While I could be posting about al-Qaeda's link to Saddam--news to none who've been paying attention and didn't have an agenda--I think I'll keep things happy and light since the beer is cold and the weekend is upon us (plus Duke got knocked out last night by LSU).
So you say, what can I do this weekend for entertainment? I am going to see Ratdog at the converted warehouse known as the Electric Factory, one of my favorite places to see a show along with the Tower Theater. If you're in Philly, come join me; I'll be the dude in a tie-dye looking a bit dazed from a few beers. Of course, that will be just about everyone there so just walk up to someone and say "hey Scott", it may not be me but you could still have an interesting conversation with someone you've never met. Another way to pick me out would be to look for a guy who's 6'1" dancing with a hot girl who's 5' on a bad hair day. That would be my wife.
What else can you do this weekend? If you're in NYC, you can see the Allman Bros. with Warren Haynes finishing up the epic Beacon Theater shows.
Or better yet, stay home tonight and hang with the family unit if you can. Drink a couple of Yuengling Lagers (for those that can't get this excellent beer from the oldest brewery in America, I can only say "sucks for you") or a glass of wine and talk about the coming of spring.
Whatever you choose to do, enjoy the weekend.
