Senate Passes Abortion Notification Bill

The abortion debate has heated up in recent days as the senate debated and passed a bill making it a crime for a minor to be taken across a state line without parental approval:

WASHINGTON, July 25 — The Senate passed legislation Tuesday that would make it a federal crime to help an under-age girl escape parental notification laws by crossing state lines to obtain an abortion.

The bill was approved on a 65-to-34 vote, with 14 Democrats joining 51 Republicans in favor.

This is a loser issue for the donks. Many parents will support this bill because they would want to know if their child was planning on having an abortion. Even those Americans who are mildly pro-choice have to concede that this is not an infringement on abortion as the NOW and NARAL yahoo's will make it out to be.

Many Americans feel that they would not want their daughters' 18-year old boyfriend taking their little girl for an abortion out of state. It's a visceral issue.

Of course we have Babs Boxer emoting:

“I don’t think the American people support throwing Grandma in jail because she embraced her granddaughter and said, ‘Oh my God, I’m worried that your dad may hurt you if you tell the truth,’ ” said Senator Barbara Boxer, Democrat of California.

That has always been the biggest problem with the pro-abortion lobby, they take everything to an extreme.

Get ready for the onslaught of pro-abortion advocates on the talk shows again.
