Just Don't Question Their Support of the Troops

I've chronicled the decline of the left on a daily basis for three and a half years. Just when it seems they've hit bottom, they pull the shovel out and dig deeper. You know and I know that they hate our military with a passion usually reserved for child molesters. Now they are starting to be heard. Lisa De Pasquale has this about a deployed soldier whose family was brutally murdered (via: Tim Blair):

After reading about this tragedy, I clicked on the link for reader comments. I wasn't prepared for the disgusting comments from anti-war lunatics. Many on the Left purport to "support the troops" even though they disagree with the war. Here's what they say under the anonymity of the internet when the cameras aren't rolling:

Maybe he signed up for the wrong profession because who in their right mind would want to be a army man? He should have studied harder in school and found a real job instead of joining the army. Lmao , be all u can be? Don't patronize me ! People who join the army either have no education or come from small towns.. He should blame himself for his family dying due to his lack of education.
Nice, huh? There's alot more that'll sicken you. I think it must be the work of Karl Rove because real liberals don't think this way:
“So my conclusion is that the bloggers who violently hate Israel and see it in black and white terms are not really liberals. They may even be anti-Semites, but they are not representative of the liberal community that was so active in achieving racial and ethnic equality. It is a contradiction for a true liberal to be an anti-Semite.

Furthermore, I would not put it past the right wing to flood the liberal blogs with hateful criticisms of Israel to advance a perception that liberals are anti-Israel or anti-Semitic. And I see Karl Rove’s fingerprints all over this.”
Update: More at Ann Althouse and don't miss this excellent piece by Suzanne Fields in the JWR.
