Once again, we are at the time of year where only the most foolhardy of bloggers make predictions thus setting themselves up for ridicule come October. That said, I once again make my fearless predictions.
In the NL East, I believe (hope?) the Braves run comes to an end. The Mets are loaded and with the addition of Billy Wagner will win 97 games and win the division before the last week.
The Phillies will be a stronger team this year with reigning Rookie of the Year Ryan Howard on an absolute tear this spring. Chase Utley will hit 30 homers and the Phightins' will take the wild card.
In the Central, I still have to go with Saint Louis. The Astro's will make it interesting and take it to the last weekend. I'd like to see the Cubbies make some sort of run but I don't think their pitching will hold up.
In the west, I like the Dodgers. The Giants will be in turmoil city with the whole Bonds fiasco going on and the Padres are a year or two away.
To sum up:
NL East-Mets
NL Central-Cards
NL West-Dodgers
Wild Card-Phillies.
American League over the weekend.
