The Detroit Tigers are this years Cinderella story and with good reason. Jim Leyland has forged the older veterans and young players into a machine that produces timely hits, good pitching and excellent fielding.
Congrats to former Phillie (oh how they wish they had him now) Placido Polanco who hit an astounding .529 and received the MVP award.
