Count Me Among the 16%

A Zogby poll has bad news for libs and Truthers, 9/11 ranks as the single most historical event of 81% of American's lives. More:

Eighty-one percent of those surveyed said they see the attacks as the most significant historical even of their lifetimes, with more people on the east coast -- 90 percent -- choosing this view compared to 75 percent on the west coast.

...The poll also showed 61 percent of respondents saying they think of the events at least once a week and 16 percent saying they think of the attacks every day.

I do think about it every day. Whether it's because I drive to the New York City area frequently or because I write about current events, it crosses my mind several times a day.

Tomorrow represents a day when we lost a bit of our innocence that we'll never get back. We were attacked and like it or not had to respond. That response continues to shape everyday thinking including flying, politics and other less noticed daily occurrences.
