Just a few short months ago, the Democrats were feeling good about themselves. Bush's approval numbers were in the twenties and they felt they had a good shot at taking the House, Senate or both.
Well, let's say their optimism has been a bit tempered.
Biden makes a racially insensitive remark, Dean and Kerry say whatever they think is the line of the day and they continue to beat up on a man who was their VP candidate in 2000 and a credible presidential candidate in 2004. A man who sounds the sanest and most respectable when talking of the war on terror mind you.
