Hilali and that Whole Uncovered Meat Thing

Tim Blair has the line of the day in response to this quote from Hilali's spokesimam:

He likened the quoting of Rafii to Pope Benedict’s recent citing of a Byzantine religious scholar who said that Islam had been spread by the sword.

Does that therefore justify non-Muslims attacking mosques and shooting Hilali’s followers, as happened post the Pope’s speech? Just askin’!
