You know you're reading someone not quite all there when they rant about the media "ass-kissery" of the President and Condi Rice. Some chick named Christy Hardin Smith blogging at Jane Hamsher's train wreck, FDL (For Delusional Liberals) actually slams the AP and the NY Times for kissing up to Dubya. I know, I know, Ms. Smith must be far to the left if she believes even for one second any news organization is too easy on the President.
That's par for the course at that brain dead site but this is what got my attention:
– Finally, there is an intriguing review for a book on the “Israeli lobby” in Foreign Affairs. I’m wondering if anyone has read it and/or has insights on the authors — John J. Mearsheimer and Stephan M. Walt — or the reviewer, Walter Russell Mead of the Council on Foreign Relations. I know a bit about each, but would love additional background if anyone has some to share. Here's a lot of background, they are anti-Israel in ways that are insidious because they present their case under the guise of scholarship, which means they are taken more seriously for some reason. They published their thoughts on the Harvard website and their collective thoughts can only be called anti-Semitic. They blame Israel for everything in much the same way that liberals blame Bush for everything. Right now, Smith must be blinking her eyes and saying "yeah, your point being?"
Mearsheimer and Walt have won even higher praise than that of Walter Russell Mead, they've won the tacit approval of white supremacist David Duke.
So Ms. Smith, start reading and tell me if your opinion is on par with much of the left and David Duke or that of right-thinking folks.
