Why Do Liberals Run From Honest Debate?

Sphere: Related Content

Because they're liberals of course. It's in their collective DNA, kind of like the French.

Today we have two great examples, Joe Wilson and Jimmy Carter.

Ambassador Wilson is a media whore second only to Cindy Sheehan when it looked like Karl Rove, Cheney or Bush were responsible for "leaking" Valerie Plame's "undercover" status and name. The case effectively ruined Louis "Scooter" Libby's life for no reason.

Now that the Libby trial is approaching, the man who talked into a thousand microphones has decided that the thousand and first is not one he wants to get near:

WASHINGTON - Former ambassador Joseph Wilson asked a federal judge Wednesday not to force him to testify in the CIA leak case and accused former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby of trying to harass him on the witness stand.

[...]"Mr. Libby should not be permitted to compel Mr. Wilson's testimony at trial either for the purpose of harassing Mr. Wilson or to gain an advantage in the civil case," Wilson's attorneys wrote.

Where I come from, we call a man who makes accusations then runs away when they are proven false a pussy. Wilson fits right into that category. Run away Joe, the Vanity Fair cover shots are behind you now.

Next in our long line of liberals who preach tolerance and open debate yet can't actually argue for the false or plagiarized points they've written. I give you Professor Dershowitz versus the worst President we've ever had, Jimmy Carter:

YOU CAN ALWAYS tell when a public figure has written an indefensible book: when he refuses to debate it in the court of public opinion. And you can always tell when he's a hypocrite to boot: when he says he wrote a book in order to stimulate a debate, and then he refuses to participate in any such debate. I'm talking about former president Jimmy Carter and his new book "Palestine Peace Not Apartheid."

[..]Nor is Carter the unbiased observer of the Middle East that he claims to be. He has accepted money and an award from Sheik Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan , saying in 2001: "This award has special significance for me because it is named for my personal friend, Sheik Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan." This is the same Zayed, the long-time ruler of the United Arab Emirates, whose $2.5 million gift to the Harvard Divinity School was returned in 2004 due to Zayed's rampant Jew-hatred. Zayed's personal foundation, the Zayed Center, claims that it was Zionists, rather than Nazis, who "were the people who killed the Jews in Europe" during the Holocaust. It has held lectures on the blood libel and conspiracy theories about Jews and America perpetrating Sept. 11. Carter's acceptance of money from this biased group casts real doubt on his objectivity and creates an obvious conflict of interest.

Game set and match for the Professor. Note to self: never piss off Dershowitz.

Typical liberals, both. They put out any filth they want, the media eats it up without doing any fact-checking, then when others actually read the book and question the contents, they refuse to debate. Liberals hate when their ideas or thoughts are questioned because they so often get destroyed by facts.
