supporter so the economy will always be bad unless the Savior, Ron Paul steps in and props the dollar up with gold.
Israel is a democratic bastion in a hostile area, we must ensure their stability for the log term.
Your boy was shown to be a fool this week as a whole and last night in particular. If you are so invested in this that you defend a man whose newsletter included some vile racist and anti-Semitic rants, than that is your prerogative. But by doing so, you align yourself with his words and policies and that's a brush i wouldn't want to be painted with.

I feel ashamed for nothing. War has freed an entire continent in WWII, a sovereign nation in 1991 and gave us our freedom.
You Paulnuts would have us strip the miltary down to nothing, but then who would protect all that gold needed to backup the dollar?

I'm practically speechless here.
Look... we, as human goddamn beings, should be caring about the welfare of others on this ENTIRE PLANET, not just those within our own borders. No, the United States cannot help everyone. But the United States should not ONLY be helping ourselves. If a nation is in trouble and needs help, someone ought to step in to help. If a bully is threatening to beat up or even outright completely kill a weaker party, NO nation should just stand aside and watch as that happens and say, "Well, it's not our problem." That would be unbelievably immoral and unjust. To allow evil to reign is nothing but wrong.
There's no warmongering going on here. There is no beating of Drums of War signaling an impending invasion. Is there? No. No one wants war. Anyone who does is insane. But, as Scott said in not these same words -- war is NEEDED in this world. That absolutely cannot be denied. But Jesus Christ, how many fucking lines do you draw in the sand? How many chances should someone get? Hussein had 17 chances in 12 years. All along he screwed with everyone he came in contact with. How long should diplomacy be carried out for a nation that threatens to wipe another off the map??!?!? What if Iran got 20 resolutions but right before the 21st, that's when they launched nuclear weapons towards Tel Aviv?
Not our problem? Give me a break.
Again, and read my finger stokes clearly -- no one wants war. But to stand by and let other nations kill Israel off -- immoral and unjust.
Ron Paul is off his rocker... or maybe that's where he needs to be, on his rocker in a nursing home... on Pluto.
My favorite thing about Paul in the debate was Fox showing a side-by-side view of Ron Paul talking and McCain looking like -- "Why do we have to put up with this?"
My thoughts exactly.
P.S. let's withdraw forces from Iraq AND Afghanistan IMMEDIATELY? Yes, we should if we want al Qaeda to have a home of their very own, a place to freely set up training camps where they can plan more attacks on us to kill more Americans. Maybe next time they'll use nukes given to them by Ahmadinejerk.
