Not sure if it was ideology, money or something more sinister:

WASHINGTON (AP) - A former congressman and delegate to the United Nations was indicted Wednesday as part of a terrorist fundraising ring that allegedly sent more than $130,000 to an al-Qaida and Taliban supporter who has threatened U.S. and international troops in Afghanistan.

The former Republican congressman from Michigan, Mark Deli Siljander, was charged with money laundering, conspiracy and obstructing justice for allegedly lying about lobbying senators on behalf of an Islamic charity that authorities said was secretly sending funds to terrorists.
Traitorous actions such as this should lead to life in prison without the possibility of parole. It used to be we just shot traitors but I want this guy--if convicted--to be sent to the Supermax in Colorado where he can go insane with Ramzi Youssef, Zacarias Moussaoui, the Blind Sheikh and other terrorists who plotted to harm American's.

He won a special election to replace the retired David Stockman and served two more terms. He's American born, which pisses me off even more.

Update: He can also spend his days with other US-born terrorist's Terry Nichols and Eric Rudolph.

Update: Yeah, it seems like it was greed.

Strange thing is...Republicans call him out. Dems would just re-elect him.
