Zarqawi in Hell

In the midst of one of the biggest news stories of the year, I was on the NJ Turnpike headed towards that not-so-beautiful city of Hackensack.

Others covered it very well, but none like Iowahawk.

My two cents is that the US military did an excellent job of developing the intelligence and executing the plan to liquidate the terrorist scum.

Something that has not been commented on as much as I'd have thought is that the US executed this plan knowing that there may well have been some collateral damage. That is a change that is very important. They knew that Zarqawi had to be taken out and that the price would be high if they failed. They did not.

Now we take out the guy who steps into Zarqawi's singed shoes, and the next...

Will this end the insurgency? No. Will it have an effect on slowing and eventually curtailing the insurgency? Most definitely yes.
