An Insurmountable Chasm

Sphere: Related Content

The left in this country is no longer the left of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy or even Eugene McGovern. The left of the country is now so far out there that even Cindy Sheehan is starting to look somewhat rational. Well not really but you get the point.

Noam Chomsky has been hangin with uber terrorists Hezbollah in Lebanon where the hashish must be particularly potent:

"The regional superpower Israel is threatening to attack it [Iran], the U.S. is threatening to attack it. These threats alone are outright violations international law and of the U.N. charter. Iran is in difficulty. Iran has been trying for some years to negotiate settlement but the U.S. just refuses."

Read that again. OK Noam, Iran is not "in difficulty," they are in the process of building a nuclear arsenal with which they propose to "wipe Israel off the map" according to their highly unstable pseudo leader. They have not been trying to negotiate anything. They want nukes to ensure they are the power broker in the region and they want to be power broker so that they ensure a civil war between Shiites and Sunni's comes to fruition. They are looking to settle scores that started a millenia ago.

Chomsky is what alot of the young leftists--leftists who would be absolutely unidentifiable to true leftists--are reading and they take his words to heart.

We have a tough few years ahead.
